At long last everything is back to normal - except my upload speed's slower than before. I've learnt a lot from this thread, thanks to everyone. :jap:

Cleaning the drive the other day, there was a loud pop and I was showered with water as the hose to my pressure washer ruptured. Is there anyway to repair these things or is a replacement necessary? With all the expertise out there, I'm sure someone's done it

I'm not having a problem downloading now, but uploading is much slower than before all the trouble.

Anyone on Phuket able to download from TheBox? I still can't get the tracker to connect.

Have you checked to see if your client is allowed, as stated I had to downgrade my Utorrent to 1.8.3 to download.

Yep, been using 1.8.3 for months. All my private tracker torrents still show as red with the tracker unconnected. Last night some did connect but were running at about half the speed I normally get (and pay for)

I can't say that TOT threatening to take my landlady to court would be all that scary.

They won't let foreigners have internet accounts in their own names at my local TOT office .... ha ha

Strange because the application form has a box for passport numbers for foreigners, although mines in the wife's name. Oops

I think it's doesn't good for them to promote a court action. They were the first to broken the contract.

Don't think it's personal, just an automated billing system that keeps giving you a poke if you don't pay

Please continue to tell the world (& ISP's) that you:

1] wish to hog bandwidth compared to a 'normal' user because you want to download a tonne (or more) of 'legal' movies etc.

2] use P2P constantly.

I'm sure that the more you complain, the more ammunition against P2P users will be accumulated by ISP's.

Basically, you are making things very difficult for yourselves, particularly when the apparent cause of the problem has not been identified.

BTW, a 'normal' user does not use constant high bandwidth for hours at a time. A normal user, which is what ISP's estimate their bandwidth upon, uses much less than a P2P user who uploads at full speed as well as downloads at full speed.

You people are incredible!!! Not only do you want everything for free but you demand it in the shortest possible time. When it doesn't happen, you then blame the ISP for trying to provide reasonable bandwidth for everyone!

Anyway, the problem, whatever it is, may be totally unrelated to P2P. In which case, you are all over reacting & advertising to the world that you hog bandwidth.

Wouldn't it be a nice feature on TV if we could ban specific trolls from posting on our threads. Would save the mods a lot of work as well

I set the wife on to TOT again this morning and a technician confirmed they DO have a big problem and are looking into it. He also mentioned they were getting lots of complaints from all provinces and that it wasn't just restricted to TOT, so perhaps there is a breakdown somewhere in the system and we're not being blocked. Am I being too optimistic

Are private trackers connecting? Some of my torrents do, others don't.

first post for me so please be kind....In pattaya, and also having problems with torrent downloads with tot, I spoke to some thai friends of mine a day or so ago, and they are having no problems, they seem to think because they use a thai server (? i think that is what they said), whereas most of us foreigners use international servers (to download our favourite tv shows etc)so maybe tot are just limiting the international traffic?? Hey, this is all way over my head, I am just pretty annoyed with what is going on, and honestly I dont really care about the technical stuff, I think if tot want to mess with my service they should let me know beforehand, then I can decide if I want to continue with them or not. Of course, this assumes this is a tot decision, their 1100 staff seem to think not.

Several of our members have already had staff at TOT confirm they're blocking trackers. Things may improve Monday when all the staff are working normally again and customers start cancelling their contracts - We'll see

I download all my copyrighted Thai music videos from YouTube.

Some English language pop videos as well.

Now my torrents are screwed, I'm using YouTube more and more.

TOT throttle the death out of YouTube as well, but that's another topic

Personally I would never buy any pants that has a hole in the front and where the producer tells me NOT to wear any underwear.

Have you tried first to open a seed of a file you already have from the private tracker you are trying?

TheBox torrents from a few days ago and new ones, utorrent shows the tracker as not connected

Because BBC iPlayer and ITVplayer are not accessible from outside the UK?

They are if you configure Firefox correctly

I just got of the phone with True and the girl hasn't received one complaint about this. Said she would check with the technician, like they always do. She also said all their connection were working, but when she tried to access several torrent sites I gave, she couldn't do it. I don't understand people saying that True works correctly in Chiang Mai, because I'm here and it doesn't work.

She probably hasn't had many complaints - The problem is with TOT
