  1. I had a Chinese one last year.

It worked great until one day it was totally dead.    Less than 12 months of use (more like 6).

I looked for something that would hold up better,  the Japanese ones are excellent,  but spendy.

I ended up getting a Hatari on Lazada.  I like Hatari because it is a Thai company and you don't have to pay extra for importing it from elsewhere.   We have Hatari fans in the house and they have worked very well.

This one is silent,  has a hepa filter, and is robust enough to clean the air in our 400 sq ft space quickly.

definitely appreciate having it now that the air is nasty and unhealthy.

Yes but at this late point in his career his credibility has come into question. So all this is based on one source. That source could be lying. Many people would have very good reasons to lie about this.

I think the only ethical response now is to say it's possible but not backed up nearly well enough to take as truth.

Well,  take it how you wish, but when the President of the USA says that the NS2  will be taken out,  that might lend some credibility to the reporters story.

How does the story being from a later point in the writers career take away from the credibility?  Seriously,  I would think that it only lend more credibility, not take it away.

There is one I think anonymous source,

The reputation of Hersh is spotty, especially the latter part of his career.

Putin has taken this as truth and so have American isolationists that don't want to help Ukaine.

It could be true but this is too important to accept as true with such thin verification.

    He was awarded The Pulitzer.

His reporting also disclosed the atrocities of the My Lai Massacre and of Abu Ghraib prison.

I don't know what enforcement there is in other parts of the country but here in the North where we are, we are very strictly forbidden to burn garden waste etc from mid. February onwards, to do so risks a very real risk of a visit from the Tessaban and a fine.

We have a bunch of seafood processing plants here in Samut Sakhon.   Along side of the plants,  Mountains of styrofoam containers accumulate throughout the month (s)   only to be burned spewing black clouds of toxic smoke into the air.    ONCE IN A WHILE,  YOU WILL SEE A BLACK PLUMe erupt from the horizon,  and it is usually the styrofoam piles being torched.

It’s common sense that if you are in an open air area not surrounded by a lot of people.  You don’t need the mask.
And if you are in an area with no ventilation and a lot of people you should wear one. Especially if you have health issues.
This is not a medical breakthrough.  It’s common knowledge.
What’s the big deal of wearing a mask in certain situations.  Get over it.

OK, got it,  but what if there are two of you, and you are zipped up together in a sleeping bag (but you are each holding your breath?)

Yes Yes Yes!!!!   One of my pet hates!  ????

Just like when Americans might say Los Angeles, California instead of just Los Angeles!

I did go to school, you know!!

You remind me of Yul Brenner in the King and I when he emphatically states "Siam is the biggest country in the world"   image.thumb.png.0fa52642ecbf4840e2110e7022b45d97.png

Volcanoes will spew so much greenhouse gas that the temperatures will rise by 2*.

A cure for caner will be found by making a distillate of cheese whiz.   It will be pulled by the FDA as Cheese whiz has too much salt and preservatives to be consumed by most people...

  9. I've got a surfski boat... It is like a sea kayak and I snapped off the plastic rudder the other day.   I have a spare rudder that I put on there.

I tried fixing the old rudder with a 2 part epoxy,  and with super glue and baking soda as well...  It is not working out.

I'd like to take the spare rudder to somebody with a 3d printer and have them make a new one for me.

Is there anybody in the BKK area that might be able to do that?

    Please advise.

If you tried to convert an air rifle to fire conventional ammunition,  you would likely find yourself at the receiving end of a blast.
