Waste of time contacting immigration as your best bet is to get in touch with an immigration lawyer in Thailand if you want answers as many of them have contacts in immigration. Just don't be a fool thinking you can enter with a new passport as all your history is in the computer.

I never provide my real number to get an insurance quote as any insurance company will provide it to you by email. Insurance brokers are nothing but pests as they will keep calling harassing you and sell your info to other insurance companies.

21 years in Thailand for me. Came here on holiday at the age of 23, ripped up my return ticket and never left.

Their not that friendly when a local steals your phone as petty crime is rife in Cambodia, especially Phnom Phen. Much worse then Bangkok. 

Question: If it takes 3 days to process and approve your arrival card, what happens to in and out boarder trips for some people?.

I'm a bit confused. Aren't visa agents money fixers as last time I used one was 6 years ago and all they did was transfer the 400K into my account and bypassing the 2 month seasoning requirement for a Non O based om marriage extension. Since when do they need to open a dummy account or is this strictly for retirement extensions? 

I would at least hear what they wanted as living in Thailand for 22 years, the only time immigration has called me is when my extension of stay is approved. They never just like Thai police call random foreigners for no reason so, yes it's likely a scam. 

If I was this guy, I wouldn't show my face on national TV out of embarrassment.

If the OP felt like he was threatened and has PTSD, then why not go down to the police station to file a complaint as there is clearly CCTV outside Tops pointing at the street that likely captured the whole ordeal. Even if the cops won't do much, at least it will capture attention by local Pattaya news outlets and bring unwanted attention to the bar which those guards work at.
