  1. Cash never rules. It is just a cliche. Credit cards rule. Shall I post all the advantages of using a credit cards (not debit cards or scan)? Nobody could give me one advantage of using cash except for a dystopian future where government will track your spending.
  2. Bolt takes credit card I wanted to register my US cards (I have 100+ cards) and tried a few of them and were rejected (4 of them). Has somebody successfully registered their US credit cards for BOLT?
  3. I use cash rarely Always use cc, wherever possible, even in 7/11 if the purchase is more than 200 baht. The CC use provides several benefits like 100% fraud protection, c2-5% cash back, using OPM (other people's money) for at least 25-days (max 50-days) without any interests. Nobody can convince me to use cash where credit card is accepted.
  4. They're keeping a balance. They get weapons and oil using Indian currency at a discounted rate and as I said Western countries can do nothing because they need access to Indian market.
  5. So, prescription is just a ruse to introduce a nexus of corruption between private and public sectors.
  6. Hmm. Same as 100 baht medical certificate for a driving license. If a prescription is required to buy weed, there won't be any shortages of clinics for prescription.
  7. Be like India. Never give a damn to any Western Countries. They will come to you crawling because they need you to sell their products and for their need for human resources. But alas, the Western countries don't depend on minuscule Thailand's population and severe lack of highly technical resources unlike India.
  8. It's all over if you are travelling in Baht buses just like 7/11. Are you taking nap while on the baht buses ????
  9. Are the new bars opening up or it is just recycling? Some close and others open up.
  10. It is also shared by lots of people. They earn huge in agent fees but shared by lots of people according to their hierarchy in the pecking order. And why not? Those people also have hope, aspirations and desires for a better life. Why it will only be reserved for people with earnings in dollars? It is not their fault that they were born in Thailand without access to dollars.
  11. Crackdown hard on people who think it is their privilege to stay without proper documents because they love Thailand.
  12. If they sell visa, how can then people are overstaying. They have some kind of visa who they bought. So, they are not overstaying.
  13. I know a girl who owns a condo in Bangkok that she rented for 3K/month (she removed the A/C, and now it is a no A/C room). If interested, I can ask her.
  14. What scam? I don't see any scam going on.
  15. You're correct. Most people (80% using the 80/20 rule) in this forum cannot get this into their heads. For example, a 10-year multiple entry US visitor visa does not allow a person to stay in the US for ten years. How long he can stay will be determined by the IO for each entry. In most cases, IOs will give you 6-month to stay. The concept is same for Thailand's tourist visa also. Thailand tourist visa comes in Single entry or multiple entry. Single entry tourist visa comes with three month validity and multiple entry tourist visa comes with 6-month validity. Again, validity means you could present yourself at the border on or before that date. After that day, that visa is not good any more for presentation. Presentation does not mean entry. Entry is always determined by the IO in any country. OP's assertion that he has a triple entry tourist visa may be wrong. It must be an METV. However, not sure why he was not given visa exempt entry. Agan, as I said, entry is up to the IO even if there are other options available (in this case a visa exempt entry) . IO can deny entry for any reason. One can only appeal the IOs decision and nothing more could be done (except bribing in vast number of countries). In OPs case the IO suggested him to fly to an airport and face the IO in the airport of his entry. Entry to a foreign country is never guaranteed. But due to trade/commerce/tourism/etc. it's seldom denied and each country uses its own criteria to deny entry. For example, Thailand has an unpublished criteria like "staying in Thailand for too long on a tourist visa".
  16. When there is the contest between a heart and a pe**s, one has to give. Apparently the heart gave for the victorious glory that turned out to be fatal.
  17. Never done that except one time when I changed my address from Bangkok to Pattaya. I travel frequently in/out Thailand.
  18. Do you mean travellers who are scouting for their future brides hopping from bars to bars?
  19. That is the exact reason why Thailand puts all sorts of hurdles to people who flee their own country to take refuge in a foreign lands without paying tributes. If it were easy peasy, many government offices will be in flame because sensitive foreigners who could not find women in their own country will go berserk if their entitlement mentalities are not honored properly.
  20. Have you buried you heads on the sand? A pic of the passport info page and the valid Permission to stay date stamp page are all they require when they check. They don't ask for actual passports. I have experience with that.
  21. Why they won't? Don't they have aspirations and desires for fancy things in life? It is not their mistakes they were born in Thailand and don't have any means to earn dollars. In contrast, the people who were lucky to be able to earn dollars are miserable in their own lands and have ot flock to Thailand for their survival.
  22. That is a huge no, no for me. It binds me to some specific date every three months for which I need to plan in advance and if unable to do the border run due to any reasons, I may be staying beyond the permitted to stay date. For extension, the planning is once a year and also, there are some leniency in some offices about how far in advance you can apply. The best option is LTR visa.
  23. It all depends on individual circumstances. For some OA is perfect, for others in-country change from exempt (or STV) to O-A is perfect. There is no one size fits all.
  24. So, you tried to cheat them they wanted more proof. Som nam na.
