Advise on buying a BYD car.
DaRoadrunner replied to Nacho Libre's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
50% off is the trade price.... Thai dealers will add their mark up. BYD is the most popular and so may cost you more than most Chinese cars. -

Advise on buying a BYD car.
DaRoadrunner replied to Nacho Libre's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Depreciation is heavy on Chinese cars. Expect it to lose up to 50% of its value in the first year. Conversely, one less than a year old should be a bargain. The finish and build quality of BYD looks better than others. -

Does Toyota and Suzuki use same oil filter?

It is not just measuring size that matters. What is the filter made of inside? What is its flow rate? Only use genuine filters. -

By which time the Muslims may have taken over. They are worming their way into positions of authority in the Police and Councils. 7 towns have a Muslim Mayor. There are already about 40 Muslim MPs. How long before we see a Muslim Prime Minister? Sharia Law anyone? Farage is right, we need to deport the lot of em..... but he may be too late.- 66 replies

Report Bangkok's Formula One Ambitions Face Potential Financial Deficit
DaRoadrunner replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
There is a mickey mouse Thai track.... not suitable far a host of reasons. FYI I was on the committee that originally tried to get F1 here. If it comes at all it will end up being a street circuit around Bangkok, which is also not suitable. But the great God of the Thais is money and that is the only way it will ever happen -
Report Bangkok's Formula One Ambitions Face Potential Financial Deficit
DaRoadrunner replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Ah yes but, the Thai Customs Dept will impound all 20 cars and demand fees for their release. Plus F1 will have to bribe countless officials to make it happen in the first place. They tried before and it fell through due to a lack of brown envelopes and the lack of a professional track. -
If it's for Thais I would not waste money on expensive Scotch that they are only going to dilute 90% with soda. I once gave my Thai maid some Italian Pinot Grigio wine and she said it tasted like Spy Wine Cooler sold in the 7/11. The likes of Glenfiddich and Bookers are wasted on Thais, but they like to show off they can afford it.... image over substance is Thai.

Health Thailand Battles Covid Surge with 12,000 Cases in a Single Day
DaRoadrunner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Of course it originated from outside Thailand and is considered a Farang disease. If it gets worse I would not be surprised if all Farang be required to provide proof of a vaccine shot at immigration. Considering the side effects of the vaccine I will obtain a medical exemption certificate if necessary. Meanwhile I am wearing a mask again.
