Sad thing is a few of us on here picked this one out when it was announced as one the Met would not be looking forward to. I spotted it and I haven't lived in the country for 24 years, so how in the hel_l did they powers that be A> Not have a plan or B> If they had one, be seen to be totally incapable of executing it.
Time to swing the old lamp. In the early seventies, I went home and away to all the Wolves games. We were well supported then and took large crowds all over the country. A good portion of that crowd were out and out thugs, however, even without cameras and hi-tec comms equipment, some very nasty confrontations were better handled then than they were in East London. Something very wrong in the Met.

All leg-pulling aside. Lescott may not be a finished article, but he has all the basic skills and more to contribute to your City team...........Good luck.
-
Mate, as I've said, we ( Wolves ) get a nice healthy sell-on fee, so .....................shhhhhhh.
-
Would have to say that not many CH's have the on the ground ball skills of young Lescott.
Hope your medical system is up to speed, he had both his knee's done by a rather well known Wolverhampton family when playing for the Wolves. Expensive USA doctors seem to have put him back together again, but....................
-
Good grief !!!
In PC Britain only white youths attack black youths in such acts of senseless violence. It is totally un-PC to even think the other way around...............Wash your mouth out.
Good luck and best wishes to the lad.

Lescott fee agreed will be a massive step forward. Wolves had it fairly easy up the middle in the second half, wont happen again with Lescott.
-
Fair enough.
Lot of Wolves fans a tad pissed at the City fan sites who were all predicting 7-0 walk-overs.
Wolves are a little team with heart. Can't buy heart even with all the oil money in the world. I think Lescott will make the difference for your lot and as we have a sell on clause with Everton, we will make a few bob as well !!
-
Well lads if you saw the second half Mighty Mick may have a point. Talented enough going forward, but boy your back line was run ragged by little old Wolves, with even die hard City types thankful that you just held on.
-
I think Wolverhampton Wanderers will walk it.................. ( and then I woke up)

Not a good draw for the Old Bill
Wall V Hammers, Cardiff v The Gas......................Oh dear.
-
Bigger debts for sure, but the likes of Man Utd will not " ask " to go into administration................big difference.
-
Not only the bookies, professional punters would be flying in at the whiff, if it was 100% known.
Not saying it wont happen, but doubt if it's stitched on.................yet

And there was me thinking it was a chess club

Anyway to stop this turning into an Essex slug fest, the answer to the OP's question is...................
FC St Pauli, Hamburg,
From a team on the edge of distinction in the viloence infested late 70's ( average gate 1900 is ) the fans themselves took control and turned the whole thing around with capacity crowds, fantastic charity events and every game a carnival in the streets around the ground. They ( fans ) have turned the whole area around St Pauli on it's head and engage the community in everything from American football ( sad ) to chess.
If only my club and perhaps even yours could boast the same..........

So is it me or Ronado look good.I hope this is his year to come out. I hope he takes his shirt off this year and slides on his knees like he's so good at. Please stop me if I'm wrong. Please come out before
can anyone translate this?
Unless I'm mistaken. I wondered if it wasn't gay ? Those references to "coming out" and Ronaldo on his knees , etcetera. Although assuming that English isn't the poster's first language I may be wrong.
If English is not his first language ? He could be from Leicester

Staffordshire rules !!
I grew up being chased round the cemetery ( sometimes doing the chasing I may add ) in Stoke but have always had a soft spot for them.
Last season WBA did indeed play some attractive football but did not know how to win, Stoke did.
Unlike Hull who were a bit like a one trick pony, Stoke defended in depth and attacked with their strengths. If you have a man who can turn a throw into a corner, magic.
Top this with a clever manager ( getting rid of that rubbish we sold them to Hull a master stroke ) and they will do well.

Seems Wolves are being linked to Harper from Reading for around 2Mill.
Is he any good ?
-
The mighty Wolves have a very active " London " support and chaps from Scandinavia who travel on a regular basis.
However, no prawn sarnies in Wolverhampton......................Trust me on this, no self respecting prawn would show up.
-
Portsmouth in the news saying they will have to sell more players before the start of the season...................Not looking good.
-
Whilst we are waiting for HH...
"Highest League Ground above sea level" is West Broms ground (The Hawthorns).
Well done mate. My machine must be up the spout because your wonderful answer didn't show !!!
( p.s.....WBA FC= We're Always Bottom Again For Christmas )
-
Then perhaps my answer to Suiging is also correct in this case - Port Vale ?
No it's not, but I was a nano too slow on the old Berwick...............
-
Berwick Rangers !!
Which is the highest League ground above Sea Level............
Sorry too slow
