For TP, you also need a covid insurance for 30-day and they usually are less than one thousand baht. -
Help please - Visa options
CartagenaWarlock replied to Oldterrier's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Make a trip to Cambodia and come back. Cambodia is open now. I don't understand why people lack skill to write a succinct head line for a topic. -
For business visa, you need to deposit the money in a Thai bank and hold on to it for at least six months and the visa is for only three months. After that you need an extension that must be based on some criteria, for example a job. It is good for people who maintain a balance in Thai bank and legitimately engaged in purchases in Thailand to sell in their own countries, like traders. They don't live in Thailand for extended period of time. Fake volunteer visas are also not cheap. If you can find genuine volunteer work, it may work. I don't have any idea how to find genuine volunteer work. Most people get fake volunteer work for volunteer visas. Some body can chime in.

It depends on when you want to come. Yes there is TP and other requirements as of now. If you are going to wait for a few months, the situation may change. Education visa for the two for 90-100K is not a bad options as of now. Otherwise, the only other options are visa runs if you are willing to explore neighboring countries also like vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, etc. With each tourist visa (90-day with extension), you will need at least three exits to cover one year. And it's not going to be cheap for two persons.

BCBS also has HSA account. And yes, I can get reimbursed for my HSA account also but it invovles paperwork and I often forget for 2000 baht. https://www.bcbsil.com/insurance-basics/how-health-insurance-works/what-is-an-hsa. I even try to avoid Thai immigration for paper work and work with an agent to my things done.

Yes I do. THE CDC officials and scientists don't have any agenda compared to a corporate entity that has vested interest in twisting facts with sensational headlines, like they have been doing from day one of this pandemic. Moreover, the article is not an in depth analysis. Just updated statistics of an old article that clearly shows India's 7-day average is extremely low. NY times also conveniently forgot to mention that Western Europe is devastated now with infection and death rate per million population despite having high vaccination rate and booster rates.

HSA is health saving account, a tax free account that you can let grow as an investment vehicle like stocks and can only use for health related expenses..

I believe US CDC that has put India in Level 1 low risk country compared to Western Europe which are in level 4 and now level 3. The total since the outbreak may be understated but we are talking about the past 7-day figures and CDC is comparing past 7-day figures to put a country in various risk categories not some 2021 NYTimes report.

Decades ago in the USA, I rented a 900 number and any sales-person called me, I would ask them to call my 900 number. And slowly the calls died down.

I used Fascino in Pattaya and was able to get all prescribed medications. Only problems is my Health saving account MC does not recognize Fascino as a pharmacy and charges are always declined. Hospital pharmacies are accepted. In fact I have not found a single pharmacy in Pattaya that are recognized as pharmacy by my HSA card. So far I have found only one store outside hospitals in Bangkok (Pratunam) that is recognized as a pharmacy.

Thai Elite visa question
CartagenaWarlock replied to hapark's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I applied using my Antigua & Barbuda passport (I have four) and came on a Tourist visa from Singapore (I have four passports). Got it affixed in CW while I was in Thailand on Tourist visa in 2018. -
With rising infection rate and death rate in the last seven days throughout Europe, I am not sure if it is produent to allow hordes of future "wife visa" refugees into Thailand. US CDC has already put most European countries in the level 4 high covid risk country. Compared to that, US CDC has recognized India's low number and put India at level 1 low covid risk country. Thailand should follow US CDC guidelines.

It depends on many factor. Are you loaded? If so, you can get an elite. It used to be one mil for 20-years. Now 2 mil for 20 years, one mil for 10-year and 600K for five years which can be upgraded in the future. Another option is get a tourist visa from cambodia good for three months (with one month extension) and hope that entry requirements are relaxed for the next round around for visa runs. As some poster has already mentioned, you can also get a 9-month education visa without leaving Thailand for 40K and hope you get another job within 9-months. Good luck whatever option you choose. If I were you, I would opt for 40K education visa option and learn Thai in the next few months.

Not so confident about vaccination looking at high infection and death rate in the pst 7-day in the UK so much so that UK is not level 4 country in US CDC list.

If staying for longtime (at least 6 months in a year) in Thailand, it is prudent to open a Thai bank account and transfer money from foreign bank to Thaibank using Wise. -

"Wife visa" refugees severely lack in reading comprehension.
