  1. Mr Carson Yeung ( Aged 51 until quite recently a part-time hairdresser) self-proclaimed owner of Birmingham City Football Club will appear in court today in Hong Kong charged with five counts of money laundering.

As we speak officers from NB ( drugs squad ) are turning over the offices of Birmingham International the holding company in HK for BCFC. If convicted, he could get fourteen years.

    Oh dear oh dear..............................whistling.gif

  2. However this time the teams will better mirror the national characteristics of the British Isles. Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland will be joined by Poland Albania, and Rumania, with England playing In Florida joined by Canada and Australia to better reflect where the English reside.

The championships are still not assured however, as the majority of the population in Britain no longer care as the "pools" have been replaced by betting on no-balls in the Mumbai 20/20's

  3. Going down with West Ham ;)

Deserve it after that performance. :D

Come on now, I don't think we deserved to lose and it was a great match for the neutral but the draw was a fair result for both teams, Villa put out a strong team with some good players. It was good to see the team spirit still strong in the camp when we scored the third. We have Wolves next so fully expecting all three points.....IF we lose that one then I will really start to worry!

As you were saying about Wolves ? ( fair play to Terry though, gracious in defeat )

  4. Pattaya is what it is. The sleazy parts of town are sleazy, and unlike other pretentious parts of the world, the sleazy bits pretends to be nothing else.

Pattaya is large enough to accommodate everyone's dream. You want sleaze ? Buckets of it. You want restaurants , golf, bowls, genuine nice people who live and enjoy the company of like minded individuals, outside of the sleaze..................Loads of them. Schools , hotels, hospitals, It has it all, if you come to town with an open mind, and actually scratch the surface.

The majority of the bashers, have either never been there, or have only visited the sleaze and are in denial.

  5. I have lived in Asia for over twenty five years. I have seen in this time some first time tourists get into similar trouble as the age of a lot of Asian ladies is hard to guess with no experience. However if you have lived here for as long as this gentleman (hic) there is no excuse...........

ohh spare me. she was 14. You are telling me you can see some one mistaking 14 year olds for 20+? I don't care how long some one was living here or not, a look at the face will surely tell the age. If the perv would stop trying to sleep with 18-19 year old women and slept with women half their age instead they would never have any mix ups...

Hang around a while and you may find some folk are not as worldly wise as you purport to be.

  6. They are nasty little creatures and in previous generations great care was taken to prevent getting them. There is a whole range of 'etiquette' things that had to do with not bringing bed bugs into a house.

I grew up in a poor area in the US and there were bed bugs, not real common, but common enough. People that had them were treated like they had the plague. In one instance, the health department had an old house burned because of the bed bugs.

I think they would be easier to get rid of in Thailand, but in the US, they get into the walls (as well as living in mattresses and bedding), where even strong insecticides don't penetrate easily. And, I might add, they are pretty good at hitching a ride on clothing, in luggage etc.

They are faster than a bolt of lightening, so you seldom see them. Flick on a light, but they are all gone.

Certainly American Airlines are aware of transporting the seemingly epidemic infestations in the States. Bloody difficult to get rid of, but as stated the concrete construction here in LOS keeps them down in the linen and out of the walls.

  7. Personally, I think this weekly menu thing is a dud. It is a good thing for businesses to try new things and mix it up, but their long standing daily menu special program was a better program. I hope they go back to it.

Must agree with this. The daily specials were consistent and dam_n good value.

  8. Sorry to tell you, this is not a good idea. Unless you open a separate bank account for this purpose only.

Once you move, the bank will tell that they cannot stop the billing without approval from the utility companies.

So, then you go to the utilities and fill out a few forms and they never get processed.

And you end up getting billed forever. The only way I could get out of it was by closing my bank account. Fortunate for me, it was not one of my main accounts.

Same experience. Easy to open, bloody impossible to stop. Proceed with caution.
