    BKK Hotel

You sir, stands for 33% of all posts, so if the OP has left the topic, then you are most likely a big contributor to this.? How many of your posts had any value to OP or anybody?

    BKK Hotel

Yes I stayed at Landmark hotel, because TG had 3 flights per day so my Pakistan work was fast in/out. I only mention it, because Landmark was nice. But value for money I preferred Stable Lodge, which was a horrific 10% from the budget and thereby you decide it is rubbish. It was just my inputs, but I guess today I learned what a troll is and now I need to learn to stop feeding the troll who wish to answer all posts. Is soi 8 sleazy? or what you call it?

    BKK Hotel

So my post was rubbish? It was just my inputs and I think my single post was much more valuable, than your 28 posts in this thread. Or if you know it all, then please share your wisdom. 1800thb is only 200 thb per night from a 2000-3000thb requested target (10%). Are my inputs obsolete/rubbish, just because you deem they are? OP also mention activities most of the 4 days = I would personally stay close to a Sukhumwit BTS station, unless I am driving around. Most of the really amazing high rise roof tops are located along Sukhumwit rd. Is 400m up Soi 8 a "sleazy" area?

Why so grumpy and anti on all posts? Get a life! Is 1800thb in the middle when OP asked for 2000-3000thb per night? Please also note that he asks for late Dec/Christmas = my 1800thb estimate will most likely be 2000-2500thb per night. Anyways - it was just a recommendation as well as Landmark, even this outside of budget. Bravo on yourself

    BKK Hotel

I can recommend Landmark hotel, but will be 4000-5000thb per night. Best value for money for me is Stable Lodge on Soi 8. 300-400m up the soi, quiet, clean and nice + some of the best Scandinavian and Indian food in Bangkok. Rooms are small, but clean and nice. All rooms have a balcony and I think around 1600-1800thb per night for 2 adults incl. breakfast. For Ho Chi Minh I prefer Liberty Central Saigon Riverside. Great location and the view over the river and opposite land will be pretty spectacular on New Years eve. I guess around 4000 thb per night, if they have available rooms.
  6. In my home country every fire department has a container and crane truck on standby. Some EV fires demands a full submersion in water and that is what they do now. This was never a problem with petrol/diesel/gas fueled cars. I am not against EVs and looking forward to get one - but that is not what the topic is about.
  7. I guess it depends if you travel outside Thailand a lot or not? I use a cc from Kasikorn because I travel a lot, I know it comes with a cost of 2-3% which annoys me, but the past 2 years of usage was 185k miles to my ThaiAirways account = our next trip to EU on business will cost us ECO ticket price. I was annoyed by the 2-3% but if a person travels a lot (lots of flights and hotels outside of Thailand) then it makes sense if you also remember to use the points earned at the end of the day.
  8. Similar problem with Google Earth and road numbers in Thailand. Especially the smaller rural roads with 4 numbers XXXX, they can be very long and only have the road name mentioned every 5 km. Zooming out and in, I usually find the actual road number. If not, then I go streetview and look at the road markers.
  9. This is the vet mentioned above: https://goo.gl/maps/osiPc1hhZbkeNRah9
  10. Hi mate Sorry to hear about your dogs problem, tough times when you as owner want to do anything to get your dog back on track. We have 5 dogs from 3-7 years old. I can recommend the Vet we are using in Ban Chang. They have done perfect on our previous problems: Broken front paws and toes. Broken hip and leg. Spitting Cobra. 1 month ago our oldest dog was sick, she was happy, running around, but vomiting more than normal. Her stomach had some kind of fluid and was big. Our vet drained around 3-4L fluids every 3 days for 3 weeks. But most importantly the medication they gave our dog worked and she is even more healthy and active now. Blood tests showed it was a problem with the Liver, so I didn't expect her to survive, but she did. Not the same symptoms as your dog, but I can recommend our Vet in Ban Chang if you dont mind a 30-40min drive. Best of luck
  11. I visited Green Sky Cafe in Ban Chang Sunday. (not Pattaya I know, but around half price of the shops in Pattaya). Nice owners and they had like 20-25 different strains - all looking dank except the cheap Thai brick. The price was ranging between 200-450thb with 450thb being the highest. + they had a promotion with buy 2g and get 1g free. It is only a 30min drive from Pattaya and I am pretty sure they can arrange delivery if you ask.
  12. I beg to differ from your point of view. At least Stoner has shown pictures of his dank buds where you are just talking bs. Another point is you keep telling people to buy local Thai Sativa buds including the best "hermi" seeds on the planet - maybe the worst recommendation ever!
  13. Sorry to hear. There is a dispensary 600m from Ramada Plaza. Google "Weed Castle Cannabis Dispensary". It looks like they are selling buds. Well wishes for your daughter.
  14. Scaliwags66 - as far as I know the Samsung LM301H diodes are the top of the line and better than LM301B diodes. Expensive yes, but they will grow proper green if you take good care of your plants. Maybe a good idea to double check if they indeed come with LM301H diodes? Kingbrite is a well know producer, so in theory you should be able to trust them, but many things can happen when you order from China... 4 lights + AC, ventilation and fans will end up around 6-7 kW = you will need 2 phases of 15A or 3 phases of 10A. 8 lights - basically double up = 4 phases of 15A or 6 phases of 10A. Take a look in your electricity cabinet and check how many phases you have and what Amp for each phase. After that you can plug in some normal lights in your room and by switching the phases on/off you should be able to learn which outlets runs on which phase. You should also try to determine what phase the AC is running on.
  15. Better safe than sorry. I was using a German brand "Dremel" on some Carbonfiber parts I had moulded. Since it makes a mess with itchy/sticky CF dust, I did it on our lawn stupidly barefooted. Dremel at 12000 rpm starting to put sparks into my hand and I was lucky to somehow throw the tool away. This was from our old house in Jomtien with proper electricity installation but the HFI relay did not cut off the power. So I learned a lesson or two.
  16. Very hard to say, as houses here are built differently. Our house has 4x32A (for 4 big ACs) and then another 7x16A which corresponds to one phase of 16A for each room + 16A for living room + 16A for basement + 16A for outside outlets. So my guess is that most houses here has 1 phase per room = max draw 2200W or 3520W. (but relatively easy to put an extension cable from another room/phase). Check your electricity cabinet and see how many phases you have of 10A/16A/32A as a start. Also say how many Watts per light you are aiming for.
  17. Agree with Tomster. But it is easy to calculate total Watt for your grow room, so I suggest you start with saying how many Watts per light you want. 2nd take a picture of your electricity cabinet. It will show how many phases you have and how many Amp per phase. Typically houses here are constructed with several 10/16/32A phases. (32A is usually connected to large AC units). ONE 10A / 220V phase = max draw 2200W per phase. (AxV = W). ONE 16A / 220V phase = max draw 3520W per phase. I would not be too concerned about earthing if you go with LED lights, as the driver converts 220V to 12V for the lamps you might touch and adjust. I would be more concerned if you draw 3000W on one 10A/220V phase = hot cables and potentially starting a fire. Ventilation is normally 220V units, so you need to be a bit more careful with these if not earthed/grounded, but most ventilation systems are made safe enough to handle when they are turned on. Suggest you buy quality in case you dont have 3 holes per outlet. Even if you have 3 holes where one is ground it would be a good idea to ask an electrician to check if the earth is actually grounded or not. Advice: Always wear footwear with some insulation, minimum like slippers with 2cm plastic sole. Never barefoot on tiles or similar as you will quickly become the easiest path for electricity to travel to the ground.
  18. Nothing to do with boasting about what I paid. Just examples on what I bought in Pattaya dispensaries. Gelato was 400 thb per gram and is a great smoke and the cheapest good weed I have tested from a dispensary. Last post from my side in this wonderful and happy thread. Cheers
  19. Wrong. I went to Pattaya with my wife to meet my friend and his wife. We visited 6 Coffee shops over 3 days and in the evening enjoyed good live music. The purpose of our trip was to enjoy some good smoke, good company, good food and live music. Pattaya does not necessarily have to be about prostitutes and gogo bars! Anyways, lets burrow the axes and get back on the topic. These are the leftovers. All was between 400-900 thb per gram. The best I have tried was the GMO, which we smoked all off and was sold out on the 2nd day.
  20. Where is the love? I dont know "stoner" but I can read and he has added many good advices and info all the way, judging him by saying he is a new member and a troll says more about you being a newbie. Enjoy all the binnings/treasures from other growers, the few times I smoke a joint I want it to be supreme, but off course want it as cheap as possible. Maybe google sensimilla and understand that plants with seeds (hermies) does absolutely not produce good weed - since a lot of energy goes into developing the seeds instead of trichs/resin. Is it possible to turn this thread into something positive we all enjoy? where we wish to share our experiences and also learn without being hammered down as a troll?
  21. Stoner thanks, but I really dont feel like sharing much more on this forum. Usually Cannabis forums are nice and friendly, but very different on AN. Front mid and center is Amnesia Lemon Haze from Serious Seeds - very very Indica with strong fan leaves and branches, hard to train as the branches breaks super easy. All the rest are hybrids + 2 that are supposed to be 100% Sativa, but also does not look like Sativa ???? so who knows? Amnesia Lemon Haze reminds me about the Amnesia Haze (Core cut) that won several cups in Amsterdam, but 15-20 years ago. Core shared his genetics openly and we all shared without any costs or nagging on fellow growers/tokers. Amnesia Lemon Haze is also the 2 girls that smells/stinks the most. The yield will be poor, but quality will hopefully be good. Peace all, I suggest we all try to make this a more friendly forum instead of all the nagging. Together we are stronger + we all have a chance to learn a lot.
  22. Expatocean please tell me that you have visited Adam and got top shelf for 500 baht per gram? If yes, then my opinion is that you dont know what top shelf means. I guess you also feel a beer tastes better when you buy it at the local shop, no service, no music, no toilet (other than the nearest bush). If we buy weed online, then it will always be cheaper, but it has nothing to do with a night out and also enjoy; music, service, toilets and overall enjoy hanging around with other tokers. I only commented when I saw the same menu from BLOW Thailand and I like that place - peace. To get back on topic, the cheapest top shelf weed is the one you make yourself. Here is a pic of my 9 plants (yes we are registered and legal) but I dont expect these to become top shelf and comparable with the 900 baht per gram buds I can buy in a dispensary. Also overall not the same feeling as enjoying a good joint in good company, music, service, toilets etc. Each to each own... 5 days into flowering and I guess the end result will cost me around 200 baht per gram, but still not top shelf.
  23. Each to our own! But yes, I enjoy good weed and am happy to pay for it because 1 gram is peanuts compared to what I can spend on a rare night out. I ring less bells when I am high as a kite = overall I saved a lot of money ???? Not really the most expensive weed in the world, if you have visited other countries with "Coffee Shops" then it is only a tiny bit more expensive here. I believe most of the quality buds are imported from US or Adam. Anyways, this was not my point. I only commented on "BLOW Thailand" as it was the shop I got the best stuff and felt most welcomed. Out of 6 shops in Pattya. Nr 2 and very close would be Guncha between Pattaya soi 9-10.
  24. I spent 2 nights in Pattaya last week, mainly to try out some of the shops with my old friend from school who was on visit. BLOW Thailand is the best place I have visited. Tried GMO, Cherry Pie and Galactic Jack as "high/sativa" smoke and they worked as prescribed - I was very high, but still in a party mood. I also bought MAC-1, but for sleeping/Indica and have not tried it yet. 890 = 890 thb per gram for the top strains. So I wonder why this original post was not kicked and ashamed already in this "only cheap" weed thread? There will always be a big difference between quality and less quality weed. I am happy to pay the 900-1000 thb per gram, as I can maximum take 1 gram during a night out. That being said, I really look forward to top box weed costing 400-500 thb per gram, but I dont see it happen anytime soon. Most shops I visited was sold out of many strains I tested the day before.
  25. I was in a similar situation 5 years ago. Previous employer was under BOI, but the only difference for me was fast track in BKK airport when comparing BOI with current non-BOI work permit. After I resigned, the company wanted me to come for a final briefing/questionnaire on "why and what went wrong". During this 6 hour briefing they also cancelled my work permit and said "goodbye" by giving me 24H to leave Thailand. I did not care, since I already had plane tickets to Singapore and a new job in Thailand waiting for me the very next day. Only thing that annoys me today, is that my visa and work permit now has to be renewed with 2.5 months between them, where old company was with visa and work permit renewal within 3 weeks - a bit less hassle. I am not sure whether a BOI company can cancel ones work permit with a 24H warning - I dont think so? but did not challenge it.
