I just want to know where Covid actually is? As I have spent 1 complete year in the UK after 16 years abroad. During this time in the UK, I haven’t seen 1 case in my immediate circle or theirs as well. So how and where is this virus still living ?

I think it is still all BS and was from the start.

Do you live alone in a box somewhere ? All of my friends and most work colleagues have had covid and cases still occu

  2. 2023 , millions of Chinese dying due to zero vaccines and or poorly effective sino pharm ( unreported of course) .

Huge unrest from remaining population , threat to the chairman for life and the all important party,  invasion of Taiwan in an attempt to rescue popular partisan support .

World supply chains severely disrupted once again , World economy in more turmoil , someone somewhere hovering over a big red button.

    Just saying .

    Cheerful Charlie lol

I actually think 5million is just about possible.

IF they drop Test and Go.

IF they stop this Thai pass (look how great our country is you need a pass to get in) nonsense.

IF the drop the insurance demands.

IF they open the bars and clubs.

IF they do not do yet another YOYO

And IF they do it all now, so people looking can book with confidence not wishful thinking

And if they stop fannying about with exchange rate manipulation of the baht.

In all states of Auatralia it's recognized as a serious crime with serious penalties.

Plus there are many special cameras programmed to look for phones. If the camera catches you you're gone.

Get caught a second time and the fine goes way up. In some states get caught a third time and you can lose your driving license.

It's standard for passengers who catch taxi drivers using phone in some way to call police or taxi company and report the driver. Bus etc., drivers caught face instant loss of all driving licenses.

This aint Australia or anywhere else for that matter which is why we love it ...leave the control and laws behind you and relax ...

one has to wonder who and where/which pockets ALL that side boosting income goes.... with the amount of $$$$$ corruption they collect/grab it is hard to believe they are on the red, somebody is not sharing

Struggling due to bar closures , lack of gullible tourists , factory closures , less illegals border hopping etc etc .. under the table income on which they rely is drying up . They'll do what most mafia do ( they are undoubtedly  mafia) , change income streams to more lucrative things  IF they avoid the good generals desires to shut them all down.

I am afraid there are many cases which point to the contrary.

I really don’t know what they think or how much they know about the risks but it seems to me that these are normal families who probably think traveling to Thailand is the same as traveling in Europe nowadays.

Lets be clear on this ,in order to get here one needed Thai pass which included showing vaccination status   taking an official pcr test fit to fly 72 or less hrs before flying , full insurance , confirmed booking at Thai sh+ hotel to include another pcr test .

So no chance of probably thinking its the same as Europe ( which btw you also need lots of docs to do).

Risk you take yes but a lot to do before getting here .

She'll have insurance which will cover the quarantine .

Really a non story in my view but hey it gets people reading and the mostly ill informed commenting .

Btw i arrived back on 25th dec so do know what is needed to get here.

He could have simply gotten infected on a plane, which could have had infected transit passengers so they'd not know the source. As it would have been very early, the infection would not have picked up on initial test, but only a few days later when the viruses had an opportunity to multiply to the detectable levels.

With Omicron being 70x more infectious than Delta (I read this number in the news, but a bit skeptical), it should not take much for someone to get it in any closed space. As US health authorities estimate half the Earth's population would catch Omicron over the next 3 months, getting into a pressurised tube with hundreds of strangers for a day, masks off during eating and drinking, is pretty much a sure bet to catch it.

Now all that said - Omicron is staying in the upper respiratory system and does not move down to lungs. The whole reason why COVID became global emergency was because it moved to lungs, and caused deadly pneumonia. Now if Omicron doesn't move to lungs - how is it any different from a common cold, which is just like COVID, just it doesn't move to lungs?

Thank you for this post I feel much more relaxed about Omicron now .. thank goodness this paper allows so many expert reports from it's readership ..
