  1. Main problem here is that Turbo bearings are titanium. Ordinary steel won't last. And what type of bearing do the Thais fit?.......
  2. Thanks for all the response... This leaves us with the question.... is it safe to drink?
  3. I am thinking dairy farm outside Bkk
  4. Anyone know where I can buy raw unpasteurized goat or cows milk? Within reasonable distance of Bangkok. Need a couple of liters.
  5. Try a different land transport office.... they vary greatly. You can use any office for road tax. I have in the past changed ownership and road taxed a car with a colour change.
  6. Which is the most friendly and has the best service?
  7. Thanks Sheryl, She specialises in Thyroid Ultrasound and Osteoporosis. I have a Diabetic condition caused by Autoimmune. It also affects Pancreas and Thyroid. I thought the following were best? Though I would value your opinion. https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/doctors/Sarawut-Summachiwakij https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/doctors/Pauline-Limchaiyawat https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/doctors/Varaphon-Vongthavaravat
  8. Sorry.... Bangkok. .... Autoimmune affecting the Pancreas and Thyroid
  9. Looking for a knowledgeable Endocrinologist (Type 1 Diabetes) and a Rheumatologist (Autoimmune). As has been found before…. It is crucial to find the one who knows what he is doing! Thanks to all for assistance.
  10. The words "professional" and "body paint shop" don't often come together here! Let me know when you find one, I'm looking too. I am former uk motor trade and despair at what I see in Thai body shops. Anyone got a spray booth?..... I'll do it myself.
  11. Exactly where do you dispose of (fence) a defibrillator? Obviously the perpetrator was of a nationality known for their forethought.
  12. Not much point doing repairs here as within no time you will get another dent. Wait till someone crashes into you and claim it off their insurance.
  13. Where are you getting such cheap repairs?
  14. Cam chain. No problem so long as it's not noisy. Inside oil filler looks clean, probably had regular oil changes. No sign of white emulsion, which would indicate blown head gasket. So why the query?
  15. I have been there late in the evening when no one was at the desk
  16. In theory you can.... assuming there is someone manning the desk at the airport!
  17. This is how they force Thais to do one of the things they hate.... be responsible! Staff are told that if the till comes up short the missing amount comes out of their pay.
  18. Leaks are found using ultra violet light which shows up the gas as a green colour where the leak is. This is one time where I would not use the genuine Benz part. Copy parts will do and cost less.
  19. Retrospective payments (and penalties) would be requested for the intervening period. I recall the fine is 7 Baht / day. If you go over 3 years then you will need to have a new blue reg book. I have done it, no problem.
  20. Brings a whole new definition to the words "short time" I'll believe it when I see it. Meanwhile, those of us on a Retirement Visa will still have to spend ages at Chaengwattana.
  21. "One possibly important issue is the coolant was changed recently" Yep, possible air lock preventing normal water circulation.
  22. Resale value is a big problem with Chinese cars.
  23. I would add that your biggest problem in Thailand is ensuring you find a doctor who knows what he is doing!
  24. Nope, Bumrungrad two years ago. Thailand's most expensive hospital was only paying nurses 15,000.
