Not difficult if able to grease agents' hands. -
Credit Cards now may have close to 30% interests. In fact I never care to check it. All my credit cards are in full payment on auto pay, except the one that offers one year cash at 0% for a 3% fee (basically, at 3% for one year). I really don't care if I die in debts but for me it is now a remote possibility but I know friends who have accumulated 100K in credit card debts and then declared bankruptcy. In most states you will be able to save your primary residence, 401(k), IRA, and Social Security. Please consult a lawyer before declaring bankruptcy.

Pouting land seller

Hmm. In the USA it will be difficult to buy by offering cash. It will look like drug money and an attempt to launder money. It also needs authentication that the bills are genuine. And when you want to deposit the money in the bank, bank will inform the FBI and you may get a visit from the FBI. -

If I am not in need of cash, I would also sit for the prices to go up. I did not sell my Las Vegas home in 2019 and waited and collected an additional 100K USD in 2022 compared to the 2019 prices. -

I can bet never in my lifetime at least. It is a constant source of some decent incomes for people unfortunate to be born in Thailand and not have any access to earn in dollars. -

Kiwi locked up in Thailand with no clothes, food or water
CartagenaWarlock replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Thailand is ok for illegal drug because the country is corrupt and in most cases one can get out of the situation immediately when caught with small possession for personal use. Not sure why this person ended up where he is now. May be his attitude or not able to bribe the cops when caught due to lack of fund or sheer stupidness. -
Thailand’s experiment with weed goes up in smoke
CartagenaWarlock replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I read most shops are financed by foreign money. I believe it will be available but illegally with police harassment and bribing, thus driving up price. Legal thai bricks are available now for 300 baht/package (in 20 gram packages), and it used to be 1,000/baht for 20 gram packages when illegal. -

I completely agree with you. But wondering what would have been your reaction if the person was a Chinese or Indian, considering all the Chinese and Indian bashing in this forum? -
They want to keep foreigners under control as much as they could. Most posters in this forum have no clue why the IOs do what they do to create hassles during extensions. They will often say that IOs don't like foreigners. It is not that they don't like foreigners, but they want to keep foreigners under control. That is the exact same reason why they don't want to give extension for more than one year to the married people even. If you have money, you can apply for an LTR visa to avoid harassment during the extensions.

Tourists warned against taking ‘Happy Water’ drug in Thailand

Dangerous stuff. Be careful. -
That is BS. Farangs contribute for their survival. In return they get wives, a place to stay and in some cases even a family. Without this contribution they will be reduced to misery in their native lands, alone as no women from their own lands will entertain them and forget about even getting a family. So it is not a contribution, it the tribute they pay for the lives afforded to them in Thailand.
