It would have been nice to have been notified that this would happen, again.
I tried to log on many times yesterday and failed as "The website you require is not available."
I managed to log on today around midday and managed to read one notification thread after which I got error 502 Bad gateway 3 times in a row, It took another 30 minutes before I could log in.
Meanwhile every other site I use regularly I could log into was normal.
I have no idea what the problem is/was or if it was time for an upgrade/new server but this is happening at about 2 or 3 monthly intervals.
If it is a server problem then it is about time the management changed their server and their suppliers, and NOT go for the cheapest option but the most reliable one.
Think we should all remember its people who give up their time and do not get paid for it that are this forum.

Bangkok: Hospital security guard dies after being attacked by three motorcycle taxi riders
video screenshot
A security guard at a Bangkok hospital has paid with his life after he warned a motorcycle taxi rider to slow down.
Thiraphan, 57, was initially involved in a row with one "win" rider that turned violent.
But that was not enough. The taxi guy went and got two mates who then attacked the security man at the Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute in Nonthaburi.
A video on the Thai Rath site showed the violence as the security man was set upon on the ground.
He was taken to Phra Nang Klao in a grievous condition on Thursday and later died after suffering a brain haemhorrage.
Three men aged in their 30s are now in custody.

Brexit, the Pandemic and a corrupt incompetent government, the perfect storm.
Another generalised deflection from answering my specific points raised.

Having supported Brexit, and you tell us, voted for Brexit you now tell those of us who warned Brexit would damage the UK economy and that people would lose their jobs, should:
”try sparing a thought to those who are resident here and having a hard time”.
Voting and indeed not voting has consequences, a lesson millions of Britons are once again learning.
Will of the people and all that, then why the need to spare a thought for anyone, other perhaps for those who voted against the obvious self-harm of Brexit.
The people who voted or chose not to vote are adults, it will do them some good the suffer the consequences of their own choice in this Brexit mess.
You keep saying its a brexit mess self harm etc, etc, perhaps you could explain how the majority (who voted to leave incidently)are worse off?in real terms please not the usual waffle about biggest trade partners and how eu workers come over to pick radishes because british workers don,t want to do it.

Obvious self harm to whom chomper?the unemployed?those waiting for an affordable housing association property to rent?the homeless? Now we,ve got a worldwide financual depression un the post due to the corona pandemic.

I have looked for some Brexit positives; but like you, I find it difficult to find any!
Those that are there are made insignificant by the negatives.
Such as the topic of this thread. EU finance companies opening offices in the City and providing 1000 new jobs are not replacing the 7,600 British jobs lost so far in the City!
What about the fiasco of the eu showing their true colours in trying to invoke article 16 as a deflection for their " handling " ???? of the corona vaccine programme? Are germany and belgium still sticking to their previous policy of not vaccinating 55-65 year olds? All projections of your predicted financial doom are victims of the worldwide corona pandemic as for my personal predicament,i learnt my lessons in life down to personal experience, not attending seminars in the canterbury arms.well would love to sit conversing with you but have a pending meeting with my financial advisor, terry the spiv.

I, too, am a UK resident.
Short term pain? Very much so.
Long term gain? Highly unlikely when we've no longer got completely free trade with our largest market. For an explanation, see Johnson promised tariff-free trade – so why is Brexit reality so different? Although as it's from the Guardian, you'll probably dismiss it without even reading it.
Even Brexit supporters like Rees-Mogg and Ratcliffe have shown little faith in any long term gains of Brexit; having since 2016 moved investments and factories out of the UK and into the EU!
You keep replieing to my posts in patronising terms,so i,ll say it just once it dosrn,t bother or affect me as i planned for the future,i am not a shiny arsed spiv working in the city, but have lost my livelihood twice so can,t say i,ve any sympathy for them if they loose their jobs, they,ll just have to do what i did and evolve and retrain.try sparing a thought to those who are resident here and having a hard time and perhaps give them the benefit of your wisdom and how brexit is the root cause of their current predicament.

I have just looked at the BBC World News online. Headlines 1 to 3 are:
1. China strengthening her grip on Hong Kong. Fair enough.
2. Myanmar protest updates. Yes, again fair enough.
3. Indian woman keeps flower embroidery tradition alive. No, no way can this be ahead of anything about Covid, the Pope in Iraq, Aussie political sex scandal, New York political sex scandal and dozens of other topics of world relevance.
BBC World News on TV is no better. It spends ab inordinate amount of time describing how wonderfully diverse it is that it forgets it's main function which is reporting the news. If it wasn't for the fact the gorgeous Yalda Hacim and Lucy Hocking still appear on our screens BBC World News would not be worth the bother. I expect both these 2 delights will be replaced any time soon by a couple of old and fat frumps completely devoid of sex appeal.
The BBC is now so woke it is in danger of sending eerybody to sleep.
A by product of being financed by compulsory license fee, " aunty beeb " would have gone down the gurgler years ago had it been a commercial enterprise,so as long as all the mugs keep buying a license they, lll keep subsidising it,and on a darker side check out john lydons ( johnny rotten of the sex pistols ) interview with piers morgan.

Whether or not you make it your business is, of course, up to you, however don't try to kid anybody by pretending that you don't know that Mexico will not pay for any wall.
Merely voicing my opinion, don,t see how i can " make it my business "and to be brutally frank couldn,t personally give a tinkers cuss. If the " wall "( looked more like a fence from what i saw of it on tv ) gets built or not,nor who pays for it.

Then you must consider the total amount paid by the UK to the EU budget to be so negligible it's hardly worth considering!
"The UK’s net contribution to the EU between 1973 and 2018 was about £216 billion in real terms (accounting for the way prices change over time and using 2019 prices). The net contribution was £156 billion in cash terms (not accounting for inflation)." (Source)
Of course, we have contributed for a further two years after that and there is also the so called divorce bill. You can look up those amounts if you wish, but I doubt that's raised the amount by £1.084 trillion in real terms, let alone £1.144 trillion in cash terms!
And in my humble opinion worth every penny as an investment for the future.

A person who actually makes sense and is not afraid to say it. Lets face it, ask yourself if you were a tourist and you had choices as to where to vacation, would you choose a destination that puts you into quarantine for 14 days or another. Also, if someone really is willing to sit in quarantine for 14 days to visit, they are really not a tourist. They are some form of long term resident.
I wouldn,t sit 14 hours on a stopover to get there let alone 14 days on rule 43,sorry quarantine.

Please state what the connection is between this case and the EU. Quite a few times, not to say many, people have explained to you there is none, all you have done so far is state 'yes, there is, without any argument at all. So please argue the facts.
I,m not wasting my time putting dodgy " facts " in such as highly biased sources as from the likes of" aunty beeb " and the bastion of free press the guardian.who are these people " explaining " to me? I am sick of attempting to justifie responding to questions i ask that " people " try to turn into statements, points and opinions i make taken out of context and " people " putting words in my mouth.and as for your "advice " on how to write my posts if you find them not politically correct enough for your taste please feel free to ignore them as i do to the majority of your posts and put me on ignore.i would also like to point out in the 80,s i worked for a national newspaper in fleet street where between making fleeting appearances, propping up the bar in the hoop and grapes, and attending the demonstrations at wapping, used to read every daily news paper ( except the ft) every time i graced the premises with my prescence.
