  1. There is no evidence that Jesus was sexual. We don't know if He had a sex organ.

It is odd that the Bible doesn't mention his knob and none of the images of him show it. As the son of god you'd think it'd be something special and a talking point amongst the disciples.

There again ET didn't have a willy either.

  2. Sino Thai is largely owned by family members of former acting Thai Prime Minister Chaovarat Chanweerakul, Thailand’s current Minister of the Interior.

Sino Thai also seems to win large government contracts - eg the 15 Billion baht contract for the BTS extension last year. But just because it's owner is the Minister of the Interior that doesn't indicate any nepotism or underhand dealings as the Dems wouldn't do that . . . unlike the evil Thaksin who's friends benefited from his time in power.

  3. Nice attention grabbing headline backed up by zero substance. More top reporting from Sondhi L's TAN news network.

I'm waiting to get the News ALERT: Abhisit forced out from office. And upon clicking I read that Rentokill had come round to government house and Abhisit had to leave his room for 5 minutes whilst they sprayed for bugs

  4. Instead of whining about it why not just phone the AirAsia call centre and book it over the phone? All you need is the details of the flights you want, your passport number and the credit card info. Takes 10 minutes and they speak English. Simple. I've done that when I had problems with the AA site in the past. But usually no problem with my Thai UOB Visa card online.

Also try booking on the mobile booking site mobile.airasia.com - much faster and easy to use.

  5. Someone writes something down in a forum and everybody takes it for the truth.<br />

Are you trying to say that TAN, part of Sondhi L's media group might in some way be biased towards the ruling elite and may not actually report facts all the time? Surely not.

The ironic thing is that half the posters on TV who claim that the uneducated rural voters cant tell Thaksin's spin from reality are the same ones who take any TAN or Nation report as being the gospel truth.

  6. Latestays.com is a good site to check. Have a look at the brand new S31 Hotel on the corner of Sukhumvit Rd and Soi 31. I stayed there last month for a couple of nights in a Duplex room - living room / kitchenette downstairs with bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Two LCD TVs, Huge bed - 8 foot wide. Floor to ceiling windows with cracking views. Well worth 2,750 / night. Pool's a bit odd - it has a plexiglass wall - like watching a human fishtank. Breakfast wasnt the best as there was only a couple of dozen guests - but the chef would knock up pretty much anything you wanted if you asked him. Under 5 mins walk to Emporium & BTS.

  7. Lets not forget the Economist lost alot of popularity here in Thailand for disrespecting the King awhile back. They are hardly balanced.

That particular edition sold zero copies as it was banned - so in that sense it wasn't as popular as others. But just because The Economist prints things that most people in the country know to be true yet cant be reported here - doesn't make it ' un-balanced' or 'one sided'.

  8. the first few statements in your post are the typical scaremonger watch out for the boogyman stuff.

Yeah, I know. All this legal nonsense can be a pain. Far better to ignore actual laws and just do whatever other people do - because of they do it then it must be fine. (Same as you'd do in your own country? Oh no. I forgot,. Thailand is different.)

And then when things come back to bite you just whine on a discussion board and blame anyone else but yourself for the predicament you are in.

  9. What did people expect the army to do? Of course they showed restraint. Were they really going to gun down red shirts in broad daylight or rush out of the barracks and arrest everyone?

The army just stood inside their compound behind several layers of razor wire. The battle of the speaker systems was light hearted banter. The reds were never going to try to storm a heavily armed compound and the army were never going to mow everyone down in a hail of bullets.

Anyway, should be more interesting today when the Reds go to Siam Square to protest and tomorrow when they paralyse Sukhumvit. (So my source at the demo says.)

  10. Avoid. You cant lease it longterm legally. Cant be owned in a company name. Can't register any usufruct etc on the land. So basically it'll be owned by a Thai and you have zero control over it. Technically cant build a house on it - although people do. Cant legally get a house electric meter, so homeonwers on PBT5 land are often on temporary electric meter charges which are far higher.

  11. Some practical steps Geordie Mark could implement that would have an immediate impact.

I'd like the PM to establish a mandatory Health Insurance policy covering all water buffalo living in Isaan. This would then enable expats marrying 'waitresses' they meet in Pattaya to sleep soundly knowing that there wont be any unexpected vetinary bills to cover in the future.

Likewise a limit should be placed on the number of drunk, waster relatives a farang is expected to support after marrying a local farm girl. I suggest a maximum of three - Dad, older brother and some bloke you never met before but seems very close to your new wife as she refers to him as her 'brother' when you are around - much to the amusement of her close friends.

Cash discounts on black Fortuners for expat buyers to bring them down to the price you'd pay 'back home' for an equivalent vehicle.

Free penis enlargement at Chula Hospital for all Harley riders living in Pattaya who only ever use their 'hogs' to get from their apartment on 2nd Road to Foodland to Beach Road and back.

And to keep PB and other TV mods happy - just declare Thailand as the world's first gay country - a huggable, hub of gayness. Everyone's wearing pink already and Hello Kitty has pretty much replaced the elephant as the national symbol so it's not a big step to make.

  12. I think it's safe to say you wont ever see a Reuters, CNN, BBC, AFP reporting using language like that used in Bangkok Post & The Nation. Eg This that is not only 100% inaccurate as Thaksin wasnt in Cambodia but referring to neighbouring country as a 'Gangster State' isn't something an impartial news source should be doing

    Gun

Who needs a gun besides the one our lord attached to our groins??

The lord didn't make all groins equal, so some compensation is often required by those less well blessed. ( Mine's a Magnum by the way.)
