The washing machine in my rented condo needs replacement and the owner asked me to buy a new one, up to 20,000 baht and deduct it from my rent. I was happy with my old one, which was a Siemens front loader with temperature settings up to 90 degrees. Any suggestions for a new one? The Siemens is no longer available and the few other Siemens models I see online are quite expensive. I would be happy to spend closer to 10,000 baht to keep the owner happy. She has been good about everything over the years. Thanks.

Anyone have a recommendation for a physical therapist for shoulder issues? I need some fairly specific and experienced guidance on stretches and exercises for recovering from "frozen shoulder". I have heard great things about Ajarn Noi at Chiang Moi Physiotherapy and planned on seeing her on this trip, but she is taking a break for now. Thanks.

I am resurrecting this ancient thread because I happened upon an elephant brand leather wallet of the sort I used to buy years ago. There is a vendor at the Sunday market in Chiang Mai selling them. I paid 200 baht each without much bargaining. After ten years I'm back in the faux elephant skin wallet game!

They have cleverly designed the system so that when the online submission is rejected it's too late to mail it in. And they only return my photocopies every 3rd or 4th time. Frankly, I am starting to think they just don't care about my minor inconveniences.

I can't get the housebook as I live in a rented condo. The work permit book is good for motorcycle registration also and I occasionally buy and sell them.

All pages on my old work permit book are stamped so I was told I need a new work permit next renewal in Bangkok. I like having the book with my address in it as it substituted for the residency certificate whenever needed. Is the only option for the new work permit the kind without an address? Or can I request a book with address? Thanks.

I don't know. It's a fairly normal service offered by some key shops and locksmiths. I just don't know where in Chiang Mai to have it done.

Anyone know where I can get a key card copied? The juristic office wants 500 baht for an extra card. I have had copies made in Bangkok for a different condo for 150 baht. However, the key card I want to copy in Chiang Mai opens both the common area doors and the condo room door, so maybe it's more complicated then a key card that only opens the common area doors.

Can you tell me if your Lazada one has a brand name on it? Thanks. The one I bought says Health Herald on it. That is the brand that many vendors are selling from 100-500 baht. I wonder if they all come from the same manufacturer or are just copies of copies of copies... It actually works but only on one setting. Most of the buttons don't do anything or do the wrong thing. I can see that it would be good if it was not defective. ???? I ordered another one from a different vender just out of curiosity.

Well, I ordered a Chinese TENS machine off Lazada for about 200 baht. Seems unlikely that it will be effective but it is the one being sold by many vendors and actually has good reviews. Seems worth a shot compared to the 2600 baht for the Omron device. The 300 baht Chinese blood pressure monitor I bought a few years ago still works and is just as accurate as one that cost five times as much so that gives me a little hope.

Any recommendations for a TENS machine, I saw a couple on Amazon for around $25 that are really well reviewed. Looking at Lazada though I can't really figure out which ones are legitimate and which aren't. It's for shoulder pain. Thanks
