Why go through all that headache when any translation service in Bangkok will go to the MFA and get the stamp on your behalf for a few hundred bhat. Corruption is like Covid OP, its never going away.

Yes,, but don't forget they already charge tourists 700B which is included in your flight ticket,, and if you think that it will stay at 300B, think again...
Still, if people whine and moan over an additional $10 or even $30 after spending thousands of dollars on flights and hotel's they should not even step foot out of their own house let alone on a plane.

What's the big deal as just about every country in Asia charges a foreigner to enter their country. Only difference is Thailand calls a entry fee where most call it visa on arrival just like Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam as last time I checked it was $30 USD + to enter those countries.

They tried changing Saigon to Ho Chi Min and the hole of Vietnam still call their capital Saigon as it doesn't matter what the new name is, its will still be known as Bangkok.

As I work nights and have a hard time sleeping in the days, I found out the closest sleeping pills to Lorazepam, Clonazepam and Zolpidem at walk in Pharmacies these days that you can get is Desirel (Trazadone) which is a sedative and at only 60 bht for 10 pills, I take 2 about half an hour before sleep and I'm out like a light.

My kids In Kalasin have only gone to school for about 1 week for the past year. I understand about the covid risk but depriving a childs education all because of an incompetent clueless local school board there not knowing how to handle the situation and think online classes in the only answer.

Anybody know if I can get a 60 day extension to visit my wife as I'm currently on a covid extension which will expire next month and I was on on a Non o extension of stay based on marriage before that which expired a year ago.

So Thailand gets slave labour from Burma and Camobodia, and Saudi Arabia in turn wants slave labour from Thailand.
Odd chain.
Considering what the average monthly salary for Thai laborer's is in Thailand, These Thais that go over to Saudi to work will be making a lot more then what they can make in Thailand.

For me it would be a pain in the ass to go to Immigration that many times.
With extension based on marriage you have to go 2 times and then you safe for 1 year. With covid Extension you had to go 6-12 times for 1 year.True, butt as I don't have the 400K in my bank, its cheaper to to a covid extension then pay an agent, plus my local immigration is very easy to deal with, very fast, they even fill the applications for me.

It all depends which immigration office your doing the covid extension as I just got my 4th consecutive covid extension on Monday at Kalasin immigration. No questions asked, I was in and and out in 10 minuets. I didn't even fill the applications, just sign, get photo, pay and stamp.
I entered Thailand on a Non o based on marriage and had a 1 year extension that expired last year and I been on covid extensions ever since as its much easier to do. I just needed copy of my passport, 1 photo, copy of my wife's ID and house papers.

obviously not from long term farangs that pay only 1900 bath a year for annual marriage extension or retirement
For us that use an agent for Marriage extensions, it works a lot cheaper to pay 1,900 bht every 60 days for a covid extension which works to 11,400 bht for the year then pay an agent 25k to arrange my marriage extension.
I just did my 4th consecutive 60 day covid extension at Kalasin immigration yesterday. No questions asked, in and out in 10 minuets. I didn't even fill the applications, just sign, picture, pay and stamp. Only needed, photo, passport copy, wife's ID and house papers. That's it. Feel sorry for you guys in Bangkok that are going through the ringer at that immigration office.

I saw a YouTube video of a falang in Phuket who tested positive for covid and was forced to go to a local Thai quarantine facility. The place looked like straight from a banged up abroad episode.

These venues might as well be closed down as their totally deserted as who in their right mind well go through all that and take a chance of an expensive hospital quarantine if test positive just for a cheap meal at a food court.

Lek Hotel was one of best breakfast buffets in Pattaya as you really couldn't go wrong at 150 bht. Plenty of choices. To bad their still closed.

I have 3 back to back Covid extensions at Kalasin immigration and each time 60 day stamps. No questions asked. It depends which office.

By the way things are looking, my guess January 16, 2023 is a realistic opening date.
