Went for my renewal of my retirement extension at Chonburi immigration in Pattaya. Though the line to get a number was way out the door, my number at counter 8 had only 3 people ahead of me. The agent was very organized and easy to deal with. He said, he would ask for what documents he wanted in the order he wanted them.
He asked for the following
TM7 with passport then asked for TM7 to be signed. I gave him copy of each passport page. He only wanted three pages, copy of passport information, copy of Non-O Visa and copy of original extension.
Banking statement and letter showing 65,000 THB per month, despite Bangkok bank book showing some transfers as combined and not foreign, he did not care. He asked for proof of fund transfer. I gave him 12, he said only need proof of one.
Wanted proof of residence so copy of fiance house book along with a map
He had me sign each of those. I brought scanned copies that were printed. He said those were not acceptable but he reached over the counter took the passport and house book and made the copies he wanted.
No copy made of TM6, or of last 90 day check in.
In and out in less than 30 minutes, pick up passport tomorrow.

I am not proud of some of the USA activities around the world. However, the post ignores the humanitarian aid, and disaster relief that the USA does. Name one major country, the UK, Russia, France, Italy, Spain China, Japan etc that does not have actions in its past that were less than admirable. One thing is for sure, if evil such as Nazi Germany ever again reels its head, the world will immediately look the the USA to defend them.

Warren obviously doesn't like him. She rejected his offer of a peace pipe.
Maybe he should have offered her a Tomahawk and said let bury the axe.
I don't like either of them, but pretty funny of Sanders to offer her a peace pipe given her history of claiming to be a native american indian.

Yes bristolboy, I am sure your resume of accomplishments vastly surpass his.
Runs over 500 companies, has over 20,000 employees, revenue of $650 million annually.
Has guided the U.S. to the best economy in 50 years. Record setting unemployment including the LOWEST unemployment for Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and Women in History.
Now go ahead and list how the accomplishments your cranium has produced other than anti trump bias.- 1

if not updating your book every month those 2 transfers can be divided into 3 transfers, and the bank code at Bangkok Bank for each of those transfers will be CMB = "Combined No-Book Transaction". On top of that, in the bank book those CMB transactions won't show the correct date.
Max69xi you are exactly correct. Mine show as one transaction with code CMB. Now immigration should be able to tie the CMB to the bank statements but who knows if they will take the time to do that. It would seem to me. I have my U.S. bank statement showing the amount deducted from Transferwise, the Transferwise detail showing each deposit converted from USD to THB to Bangkok bank, and then each deposit in THB that matches the Transferwise. The thing that will not match will be the savings book.

You can get a bank statements that will show everything. On my Bangkok bank statement ii shows Foreign T/T.

Yes I ordered it. However I hope that immigration does not give me grief about my passbook entries not being an exact duplicate of the monthly statement. I do have my Transferwise details which very clearly will match the bank statement. -

Tug, The meme for you should be no matter how convincing the facts are, never let them interfere were your pre-conceived bias. Baar was not even in office when Comey went to the FISA court and attested to all of the information to receive the surveillance warrants being true. Comey and the FBI knew the dossier was paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton yet deliberately withheld that from the court. The FBI had already fired the author of the dossier Christopher Steele for misconduct. The FBI went so far to build a case against Trump they sent a sexy blond agent to meet with Trump aid George Papadopoulous.

If your transfers show they came from abroad with the FTT code to Bangkok Bank you don't need the credit advices.
Ubonjoe,
I found out that if you don't update your passbook "frequently" I use my passbook account only infrequently that Bangkok bank lumps multiple transactions together and posts the "net" amount. So if you had three monthly transfers and a couple of withdrawals only one entry in the passbook for the net. -

Happy to see reporting here is just like USA. Day 1. Tourism hits record number Day 2. Hotels in Thailand down 40%. Day 3 Officials greet the record breaking tourist at airport Day 4. Strong THB and smog curb tourism around Thailand. etc.

TGW while I agree with you in truth the punishment of being in a Thai prison for many years is probably more harsh than a quick death. In the USA I can tell you they shy away from the death penalty in part because it is far more expensive to fight the never ending appeals on a death case versus the cost of housing someone in prison for the rest of their life.

You came to the forum for advice, but seem more interested in arguing and pretending you have a clue. From the things you've said, you clearly are confused.
Suradit69 Seems to me, you are the one who is trolling for an argument. I provided from Thai government web sites the use of the term "Retirement Visa" If you go to the Agency web sites, they too refer to the one year extension as a Retirement Visa. So yes there is some confusion about using multiple terms to describe the same thing.

The ultimate answer to most of our power consumption may be nuclear fusion
Nigel Garvie, You are correct. Unlike power plants that can be turned on or off the "green energy" has a transfer problem. When the wind blows or the sun shines unless that power is immediately consumed it has to be stored. Batteries are costly, dirty, and inefficient. Using pumps to drive water to towers to fall on generators has been used but hardly an ideal option. The action of waves sounds good but where are you going to put those transmission lines and transformers?

BritManToo,
You are correct. You have world leaders listening to a 16 now 17 year old teenager with ZERO scientific credentials. I wouldn't listen to a 17 year old on what channel to watch on TV lest follow one to spend trillions to transform the world based on "questionable" data. One thing I am sure of is that many people and companies pushing global warming have a financial interest in either wind, solar, or hydro electric power. Contrast her notoriety with that given to John Coleman a meteorologist and founder of the weather channel who rightfully called out the manipulated data. Anyone who can search the internet can determine for billions of years the earth has gone through glacial periods followed by interglacial warming periods. The earths orbit around the sun is not exact and over years, it moves closer to the sun and warms and away from the sun and cools. Also the rotation of the earth is not exact. It is like a top and it wobbles. When it wobbles more the poles move closer to the sun. Additionally, volcanoes which include under sea volcanoes spew 200 million tons of CO2 compared to an estimated 24 million metric tons by all human activity. So unless you can stop volcanoes, a reduction of 50% of all human CO2 will have minimal impact

21 hours ago, Tanoshi said:Maybe you should have searched for documents required for extensions based on retirement.
Tonoshi,
Thank you for the information. I have been in Thailand for over one year and you are the first one who identified the 1 year extension as an extension rather than a visa. Even the Thailand immigration web sites will at times refer to the 1 year extension as a visa. Following your checklist, I googled retirement extensions and attached is the one from Chonburi. Notice even it says the extension is commonly called the retirement visa. In any event, you have been most helpful and I thank you a great deal. If the immigration bureau was as thorough as your checklist, there would be fewer posts about the requirements from us retirees.

i would like to switch from OA to O as well. On am already on my existing OA extension and do it is due to expire in May. My question is that I have the seasoned 800,000 already but I used TransferWise so I can not prove the it came from out of country. What you recommend I do in that case?
Regularguy
If you go to your Transferwise account, and click on each transfer, there will be a link to "details" The details show its conversion from your currency to THB, the bank in Thailand it was sent to, and your Thai account number. You can print each one off.

Your Non O Visa expired a long time ago.
Maybe you should have searched for documents required for extensions based on retirement.
Which part of my original post stating that the list is not on the Thai immigration web site, and there is not a complete listing on any site did you have trouble comprehending?

Capitalism is ok , ( it needs to be realized that unlimited capitalism leads to destruction ) , but should be limited ( capped ) . No billionaires needed . Companies who make billions of profit should be forced to reinvest their profit for the sake of all people , that means ' save the planet ' as well . The " financial markets " who dictate that eternal growth is the only way to go are the one big factor when it comes to destruction .
nobodysfriend, No billionaires put a gun to peoples heads and said give me your money. People become wealthy because they provide something that others "value" and they are willing to pay for it. Most of the billionaires in the USA are first generation. China ( a communist country) is creating 2 new billionaires every week. What you liberals forget is that these wealthy people provide value to society far more than those without wealthy. Look at Bill Gates, HE WAS UNDERPAID. If you count the productivity given the world by Microsoft and windows he was paid a pittance. Jeff Bezos is the wealthiest man in the world. First generation wealth. Microsoft employs 175,000 people and Amazon employs 750,000 people. If you have a lottery where the top prize is only $1 million you sell few tickets. If you have a lottery where the top prize is $1 billion dollars you will sell many. YOU WANT AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE STRIVING TO BECOME BILLIONAIRES. Those are the people who invent things, make society in general richer, and employ people. Lastly, they really don't get to keep the money. At their death, they either need to give the majority of it to charity, or the government will take at least 50% of it in inheritance taxes.

My retirement visa Non-O expires in February. I am getting the stack of paperwork ready to go to the immigration bureau in Pattaya. Though I have searched through numerous sites, there are differences between them and none of them state the number of copies required. Can someone please list the required documents and how many copies. Also, last time, my fiance had to prepare and sign a guarantee letter, her house book, and I had to draw a map of where we were living. Can that be a google map, or I have read one person had to have a hand drawn map. Lastly, exactly what does the bank letter have to state.

Khunbenq,
No you can tell when someone puts a page in a copier it outlines the entire flatbed. With a scan only the document being scanned is outlined and often the edges are not perfect. I don't know what difference it makes since both are representations of the documentation but they must think that perhaps a scan can be altered?
