So what? I have been divorced once and remarried as have Charles and Anne. Many other people have divorced and remarried or not whatever the case may be.

There is no stigma in divorcing any more.

You find the Queens Christmas speech somewhat hypocritical.

That is your choice and your opinion which may not be the same as other peoples.

Just pointing out their hypocrisy, anyway the post was about meghan and harry, not your personal circumstances.

I don't think anyone is disparaging Harry for what he did pre meghan. However, how many helo pilots go on to make millions?

The reason why their son doesn't have a title has nothing to do with racism, perceived or otherwise. Much as Markle and Winfrey appeared to wish it were so.

Who is and who isn’t a prince or princess in the British Royal Family and why doesn’t Archie have a title?

It is, of course, possible that Markle didn't know this; but the Prince Harry should have known that his cousin's children had no titles! If not, it would have been easy enough to have found out at the time.

    Indeed, as that article says

This blunder on her part throws the rest of her version of events into doubt. As the Palace communique diplomatically said: "recollections may vary."

Silly mare should have googled it up.

Would that be the Prime Minister who describes some black children as 'piccaninnis', and who had an affair - with yet another illegitimate child arriving for him. Yes, a fine man to make decisions about family life....

The "firm" aren,t setting a very good example of " family life " either, all the queens children apart from rock steady eddie are divorced,so i find the queens christmas speech somewhat hypocritical.

Colored person? You clearly missed the first class of Wokeism. People get their careers destroyed for saying "colored person".

    https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-54888197

I think what you mean to say was "person of color"

If I was as spiteful as the wokeists I would now be calling for your to be banned from ThaiVisa, lose your job and be publicly shamed for this innocent mistake.

However I am much more empathetic than the vengeful cancel brigade. I can see this was an honest mistake. So I will rise above them and simply inform you.

Let's not join this race to the bottom.

I hate to point out that the story today is that Thailand wants only tourists with 3 months or less from vaccination date. IF that IS true then that has just discounted ALL of the millions Brits, Europeans, Americans, Russians over 50 if they open in October since they will ALL have been vaccinated outside their requested time. These people are there target market and they just shot themselves in the foot by saying they cannot come !

I don,t think thailand realises what an empty bag its holding regarding tourism,i personally wouldn,t think about visiting until vietnam opens.

You seem to think that legitimate complaints equal snide comments, they don't.

Without the posters on TVF there will be no advertisers and without them there would be no TVF.

What most posters who commented on this topic was the lack of information coming from TVF as to what happened and why.

Several posters who are more computer savvy than me offered suggestions what to do should it happen again. It probably will judging by the 3 or 4 times in the last year yet nobody from "the management" seems to have replied to them.

I have been a member for a few years now and I have watched it slowly degenerate from being a user friendly and informative site to one which has a few members who always attack other posters because they want to be kings of the hill and don't accept any criticism at all.

There used to be a camaraderie between posters where you could laugh and joke even if you had the opposite opinions with other posters.

Nowadays you are more likely to be flamed or reported to the mods for something that doesn't matter. There are still some worthwhile threads worth reading but not that many any more.

Perhaps i,d have more respect for the " computer savvy" posters if they offered to help rather than " making suggestions " a point i,m sure anyone who has served on a commitee will have suffered i.e plenty of yammer with no follow through,i,ve lost count of the times i,ve done jobs at my own time and expense to have some slag trying to " advise " me of what i was doing wrong, all with the common denominator that they don,t want to give up their precious time to help.i do totally agree with your point on the "kings of the hill"keyboard warriors, who were in all probability bullied at school and victims of domestic violence who practise self therapy in trying to assert their masculinuty through the forum and report button. In essence i personally wouldn,t expect far less request any person running this forum to do anything i wouldn,t be prepared to do.

The threat to trigger article 16 was made in order to stop the UK using the protocol to by pass normal import channels. It was a mistake; everyone realised that in short order, and so withdrawn. I won't go into the current "Yes you did," "No I didn't" row between the EU and Raab over a reported ban on vaccine exports from the UK to the EU.

No EU government banned anyone from receiving a vaccine. Several European countries opted not to give the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine to older age groups due to lack of data on its efficacy in the older age ranges in the Oxford/AstraZeneca clinical trials.

Meanwhile in the UK those under 55 have yet to receive their first does and less than half of those who have had the first dose have received the second.

The news, and indeed these topics, has been full of people harmed by Brexit.

From the jobs lost as even Brexit supporters move their companies to the EU, through fishing fleets tied up because they cannot export their catch to the EU, to small businesses having to fill in countless forms to continue to export to the EU etc.

But the damage Brexit has caused to the UK economy are hidden behind the much larger effects of the pandemic; and will be for some time to come.

Am I surprised that yet again a Brexiteer brings the pandemic and vaccine roll outs into a totally unrelated thread?

No; because they cannot find anything positive to say about Brexit so have to fall back on this!

Right on the eus been a resounding success,so why have we got 2.5 million eu citizens working in the uk?And why not provide vaccine figures for your beloved eu?.

But the problem is not of our making or choice but the choice of TVF.

Why should we have to take our custom elsewhere because of a problem that we did not make.

Have I detected any apology from TVF? Not so far and I won't be holding my breath waiting for one either.

Reminds me of the times i,ve given up my time serving on commitees, all the snide remarks behind the commitees backs, and when fronted the people doing all the whingeing when asked why don,t they go on all made their excuses.

Nothing is 'free' but England could enjoy such things too if only you voted for better, less corrupt governments who prioritise the general population rather than their small number of friends and donors.

£37 billion for a phone app that has been an abject failure and an international embarrassment?  That is more than the entire Scottish budget for 1 year. Think how many students that would pay for; think how many prescriptions that would cover. But you choose to let the Tories steal it from you.

If you want an example of waste look at tfl and their losses led by labours sadiq khan, talk about jobs for the boys.

A minority of people voted for Brexit; a minority of people voted for our incompetent fool of a PM and his corrupt party. What's your point?

How did we get brexit if only a minority of people voted for it? And after the disgracefull 3 years of antics from a hung remainer government, a 2 horse race peop!es election was held between brexit boris and momentum, sorry, corbyn, and what happened? The asinos bottles went and boris won by 80 odd seats.
