  2. Sure sounds like there is much more to this story.

I have been here 14 yrs and just mind my business and try to never expose myself to anything that could go wrong and land me on the wrong side of the law here.

I used to go visit the only American inmate in Chiang Mai Prison, he was serving 6 yrs for a Marijuana charge and he was released in Oct 2018.

45 guys sleeping head to foot in a 10 meter X 10 meter cell with 2 ceiling fans, sleeping on concrete floor.

I wanted to get him a roll up pad to sleep on but its not allowed.

He said he was treated well, no one ever bothered him, not another inmate or guard.

With 5 degenerated discs and my moderate arthritis.....after just one night sleeping on a concrete floor, I would be in a wheelchair.

  3. I was never without a motorcycle for 47 yrs, mostly a Harley.........14 of those years were here in Thailand.

Many close calls here but always thought my careful riding and experience would keep me safe.

Last Oct 26, 2018 a 59 yo Thai lady NEVER looked, just pulled in front of me when I was 5 meters away..........smashed my right shoulder to little pieces requiring 2 surgeries, 9 days in the hospital and the whole right side of my body turned black.

After that, I fixed my bike, gave to a close friend and hung up my helmet.....for good.

If you are riding here........be extra vigilant.

Average of 66 people a day die in vehicle accidents here every day, 84% of those were on a motorcycle.

    BE SAFE~!!!

  4. They should give this punk 30 yrs in prison.

6 little punks on 3 motorbikes chased my wife and I down on Soi 27 near C C Roadhouse off Siam Country Club Road at 7 pm and tried robbing us, I hit the gas n got to my friends house, now they are facing 5 guys.......as I walked toward them to rip their head off 2 pulled out pistols, I was only 10 meters away.....if he pulled the trigger, I doubt he would have missed me.

when they heard police were coming, they go back on their bikes and took off.

There is definitely a gang on Siam Country Club Road that hang in front of the big fresh market.

Be careful on Siam Country Club Road

  5. I never faulted or disrespected a Bargirl.

If you asked them and they were honest.......do you enjoy working in the bar?

A very high percentage would be saying NO.

They are just trying to better themselves, nothing at all wrong with that.

    They have 3 choices:

1.) Get a very low paying job in factory or elsewhere

2.) Stay at home and work in the rice field for free with Mom n Dad

    3. Go to Pattaya and work the Bars and troll for Farangs.

She sees her Sister or Auntie come back to Issarn with money, nice clothes, jewelry, nice shoes, nice purse.........Wow.......how can I do that?

Just come back with me and I will show you.

If you have been here any length of time, by various means you have heard the stories, or it has happened to you, or a friend that 99% of Bar love.....ends in some version of disaster.

I should post this as a Thread:

How many of you fell in love with the first Bargirl u had sex with and thought, this is AMAZING.......and sitting in the Bar thinking......I m coming back here, open a Bar and have all these Girls around me all day n night.......it can’t get no better than this?

    I DID~!!

I was a MadMan my first month, most days doing 3  day.

Fortunately for me, by the end of that month, I was pretty well bored with it.

Now been married to the same lady close to my age for 12 yrs and never been in any of the scams or paid a monthly rent.

My best wishes to all of you.

Your question seems to beg, "How can I engage into a business relationship masquarading as love; devoid of the reality that I am but one of thousands who have come, depleated their resources and left as a broken and pathetic shell of a man?".

I've been visiting since 1993 and retired here since 2013. I've seen a fair bit and done many unwise things, all costly and heart breaking. I have learned to enjoy my own company and that of other sober souls. There are opportunities to release physical tension via horizontal entertainment, but caution and moderation are my companions.

Read, research and confer; but not with drunks in barrooms. Their comments may be tainted and distorted by alcohol and mental health issues. Good luck.

    Yup......well said.

I'm 75 and my wife is 45.  No problems.  You are wrong.  I think more jealousy than reason speaking.  I've always had a trophy wife and others have always been jealous.  This is my 4th one and I've learned how to handle them.

If it is your FOURTH......one, I am not wrong.

You more than prove my point.

By one bedroom I assume you mean one room studios. One bedrooms are plenty big for one or two people.

I wouldn’t call 37-40 sq meters PLENTY BIG.......but it can be ample.

My wife and I lived in one of my 37 sq/M one bedroom, not Studio at Park Lane.

You have to be a good “stacker”.

You need a real fridge to live long term, not that small under counter one that comes with condo and turns to a block of ice.

Sooo you have Fridge, Microwave on top of fridge and Toaster Oven stacked on top of Microwave.

If you are going to have 2 people long term in 37 sq/M ya better really like that other person.

    Now in 180 sq/M House..........mmmmm that’s living~!!!

  9. First of all.....its not a Tuk Tuk.

Its a Song Taew or Bhat Bus.

Tuk Tuks dont have roll up windows.

Are u really that tight that u need to get worked up over 10 BHAT........and worked up enough to post here about it.

If 10 bhat is that big a deal........next time get correct change before getting on.

myself.......I always flip em 20 anyway. They have bills too.   They have a family to feed.  Driv8ng in Pattaya traffic all day?  I cant think of a more horrid way to try to make a living.
