Probably just for locals if it is open:

"The Singkhorn Pass is only open for Myanmar and Thai residents travelling either way for up to two days. It connects Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan (Thailand) with a very remote part Myanmar's Tanintharyi Division (nearest large town Myeik, although this would take over one day's travel)."

So I do reside in Samut Sakhon, but for now am here on a tourist 30 day ticket, So if I understand you, I would not be able to cross the border here and re enter the Kingdom on a new 30 day ticket.

Why do people feel the need to have pets at all? seems like they lack something in their lives or need something as an emotional support, weak pathetic people. Or maybe just something they can show off, bully or even as with dogs, have sex with. What ever the reasons they always seem to expect the rest of us to put up with them when they are messing up our property, creating a racket and stinking the place up, never mind devastating the wildlife, attacking people and causing road accidents. The world would be better off without stinking pets.

My neighbor had the same attitude for pets as you,  he was a real prick.

  4. Immediately following the triple meltdown, The US EPA simply raised the acceptable levels of radioactive exposure rather than letting people know that the former levels had been done away with all together.   (Because they are no longer obtainable with the ongoing meltdown.)  This has not improved things in the Fukushima area as we do not currently have the technology to deal with it.   Hopefully someday we will,   until then the "new" acceptable exposures will stand.      The EPA knew that if they didn't  alter the acceptable limits,  then people would panic and they might have to do something to address the situation.   What they chose to do was criminal in my opinion.

Why not just go back when you want and return when you want on a new visa. Not much difference between renewing an extension and getting one from a visa.

Well,  because last time I had to report to the Portland Or consulate to get started with the 1 yr visa, Now that office is closed,  and I'd have to go clear to LA from So Or  in order to get things started.

  6. I have a non imm O visa (My wife is thai) that I have set to renew every July.

My question is:  I'd like to go back to the states in the next couple of months for 3-4 months and am wondering if I could go and renew my status early before July.   Would I be able to do that sooner rather than waiting until the official renew date?

Has anyone here ever done that>?

    1. mRNA vaccines do not involve any "genetic trickery" (altering of genes) whether the recipient is humans or animals.

    2. you appear to be repeating an already debunked claim relating to the U.S. food supply that originated with a well-known vaccine misinformation purveyor...

    See the following:

The claim: mRNA vaccines are in the food supply

    Our rating: False

"There is no evidence the human food supply contains mRNA vaccines. While livestock are occasionally vaccinated with mRNA vaccines, no milk or meat is harvested from the animals until the vaccines have been metabolized. Experts say there is little to no possibility of the mRNA vaccine entering the food supply through livestock."

    ...

Lehenbauer told USA TODAY in an email that due to federal guidelines, neither meat nor milk can be harvested from animals receiving any kind of vaccines until several weeks after their shots, giving the animals time to fully metabolize the vaccines.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2023/02/15/fact-check-false-claim-mrna-vaccines-food-supply/11218991002/

Your information is incorrect and needs updating.   Livestock (pigs and cattle) are being treated with mrna gene therapy in the US  and elsewhere regardless of what your fact checkers say.   They are flat out wrong.

  8. Sounds like The Beef and Pork industry in the US is now treating products with MRNA technology.   Most states do not have regulations yet stipulating that notifications of these mrna products are required which is a concern for some about what they ingest.

Does Thailand have any sort of consumer warnings or consumer notifications to alert buyers of products which may have been subjected to mrna "tweaking"

    does anyone know for certain?

I just want to eat regular pork and beef minus the genetic trickery

  9. I think if you are looking for air that is clean,  probably south and west.   The western edge of the peninsula along the Andaman.

One thing that you can do is get a good hepa filtration unit for the rooms you sleep in.  That would allow you healthy air for 8 hours each day which would be a big step in the right direction.

  10. Well,  It looks like Bose is willing to cut me a break on doing an upgrade for my old headphones (which will not charge) to the newer and better QC45 headphones.    Total of $209 after their rebate.

A new set will hit me $279.

Of course I'll have to do the exchange when I am back in the United states,  so I will have to wait until mid July to resolve  this.    <deleted>.

  11. Hello all,

I've got a set of Bose qc35 Noise cancelling headphones that are about 6 years old and I love them.

They have stopped taking a charge and I think they probably need a new rechargeable battery,  since the one in them now is the original.

They still work great,  but the charge is diminishing and soon they will be kaput.    I tried different cords and chargers and they are not the culprit.   The little amber light that usually lights up while it is taking a charge does not light up anymore.

Is there anyone in BKK  that can put in a new battery for me?    I looked up the operation and it appeards to be a fairly complex one and I do not want to dick around and mess up my headphones.

Any referrals would be a big help.

  12. Many compounds have multiple medical uses.

Some antipsychotics and antidepressants are used for insomnia,

Some amphetamines are used for narcolepsy and adhd.

Hell,  even liquor has been used as pain killer, antiseptic, engine cleaner, and fuel.

Similarly, ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine have uses for more than just their main use.
