The problem with Darwin award candidates is that they also endanger others in their immediate vicinity. -
Should the Thai government ban mobile use for motorcyclists?
Bert got kinky replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Meanwhile, in the 'Bangkok News' section of this forum, a news article is titled 'Bangkok gets tough with motorcyclists riding or parking on pavements'. Here's an idea, why not introduce laws that should already have been in place, such as (but not limited to): One pillion passenger only (no families). Helmets for both the rider and the pillion. No pavement surfing. No driving the wrong way. No turning on a red light because the roads are quiet. No phones for rider (except for a fixed GPS). No 12 to 15 year olds (16 to 18 provision licence, smaller cc allowance). REAL DRIVING TESTS. No illegal U-turns. Follow all other road laws/rules Once you have these laws in place, try enforcing them. -
Actually he was freely elected not just once, but twice Where did I state otherwise? Let's face it, the second election was a walk in the park after having his political opposition 'thinned out'. Pleas remind us all how many elections either Prayuth or Prawit actually entered as a candidate and won their place in a free vote. I don't care about this bunch either. They took their position by force rather than following the correct path of paying for votes.

I don't know the real name but my 'contributions' are paid as a deduction from my salary (sort of like NHS contributions in the UK). Don't know how much is deducted but IIRC, it is a minimal amount. For that, my company will register me to a local hospital (which can be changed on an annual basis) and all of my health cares are covered at the nominated hospital are for free of charge. I am led to believe that if I stop working, I am allowed to stay in the scheme, providing that I keep up my contributions.

I have no leaning to either party, all politicians are crooks (not allegedly). The strange thing is that I can post about either side but it's only the red shirt fan-boys who get all bent out of place. Hilarious and a little bit sad at the same time. Hilarious that anyone would trust any of these crooks and sad that they would fight in the corner of the very politicians who have/will rip them off.

Yes, I get a tax refund nearly every year (without deductions), without any effort. I also get refunds from work for fuel and for receipts acquired when looking after customers, also without deductions. Is there anywhere else that I should be getting refunds for, I like it when people give me my money back.? ????

Mr. Gorbachev, thank you for tearing down that wall. I know that I will be reminded by the most pedantic on the board that he never actually gave the order to remove the wall but his actions led to the result, Without his hand, the wall would have stood for much longer and may even still be in place today. His actions were very brave considering he was changing a very entrenched system, going against some very powerful men who were in danger of becoming 'very not powerful'. He single-handedly changed the world and gave freedom and basic human rights to millions entrapped by the Soviet Union. Thank you Mr. Gorbachev for making the world a better place. Rest in peace.

However, all foreigners, including expatriates, are likely to be charged the fee whenever they fly into Thailand. So not just for tourists as the headline suggests. This is because airlines are only able to recognise passenger information, such as nationality, and not the immigration status of a foreign national residing in Thailand. The easy answer to this would be to have a refund system in place for those eligible.
