Thailand moves to ban recreational cannabis use, 18 months after historic decriminalization
I saw a video clip on the news of a guy standing on the back step of a songthaew,, with his genitals clearly exposed, as he unloaded a good few bottles of chang, on to the pristine tarmac of beach road.! probably considered quite acceptable behaviour by those on here crying about a bit of weed. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of them, Ai least it wasn't "drugs" though eh?

House police affairs panel to visit Police Hospital this Friday
He probably wouldn't even bother, there are plenty of people who will make an excuse for him, No nation of people have perfected the art of grovelling to the degree that the Thais have. If he is in fact there those that go to check on him will approach him on their knees. The same could be said for any of these journalists who appear to criticise him, they are nothing more than keyboard warriors, who would fight amongst themselves for the privilege of administering annilingus if he asked them

Inconsiderate neighbour spraying pesticide using generator.
That's not quite how things work in Thailand. Unlike in the west, the legality of something like this is nothing to do with what's written in a statute book . In Thailand, the legality of such actions is a very subjective concept, it is totally dependant on the status of who is causing the disturbance and the status of who is complaining, and any relationship either party may have with the police, should things descend to that level, As the guy only does his spraying every 3 months and has now agreed to pre warn you I personally don't see your problem. "Graeng Jai" is also based on status, As a foreigner your place in the pecking order has been pre established for you, so if you are expecting any of that to come your way automatically you will be disappointed. Best not to rock the boat, or get involved, leave it to the Mrs

Chinese tourists search for new experiences in Thailand
So now they will be arriving in smaller groups and running around by themselves completely unsupervised ? Who on earth has allowed this? Still what do I care there interest in authentic experiences is unlikely to tempt them beyond the usual tourist ghettos, They certainly won't be coming to Surin any time soon

Prince Andrew 'spent weeks' at Epstein home - witness
Well i would imagine that would be least of Andrews worries

Prince Andrew 'spent weeks' at Epstein home - witness
Ok I'll accept what you are saying as I'm sure you have researched the matter, But surely,if arrested, and therefore cautioned in the UK. the caution you are obliged to receive should mention that specifically, It not really fair for them to tell you that you have the right to remain silent, if there are specific circumstances where exercising that right would automatically render you liable to prosecution. It only states that "it may harm your defence....."

in court , not when questioned by the police "you have the right to remain silent" etc etc

I rather suspect that it will, and for all the others involved,

The worst thing anybody can do is to say anything at all to the police, one has a right to remain silent, its the first thing they tell you, and they only tell you that because they are obliged to, Ignore it at your own risk. You cannot be charged with perjury or perverting the course of justice for remaining silent.

I have a strong suspicion that silence will now prevail concerning Epsteins death.

Absolutely correct, is there actually a single person on this planet that believes it was suicide? If there is, I bet they are active on this thread

The libel laws may well have protected Saville, but the BBC could have done a lot more to rein him in, they could have shut down "jim'll fix it " and used any other excuse

I wasn't really trying to link his crimes to the royals, but I was suggesting that maybe his royal connections were not a disadvantage at the time he was active

The media coverage doesn't help, many people believe what they read in the papers,or online, especially when it suits them. The anonymity which is afforded the victims, is not granted to the accused which inevitably sways peoples opinions, as they really only hear one side of the story, Once people have made up their minds they are generally reluctant to change their opinion. Sir cliff and Kevin Spacey have been fortunate to have been able to clear their names, but there will always be a lot of people who secretly consider them to have "got away with it" How many would be genuinely comfortable employing them as a child minder. On the other hand and somewhat bizarrely Jimmy Saville suffered little damage to his reputation prior to his death, despite numerous allegations being made, why was it that he was able to garner such support , his "charity work" or his connections, which included members of the royal family

Generally I would agree with that , but pedo accusations in particular carry a special stigma , "no smoke without fire" and all that, It would be impossible to remain untarnished to a certain degree, (although Sir Cliff didn't do too badly) The mistake Andrew made was leaving it too late and not keeping it private

American wanted for sharing explicit videos and abusing Thai women
what on earth are you going on about?
-
Prince Andrew 'spent weeks' at Epstein home - witness
I didn't say it was nationwide I did say it was not an isolated case, there are plenty of others, I'm actually not far right , and in this matter at least I'm not far wrong, even though I wish I was. Got stuff to do and people to see now, goodnight

I can't stand him either or Ricky Gervais, for that matter , and I am certainly not trying to be a victim. Although I think it was Sheffield council who banned Chubby Brown from performing in the city due to his subject matter, depriving many who wanted to see him from doing so. Again I don't find him particularly funny and I don't live in Sheffield. I just hate this woke cancel culture and all it stands for

its not my need , the third woke musketeer on this thread raised the issue, comparing Andrews activities to those of Muslim rape gangs in the UK and suggested he should be treated in a similar manner or rather with similar "vigour" by the police I merely highlighted his ignorance by providing details of the actual vigour, or rather the lack of it, considered appropriate by the police at the time. Not my fault if you are uncomfortable with the issues raised . Neither is it unexpected that you would seek to end that discussion. Anyway I've had enough of this I'm going out now

Duh ! of course I don't know exactly what went on , I wasn't there , same with you in regards to Andrew, In fact I learnt more about it in the last 30 minutes finding a few links than I ever knew before.
