New battery for my Aerox arrived (Yuasa YTZ7V, mfg April/2023, "sealed, maintenance-free, pre-charged"), do I need to do initial charge? If yes, can I just charge it while driving 20-30min, or maybe longer? (I don't have a charger) Or should I take it to a shop and charge for a fee?

In other news reports (from UK and Singapore) it says that she actually "lost lower part of her left leg"... that's horrible.

Another issue could come up when time comes to officially cancel this extension before it expires... Agent might say it's not necessary and suggest exit out of Thailand, but as I understand, extensions for work and study must be officially canceled before they expire?

Wow, sorry to hear that about your friend... Personally I would not return with a passport with previous dodgy visa in it, I'd get a new one (even if they can see some history on their screen). Did he just hand all that cash to the I/O right there, or he had to call his visa agent to do the deal?

Hi I never did 30-days visa exemption, so for the flight booking purposes I'm curious how the immigration is counting 30 days of stay, for example if arrival is May/1, will 'stay until' stamp be May 30th or 31st? (asking because before I know in HK and in China the immigration starts count from the 2nd day of arrival, meaning when 1st day was fully passed, so their 'stay until' stamps would be May/31)

How long was her licence expired? One poster mentioned that his license was expired for more than 12 months so he has to do the tests.

Hi I'm planning to apply for E-visa (SETV) in the summer when I'll be back in Europe getting my new passport... For the required 'financial proof' I'll use bank statement from my home country, I almost never use that account and it's always empty, so I plan to put some money in it now and keep it for 2-3 months until I apply. Does anybody knows what is the actual amount (and deposited time) they need for SETV E-visa? Some websites say $700, others $1000-5000, and one guy even show $0 bank statement and got the visa lol... Need to pass 50 questions test to renew the license? I thought this is needed only 1st time when getting 1st licence (with driving test)?

Ok so (thanks to kind posters here) we can conclude that entry i/o can easily link and see your previous passport's entry / exit history and entry visas used for the past 20 years... The only question remains, can they also see actual extensions issued inside Thailand (not just entry visas)?

Sorry does anybody knows if the muffler & exhaust pipe can be painted normally (due to their very high working temperatures)? I have beautiful Aerox and it looks like new, but (originally) black muffler and pipe are getting that ugly yellow rusty color... I wonder if it can be painted to original black, instead of buying pricey new one. If you guys think this is normally done, then I'll take it to one the shops from this thread ... Thanks.

Is this the same IDC in BKK where everybody (including the overstayers?) are stuck while waiting to be deported? As I remember one Hungarian died few years ago (similar like this guy, Doctor said "he was okay" before he died), and also one young American (or Brit?) before him died under very suspicious circumstances, it was in the news.

I'll check first in a small nearby shop if it's a small issue (power button etc.), but if it's a big one then I'll go to Samsung SC... Yeah 'beIN Connect' is good app, but it doesn't include the World Cup... I asked beIN yesterday and they said they are not allowed to stream WC in Thailand (and in the rest of the world, apart from several Arab and African countries).

Any safe option for those of us here who are not from UK (can't use BBC & ITV via VPN) ? I'd gladly pay extra for a good service, than to depend on bandwidth limitations of streaming sites, as demand will be insanely huge as expected... There's nothing worse than buffering at the last minutes of the some important game lol. I use HDprime (380/month), but I would not rely on them for the World Cup, because last year they (and even Pulse 1000/month) buffered on final F1 race. (meanwhile Netflix & YouTube 4K worked flawlessly, so my internet was OK) Last WC I was in different countries, so I used Ripple website, it was great but now it seems it's gone downhill... Bein Sports Thailand told me they will *not* stream WC here "due to copyright rules" (lol), they will stream it only in some Arab & African countries. Any ideas from you guys are welcome, thanks! (we already got our Croatia shirts, snacks and drinks ready ???? )

Sorry to hear that, it was really harsh... Last month I flew Phuket-BKK-Phuket, both flights with my Thai license no problem, but it was VietJet, not AirAsia... it's crazy that different airlines has different rules.

Were there any recent positive reports on back-to-back TR visa trips to Penang? My fiance is on TR in Phuket, planned to do ED 3-6m, but time seems not enough, so she's thinking to do short flight to Penang to do TR there... But not sure if they will like that she just finished her previous TR... Or it's better to use an agent there, like OP was asking?
