  1. It’s good to see things don’t change... thank you I could work that out for myself... maybe I should have been clearer... second hand because they will only be used once if that....

  2. Tesco Thalang, go to the dtac booth stand facing it and then walk along 3 stalls to the right, excellent service will do it in front of you while you wait if not busy....

  3. Masterpiece of journalism:

was making a U-turn when his truck was hit in the right side by the motorbike

    ???

And the picture shows the pickup with an unharmed right side

..check out the angle of the stationery pickup..(presuming it hasn't been moved after the accident)..the angle would suggest IMO that he has come from the store obliquely across the first one or two lanes into the U-turn gap...this action would cause the rider of the red bike to have to take evasive action and try to go around the pickup as it cut across them..with nowhere to go they smashed into the pickup..if speed was a contributing factor..which one would say it was..based on the the serious damage to the bike..then they probably slid on their sides into the under sill of the pickup...my thoughts for what its worth...RIP for the deceased.

There is no u turn gap..
  4. Been a long time but I used to go to Club Med in Europe. French company and everyone there speaks French. All inclusive and you are given beads to pay for things within the resort. It was quite expensive when I used to go. Could be a different Club Med of course, maybe a Chinese copy?

I was in Thailand in November last year and stayed at 5* hotels (client was paying). About 30% of the guests were Chinese or Taiwanese and they were certainly not travelling on a group tour.

The Chinese tour companies pre book and pay for at reduced rates rooms in the large hotels, as many as 100 in larger the hotels and sometimes these are not filled, it guarantees hotels revenue, at certain times of the year.

  5. Get a yellow housebook, does not cost a Satang.

I've had a yellow book over ten years and have never found a use for it, except earlier this year I transferred a m/c to my name and the office in Phuket used it with a smile, maybe there's hope yet !!

  6. Why do you want your water tested? drinking supply? Irrigation?

Have 30+years of collecting and analyzing water samples. The only analyses worth doing from that list are the microbiological ones. If it comes back uncontaminated try drinking it. Does it taste okay? Is it brownish (possible iron issue). Then the water is fine.

All the rest are totally irrelevant. Some of them don't even make sense (total quantity as a chemical test???).

And 2,000 Baht to collect the sample!!http://static.thaivisa.com/forum//

Yes thank you all for the input, the government hospital? HQ in Bang Jo also do a test that's 7000 baht.

The water is for drinking and appears to be clear.

  7. Does anyone have experience of having a water test done on well water?

I do believe that the government provides such a test but having difficulty in finding out where. Thanks.

  8. Hi, I've been looking for an alternative to enrolling my daughter (8 years old) in an international school for a short time (5 months).

The only option I've found is L.D.L.C in Thalang which offers short term British programme.

I've visited and everything seems good, but because they only have small class sizes (6) they are full at the moment and have a waiting list. Aprox 4-6 weeks.

Does anyone have experience with them? or know anywhere else that does the same thing?

Is it worth going on their waiting list?

Thanks for any help on this.

My two children aged eight and six attended this school during the holidays, they where moving from a Thai. School to a EP program at another school.

Their basic English reading and writing skills where much improved and they enjoyed their time there.

    I can recommend it....

  9. Could have been my meter... [emoji12]Shorted and burst into flames, in the rain.. Impressive really..post-30637-14347648435874_thumb.jpg

The repair guy, said there are many when it rains..

Not my meters fault, of course, that wouldn't shut the grid down
