  1. I was a jeweller for years and made upwards of a million  silver rings here. The European method  dominates. Which is mm measurements 52- 58 being the most popular women's sizes.

Wrong info. The amnesty for 90 day reporting is for everybody that needs to do them.

Very interesting  that  Bangkok immigration don't seem to think so. Not a single person was told they did not have to be there to sign in.

Good specs and you have bluetooth and Ethernet 10/100.

Does it run hot? I seem to remember someone in another topic forecasting that this particular box would overheat and crash so it would be interesting to get first hand feedback.

How has performance been so far?

    What apps are pre-loaded?

Have you tried all of them yet?

Have you connected to your Google Play Store?

Have you used the Play Store to update the apps on your box?

Have you tried playing media files from an external USB drive/stick yet?

    What resolution? 720p/1080p/4K?

What about sound? Do you playback (via HDMI) to the TV speakers or do you have an AV receiver with external speakers?

    and...

Have you replaced that useless remote control yet with something better?

    Mine never crash from overheating.

Do everything I need but I only use for tv

Well, for dummies that is me.

I do not understand all the issues involving this.

    So:

    Go to Tech mall.

Buy preloaded android box.  Has everything loaded Kodi, Mobdro, Live Net, Swift, etc, etc.

Connect router to your box, then connect box to TV.

Access TV, movies, live sports anything you want.

It all seems so simple from my experience.

Buy from lazada. Better choice ????

Look for smart youtube tv on the net. The official youtube app has always had issues on android tv boxes.

    For the original poster

a worthwhile post, even if O/T. this is the wrong forum for me. . Is there one for addressing issues with a smart tv with android.(examples: (i) error message 'not connected to internet' and (ii)  it will not open all the movie folders in my 1tb hd) ?

TV systems are generally linux. Your hdd may be the wrong format: needs to be fat32 apparently. Search how to read windows/apple hdd on a tv

That's interesting but I wouldn't know exactly how to set that up technically.

Plug a lan cable into the back of your modem. Run the cable to a netgear 4 port hub.  Run a lan cable from your hub to your tv, android box, and computer. The hub is automatic. You are now live. Run a hdmi cable from your android box and computer into the back of your smart tv.  Click source and  re name each port.. youtube and my tuner on the tv. Whatever through the com, and also your android box  . On my box I have livenet tv, mobdro,  megabox HD, mytuner( worldwide radio), potato streams, swift streamz. I also have a thai paid service. PM me for details. All except mytuner you have to search for as they are not on google play and download the latest .api file then open app installer and install. I would delete all references to kodi as it is rubbish nowadays.

  8. I made a housewide ethernet for my magicsee n5 boxes. I have 4. Mini keypads are a must as the remotes are rubbish. I connect via a 4 port hub. So internet in , computer, tv and   android box in  out all then individually connected  to the smart tv via hdmi. Only changing the source as required. This is repeated downstairs. Where I just want the tv and nothing else I just use the inbuilt wifi.

I bet they'd rather work for the OP.

After being there for around 12 years and able to work absolutely anywhere else in their chosen field I doubt it.

Don't forget I'm only an observer in this. what I stated seems to be standard in the small business beauty and or retail sector. Nobody closes for public holidays because that's when they make money.

  10. They are taking the michael. Small businesses generally do not even pay social let alone give government holidays.

Suggest they get another job as there are plenty of people needing work. My mrs has a couple of staff who get zilch. They get paid very well but work 70 hours and 6 days a week. They only get songkran off paid. If they want a holiday they are free to take unpaid leave with notice. By the same token they were paid in full for the two months the shop was closed.
