When will British politicians, of varying political stripes, stop sucking up to Washington?

If they cannot tell the truth, at least they could remain silent instead of turning the truth on its head.

International law applies to all nations.  None are above the law.

If you want "a rules-based order", international law is it.

BS. You know that the UN and the ICC are entities unto themselves and the agenda changes as to the whims of whoever is the elected President of such agencies.

Israel is doing the work that no one else has the guts to do.

The sooner the stone age Islamist ideology is exterminated the better.

Wokisum is my other pet target for obliteration.

Your initial intentions were to insult, but you have accidently come to a correct conclusion here. The Australian Labour party are floundering in a sea of PC. Always made more difficult by the fringe parties, with whom they are forced into coalitions, with their often-impractical ideas and policies.

The Australian conservatives are closely following the MAGA playbook in the hope that their base is just as gullible as the Americans.

    It may well happen.

Not trying to insult anybody but if you research enough you may come to a sensible conclusion on your own.

MSM is there to scramble logic.

Take a look at sessions of parlement and Senatorial inquiry's.

Have a look for them and view with an open mind.

I'm not here to change anyone's mind, just expressing my perspective.

Nothing wrong in what the PM said.

Defence is committed to Australia’s emissions targets of a 43 per cent reduction in emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2050, reinforcing the country’s commitment to the Paris Agreement and global climate leadership.

It is a TARGET, not a demand. The underlying  reasoning is rational and responsible.

Climate change is a national security issue that will increase challenges for Australia, Defence and our region. The challenges arising from climate change are recognised in the National Defence Strategy and Defence is taking action. Action on climate change is part of the Defence mission to defend Australia and its national interests. Effective action will advance Australia’s security and prosperity. The Australian Defence Force will work to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Defence will take a sensible and practical approach to adopting renewable energy for use in its deployable capabilities.

Nothing wrong in being  energy independent.

The average share of renewables in Australia’s main grid is around 40 per cent.

In Western Australia, which is an isolated grid not connected to another state, the peak share of wind and solar was 84 per cent. And in South Australia, when the state was electrically isolated from the rest of the grid, the peak share of wind and solar was 91.5 per cent, which shows that energy independence is viable.

It is unlikely Australia will ever be independent of gas fired or coal fired electricity generation, but it can certainly reduce the  dependence upon these polluters especially  the dirty coal.

I'm not going to argue with you as it would be a wasted effort.

I will say that the current Aust government is going the same way as the Dems in the US.

    Out the door.

You are obviously not a very smart person. The US of idiots is still unfortunately the biggest economy and most powerful country in the world  American politics impacts the whole world.

If the orange Manchild wrecks the American economy, he drags the world economy down with him.

What happens in Britain, stays in Britain. What happens in America, spreads around the world.

The second Trump term could turn out to be an unmitigated disaster for mankind.

Just a quick look into the US huge economy shows a National debt of 35 Trillion dollars.

Sure hope someone starts knocking that down.

  5. I used to go there a couple of times a year and I had a ball.

Before Pattaya it was Phuket which I grew out off after a few years.

World class? no I doubt it but Thailand is what it is.

Beaches ain't flash but the tourist attractions like night life, pussy and cheep smokes is fair, far better places in Australia for sight seeing but Aus in not for the budget conscious.

Not been to Pattaya for five years as I prefer the quiet life upcountry.
