  1. As a former uk motor trader I never clocked a car. I'd like to have Lady Roadrunner clocked though.... anyone know how?
  2. All it takes is for the Thais to require a tax clearance certificate to obtain your visa. Plus all incoming bank transfers could be taxed. In which case we are all out of here. For sure the Thais will make up the rules to suit themselves. For sure the rules will be totally devoid of any common sense and poorly thought out in true Thai fashion. I wait to see exactly what they are going to do.

  4. As if we needed to be reminded of how tenuous our position is here. The Thais can change the rules and do what they like. If they do this the new rules will be typically well thought out in true Thai manner. Total chaos and a lot of departing farang will result, taking our money with us. Does anyone remember the dreaded tax clearance certificate that one had to obtain from the Thai tax dept before immigration would allow us out of the country. Cambodia begins to look more appealing.
  5. Cheapest known brand name is usually Dunlop. I just bought a set of Kumho (Cum Hoe) which are made in Korea. Cheap and good quality.
  6. Cheapest well known brand name is Dunlop. Kumho, from Korea, are not so well known but even cheaper and very good.
  7. DaRoadrunner replied to willyumcr's topic in Pattaya
Problem I have with both Shopee and Lazada is they don't allow you to open the package before paying COD. You can almost get in a fight with some of the delivery boys. Often the package does not contain the correct item, or it does not stand up to comparison with the advertised photo.
  8. Just marry a Thai. Pretty soon you will have a whole tribe of em on your hands.
  9. Roadrunner is looking for a Leather trim shop in Bangkok that can reupholster my car's interior. Most Thai shops use Pig skin. I need Cow skin or Napa and possibly Alcantara. Thanks
  10. That XJ220 belongs in my hands. The bank robbery takes place soon.
  11. Silicone Wax combined compound and polish in one.
  12. Looking at the comments.... what did I start here?! Roadrunner is ex uk car trade and so not worried about Jags being high maintenance. Yes a Toyota may be reliable, but who wants one? Driving a Japanese car is a bit like running my nails down a blackboard. Arrrggghhhh! Nothing has the feel, soul and character of a Jag. Let me enjoy before we are all forced to buy an electric car.
  13. Da Roadrunner is looking for a Jaguar XJC or XJR or XKR. Anyone want to sell please contact.
