Under 600 baht hotel is well below my idea of good. Sounds like a flea pit. Nothing under 3000 baht a night for me up country. 7000 baht in a city. I like a good hotel and breakfast that us recognisable as food.

After my first visit to Thailand many years ago, I installed one back in Oz. Straight connection to the water line which is fed from a bore pump to the toilet. The pump can easily achieve 60 psi as I found out after first time use. Very good for removal of haemorrhoids and and other body tissues. Fitted a pressure reduction valve shortly afterwards. Eyes have since returned to normal vision. Took a while though.

I can see a problem at the initial flight check in. If their departure date is after their visa exempt stay, including the extension, they might have an issue. Check-in staff dont necessarily know about permission to stay extensions. Or even if it will be granted. Been there done that. I know there will be comments about stepping away and booking a fake flight.....ever tried that at a busy airport? See how that goes with 50 people lined up behind you all wanting to check-in after queueing for 30 minutes. Best thing I have I found is to book a genuine ongoing flight for the lowest possible price and simply don't go on the flight....throw away flight as it were. Might cost a hundred bucks but alleviates a lot of hassles. Done it a few times when I planned to go Savannkhet to get a multi non o based on marriage without 400k in a Thai bank. Those days are long gone unfortunately.

I think the issue is keeping all kids on to the twelfth grade when they simply don't have the abilities required. Much better for them to leave school in grade ten and pursue something really useful and much needed like a trade. Don't need a degree for carpentry and brick laying. The thinking that everyone needs a grade 12 education and go on to university is flawed. Like the old joke....what does an arts graduate say ....would you like fries with that.

Is it possible that lifestyle is more of a factor than vaccines. A fat kid was a rarity when I was growing up. Look at videos of the Woodstock concert, not too many fatties there. Now it has become normal to the extent we now have the term fat shaming. Plus size models....ha ha. MacDonald's and KFC have a lot to answer for. My mum actually used to cook. Not heat up pre prepared food in a microwave. Add in the various herbicides and insecticides that are now being used that weren't around in the 50's and 60's and it could be quite a cocktail of factors that is affecting the population.
