I went to Tesco at plutaluang today and noticed although not anything noticeably missing completely the shelves were far from full and this was only midday, whether they were expecting a delivery I cannot say.

1 hour ago, Spock said:Why was export over domestic use agreed to in the first place? The Australian manufacturer of AZ produces vaccine for Australia first and foremost. I would have thought Thailand would have the same arrangement, supplying its own people first then the region later. The vaccine rollout is more incompetent than I previously thought. Where did the government anticipate that there supplies were going to come from? No wonder the country is in such a hopeless situation.
Looking at the Australian situation with vaccination rates almost as poor as here in Thailand that hasn't worked well has it, just locked down 400000 in Canberra after finding 2 cases.

I have asked before...Does anyone attending these press briefings, I mean, journalists, actually question these claims or it's the traditional lack of critical thinking among thais?
Good job they revoked the FAKE news restrictions.

You do understand women lie?
I'm betting the (alleged/rumoured/unofficial) numbers are similar in your home country because all men are evil (especially after the relationship has ended).
Back to the OP, no evidence (as she was cremated), so no case to answer whether it happened or not. If true, you'd have thought the hospital that dealt with the dead body would have notices a few marks.
No evidence but seemingly a lot of witnesses, could be an expensive future for the perpetrator.

And in Australia the presence of two new cases prompts a shut down in Canberra and immediately MP's head for the airport to go home? 555
I just hope someone will eventually provide a single explanative word for the >>>> being distributed to the world.
I saw this news and thought how crazy is that 400,000 lockdown for 2 cases found Oz like Thailand has no coherent vaccination programme.

Greeted by water cannons probably not, more likely to be disinfectant so at least incomers are safer in the airport. ????????????

The informal sector of the Thai economy, comprising anyone who's not covered by formal work
arrangements, accounted for more than 64% of the total workforce. It includes street vendors and taxi-motorbike drivers, the self-employed and those operating in "grey areas" of the economy [e.g. prostitution]. They are largely counted as employed.
If, for instance, you lose your job as a bank teller and return home and lend a hand at your dad's farm for at least one hour a week, you are considered as employed.
The official unemployment figures do not really reflect the situation.
The reality of it is that they don't have a clue you could pick any number, all massage parlours are closed, one close to me "employs" at least 7 girls none of them are on contract so in the eyes of Thailand they don't exist. ????????

Agree with you completely loneliness is a state of mind I am happy in company of others equally I am happy in my own company I have been here 3 years now 30 months of which I was with a partner but after living alone previously I am by my choice on my own again here in Thailand, and very happy to be so, I don't get lonely in my own company, things could certainly be better than the current situation, but its what it is at the moment, I ain't crying about it.

Is the fact that petrol prices are rising in the UK the fault of the baht, also? Petrol prices are rising worldwide. This has nothing to do with the baht per se. As for food prices rising faster than the baht is falling, you have some evidence to support that? And cherry-picking certain food items is no way to go about it.
The petrol prices are in Thailand which is the country for the Bhatt I suggest that you read my post a little more carefully not once did I mention UK petrol prices and I am not cherry picking on the prices in Makro I regularly shop there and prices in ALL departments are rising.

Wow what a condescending comment obviously you don't have a lot of experience of Thai websites just because you were lucky enough to get success doesn't mean that it works for others I am an experienced website user I tried this site and it rejected 2 different email addresses both of which I have used thousands of times.
Thailand hub of dreadful websites.
Update managed to access site today not the hardest of sites to use but that was fun trying to sort out DOB but got there in the end, typical Thai government site for foreigners half in Thai.

Finding it hard to think of a good reason as to why this is not a bad thing
Why is it a good thing?? prices are rising faster than the Bhatt is falling E20 petrol this time last year Bt17 now Bt29 per litre, Makro many foodstuffs are rising weekly so the few extra Bhatt per £ or $ are very quickly disappearing in rising prices. ☹☹

Ditto on the software, but it didn't, got the contact your local office message.
I have renewed my extension of stay since my last office 90 day report, that may be the problem.
A friend was once informed in the local office that they don't like the on-line reporting and want everybody to attend the office in person.
Well that doesn't make any sense because anybody can do your 90 days as long as they have completed form and your passport.

Filling in the details, finding my country, selecting my (long ago) birth date and uploading 2 graphic files took maybe 3 minutes tops. Since a total of 28,788 expats had registered since 6pm on Monday (Aug 2), maybe you should dwell on YOUR inabilities a bit more?

Im going to see if its Pfizer or not, not Pfizer then I will avoid it and pay privately later when its available. Registration is easy enough apart from the non alphabetical list of countries when it comes to UK and Merica etc and inability to load files separately...........guess they got their best web designer onto building the site.
I have tried to register couldn't get past first hurdle, tried 2 different email addresses both come back as not valid, typical Thai government site.

I suppose you should not have to worry much about Bangkok Covies, based on my observation.
Beach road in Jomtien was fairly empty when I left there for BKK at 5pm Saturday.Normally on a holiday weekend it would be packed. So where were they?
And there was very little traffic heading from Bangkok on the motorway.
There was clearly more traffic going towards Bangkok.
Traffic heading for BKK is those of us told by the hospitals here to go to BKK for vaccine ????????

Upon visiting Ban Chang hospital to enquire about a Covid jab I was advised "Falang go to Bangkok" when I pointed out that Bangkok was a covid infestation waiting to spread and the idea of standing for hours surrounded by many possibly infected throngs, I was met with a baleful stare and a shrug of the shoulders, suffice to say I still await my vaccination. Those pictures tell me that I made the correct decision.
