To eliminate death and critically ill, otherwise how does good Dr propose Thailand or the rest of the world get on with life? Covid is not going anywhere and here to stay, vaccinations ensures people do not die and do not end up critically ill, but recover with minimal or no medical help.
Plus each time you recover your bodies defences are so much stronger so this is what ultimately will defeat Covid as the natural immunity will render it harmless, then it will be up to some amazingly stupid scientist to come up with something else. ????????

That works out at about 57,150 baht per tourist per trip, or 4760 baht per day over 14 days. A fairly believable figure.
That's just taxi fares trying to find somewhere open.????

The vacine does not protect from the viral infection and you can spread also after this jab, that we are in other Countries allready. The best example is Israël, they are administring the third jab allready as we write here. And still have many more cases, with full vaccination. This is all over the news. So where go from here??
This is the new NORMAL..live or die with it this is where we are.
More danger of dying in car accident rushing home before curfew.

Thailand has 69 million people. Thailand has 1.28 million detected Corvit cases. Thailand has 12,855 Corvit dead. The death rate for detected Corvit cases in relation is around 1%. The risk of death in relation to the population would be: 12855 × 100 / (69000000-1280000) = 0.018%. Why do some doctors fail to understand that the population is willing to live under normal conditions with this risk.
Far greater risk for driving when is government ban for that arriving.

yes it does
NO IT DOESN'T, the vaccinations greatly reduce the possibility of death or hospitalisation, you can still be infected and can still infect others.
Just wondering Mr Smedly if you have thought about being a Thai politician you appear to have the required level of understanding.

Why do people get themselves worried about hearsay, the Pfizer jab was by appointment only and was limited, my belief is that the reason for it being limited is that they set aside 2 vaccinations per person so the 2nd jab is there ready and waiting, yesterday Festival was open for walk in but only 1st jab is sinovac second jab offered yesterday is Az.
Would like to add this information is not hearsay I have seen my friends documents from having it yesterday, also I had my 1st Pfizer last Thursday in Festival and was told about the 2nd jab.
I know TIT but hopefully I was told the truth, the reason that it was only foreigners by appointment is because most foreign countries do not recognise sinovac which could lead to problems for foreigners if leaving Thailand.

Thanyaburi district court was preparing documents that would see Raviprakash deported from Thailand. What serving no time for murder ? Looking after quality tourists apparently
It amazes me to what extent people cannot read what is put in front of them, the actual statement was, "at the time of the murder the court was preparing documents " when read correctly there is nothing about him not facing a murder charge. ????

I'm not sure if the opening to move on was, and is, so important to real tourists - but it certainly is for expats that use the sandbox a more pleasant quarantine - I recall the panic when domestic travelling suddenltly became limited, and demand for special minibusses up north. I know lors of Phuket tourists, many coming back year after year, and they never been up to Bangkok, nor had the interest to head up there.
What's important to real tourists is however to enjoy the holiday, which for Europeans - and probably most Westerners - often is similar to a little better life-style than everyday at home; i.e. enjoy a nice dinner with a glass of wine or a beer, a drink in the afternoon and eventual in the evening after dinner - now they don't need to think about who is going to drive home, and therefore shall not enjoy a drink - and some level of excitement that can be tours in the area and entertainment at night, not necessary beer bars, but for example a cabaret show - that's not what you find in everyday's Europe - or "amazing" classic Thai dance and music, or anything else that is different from European culture and cannot be found at home...????
That describes most people's idea of a holiday perfectly, now take away the restaurant, bars, alcohol in general, tours and entertainment and what are you left with, nothing but a bloody expensive trip to the beach.

Check with the Amphur in her home town as to what is required when she arrives there. Local Pu Yai baan is the alternative.
As for getting there, Taxi or some kind of private transport is about all that is generally available in most areas.
160km or 2hrs approximately by Taxi.
My friends mother died last week she lives in Rayong her mother's funeral was in Kohn Kaen she was able to travel there but was told she could only stay overnight in a hotel do some family business the next morning and then return to Rayong or do 14 days quarantine at the hotel and she couldn't attend the funeral under any circumstances, bit harsh I thought but that's the rules.

Passbooks are just another level of Thai bureaucracy. Any other country use them? I don't know of any. I used to live in Bangkok and had my account at the main Bangkok Bank branch. Then I moved to Kalasin Province, but was unable to transfer my account to my local branch. When my book was full I asked at my local branch for a new book and they said, in all seriousness, that I had to travel from Kalasin to Bangkok to do it.
And when I was in Bangkok I went into a branch other than my own to renew my book, and got the default reaction of any bank staff anywhere - Cannot. It was late in the afternoon and I didn't have enough time to get to my branch and would have had to make a lengthy trip back into the city the next day, so I decided to argue about why. Of course, the assistant had no idea, so she called the manager out to see me. And he decided to be helpful and issued the new book. So they could do it if they wanted to.Very often in Thailand, you have to argue to achieve anything. Of course, it can have to opposite effect and they'll just look right through you and act as if you aren't there.
I have Bangkok bank account and can get passbook renewed at any branch even outside of province, just needed old passbook and passport no problem.

Expatvac...after registration now over 3 weeks gone, never a message or word...
Got this, to register in Pattaya...
Within 24 hours were confirmed in SMS and given the next day for 1st shot.
Had low hope, based on previous registrations sites, and bcos picked the Pfeizer+Pfeizer option...
But, there I was, within 2 days of registering got my first shot.
All thanks to a Thai friend for the link.
( Inside English, just this " next" button not).
Could wait for expatvac?
Or could be proactive.

Assuming the best case scenario:
We hit 30 millions by September 1st, leaving 70m to go.
7x4 = 28m for AZ
30m for Pfizer should be delivered in Q4
So if the government buy another 12m Sinovac, they could reach their target.
I really hope it goes perfectly because Thai people could sure use a break.
Well I am quite impressed after finding out about Bangkok Hospital Pattaya having online form to fill I did it Tuesday evening, just name, passport and mobile number, Wednesday received SMS message giving me appointment for Thursday morning at Festival mall, which is where I am off to later.
I have spoken to a friend who did it earlier this week he told me that it was a simple and well organised procedure which only took about 1 hour, so hopefully it will be the same for me.

It is easy to connect to the online site. You cannot use a VPN to do it the only restriction.
Here is the link. https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do
Scroll down to the bottom of terms and conditions and tick the box to acknowledge them to get to the next page.
The problem is not connecting to the site but the fact that the site chooses randomly whether it will allow your completed form to go through or if you get the famous "please report to local immigration office " in 3years using Rayong Immi I think my success rate would be about 6 in every 10 applications.

I just went to the site and entered my email address. It flagged it as an invalid email, even though I checked it very carefully and tried twice.
This was on my phone. I'll try on my laptop, but I don't expect different results.
It just never ends does it?
Anybody else have better experience or same issue?
Suggestions?
When I had this problem I had to put email address in manually do NOT use auto fill, it then accepted it.

What a load of tosh! Bla. bla, bla. Empty words. Crop burning has gone on unabated since time began and despite the banning of it continues to this day. Until laws are enforced to stop this practice and to punish factory owners and directors for allowing polluting emissions, nothing will change.
Also the smog produced from this annual event kills far more people than the great Covid crisis, so add the 2 together for the latest season should probably wipe Chang Mai off the map.

Do you not understand ???????
Being vaccinated does not protect you from catching or spreading Covid, it hopefully minimises the chances of you the vaccinated either being ill enough to be hospitalised or worse case scenario dying, so the person who is not vaccinated is the one who selfishly will fill the hospital or morgue.
