    When frequenting these establishment, don't run a tab. Pay as you go. Beer by beer. First go to a 7/11. Buy a bottle of water, to get change for a 1,000 baht.

    Honestly, I don't really care. Have been doing it for 16 years. I was just surprised to hear from some applicants that they didn't submit 2 sets. That's why I asked.

    I need some clarification: I have been on a Non O marriage visa since 2008. Every year two sets of documents and visa application forms are required by my local immigration office. Now it seems that not all immigration offices require 2 sets of documents. Is that true?

    When you work with a Non - O marriage visa, you are in control of your Visa. if your employment is terminated for whatever reason, your visa is safe. I changed a B-Visa to Non 0 marriage in 2008, without leaving the country.

    Why do you want to apply from outside Thailand? Which immigration office is nearest to your school?

    I know of a few retirees who get retirement visas with 200k in the bank. They were grandfathered in. So, if you received your retirement visa with 800k in the bank, it will remain 800k.

    There has to be a "under consideration" stamp in your passport. The waiting period is usually 1 month. Expect the home visit. Also, neighbors will be interviewed. After your approval, expect another home visit.

    Why do you have to pay anything coming from Malaysia?

    Go through Pedang and come back through Sadao. Round trip is 165 km. I've crossed both multiple times by car and motorcycle over the past 18 years.

    Why go there? From Hat Yai, Pedang Bezaar is your best option.
