I never understood the notion of having the airline security forces disarm me of nail clippers, and pocket knives and the errant allen wrench,  only to be given a knife with my in flight meal?

Every time I have entered the Big shopping malls or gone anywhere  in Thailand,  I have had a 4  inch folding Benchmade knife on me that I could butcher an elk with, and   never has anyone said a word about it.

One has to ask, What would cause the air to be at a 200 plus count for 2.5 micron particulate for such long periods?

In what world would that be expected or acceptable?

It is not as though there is an active volcano in these affected areas.

This is ridiculous. Nations and Societies/cultures have a choice to place value on clean air and clean water or not. Clearly, these places on the map have chosen where they place the value.

It is unfortunate for the folks that live downwind or downstream, and some day, wars will be fought over clean air and water.

    Mark my words.

  3. Absolutely I believe in God.

I was raised a Christian,  and have looked into different aspects of christianity,  as well as Buddhism,  and Gnosticism,  and even others.

It is possible for a Buddhist to be a christian,  but a christian can not be Buddhist.    I suppose that at this juncture,  My philosopy is that there is indeed a god,  and I aint her.

Interesting topic and subject from Alan Watts:  and interesting buddhist similie:

I was talking to a Buddhist priest in Thailand a while ago.  I was looking at some books in a book shop in the precints of a Buddhist temple.  I was wondering over & I noticed a book on a certain form of Buddhist meditiation.
I murmured, "hmm,  Satipatthana" (which is the name of a certain type of Buddhist meditation) and a voice suddently said to me, "you practice Satipatthana?"
I looked up.   There was a skinny monk in a yellow robe with rather red eyes looking at me.
I said, "not exactly Satipatthana, I use a different method called Zen."

"Oh, Satipatthana not Zen" he said.

I said, "It's somethng like it isn't it? It's rather like Yoga isn't it?"   "No" he declared,  Satipatthana different!  Satipatthana only right way."

"Well look," I said to him, I have a lot of Roman Catholic friends who tell me that their way is the only right way,  who am I to believe?"

"You know," I said, "you're like someone who has a ferry boat for crossing the river (I'll use the Buddhist similie.)  And another fellow down the stream has opened up a ferry business.  You go to the government and say , "He is not authorized to operate a ferry boat because he is competition to you."

    I said,
"Let all operate ferry boats who will.

& if you haven't got the sense to get off one that sinks,  it's your fault."

  4. I know all about n AMERICAN snakes,  but very little of SE Asian ones.   That being the case my policy is to gently escort snakes off of our property with a long staff and into the nearby swamp.

This one was climbing a vertical concrete wall in our back yard.   I reckon it was a little under a meter in length and did not act aggressively when i encouraged  him off our property.

    Anyone know what he is?

  5. https://www.breitbart.com/border/2020/01/31/pets-can-carry-wuhan-coronavirus-too-says-expert/

A Chinese epidemiologist warned this week that the novel Wuhan coronavirus is not limited to communication between humans.

Dr. Li Lanjuan of the Chinese National Health Commission made clear that mammals are generally are at risk of passing the virus.

“If pets go out and have contact with an infected person, they have the chance to get infected. By then, pets need to be isolated. In addition to people, we should be careful with other mammals especially pets,” she told China Central Television (CCTV) Wednesday.

Chinese news outlets and the World Health Organization report that pet-to-person transmission remains theoretical as of now. The WHO declared an international emergency on Thursday.

This makes me wonder if other animals can act as vectors for the illness,   What about birds scavengers?    Crows etc.

China already put down about 350 million pigs from sickness...

Unless there is something wrong with this table,   there should be a little over 2 rai in an acre... 17,222 sq ft per rai.    You could grow a <deleted> victory garden in that amount of space.

  7. Und also,
It attacks the central nervous system
    [link to www.sciencedaily.com (secure)]
For the first time, researchers have found proof of a direct association between strain OC 43 of the human coronavirus (HCoV) and neurological disease in humans.

This breakthrough was made by British and Quebec researchers, including Professor Pierre Talbot of the INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier Centre, who was the first not only to demonstrate the virus's ability to invade the human central nervous system, but also to suggest the neuropathological effects of this virus responsible for approximately 20% of common colds and more severe respiratory conditions in certain vulnerable individuals.

The discovery was recently featured in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Perhaps this explains what the deal is with those videos of folks shaking and quaking?

The results obtained confirm Professor Talbot's hypothesis that the human respiratory coronavirus can cause certain neurological diseases of unknown origin, such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and encephalitis.

    aber naturlich.

  8. Wuhan has been flying in and out Business as usual until today.    Flights to BKK and San Fransisco/Anchorage.   Looks like today things are backing up,  because some countries are saying "NO" to incoming.   I have not seen flights cancelled,  just delayed thus far.

    Problem, reaction, solution.

Go look at flight tracker. Wuhan is not locked down. Smoke and mirrors psyop. The elites are not going to release something they can't control.

People are going to get sick but it's activated thru the eye. See how they kind of tell the truth and say it's transmitted by the eye?  People will get sick from their screens/smart phones that can create symptoms. image.png.c6304998fca8d0670a2ea62687a0cfc5.png

I ain't saying you are wrong, Absolutely dead on with the Hegelian dialect.    but I believe any mucous membrane or body tissue that secretes fluid makes a favorable environment for passing viral pathogens (bacterial and microbial too).    Sinus tissue,  all of the digestive tract,  the eyes, and reproductive gear.

It is time for full body condoms and more than arm length distance dancing partners.

  10. I think the same protocol for prevention of influenza should be practiced.

Hygene,  avoid exposures, and plan on being exposed anyway.

Eat the most nutritious foods you can,   and get plenty of rest so that your system is in good shape to handle the illness.    If you get sick,   isolate yourself from others....

This bug is a bad one,  because even if you are not symptomatic,   you are still shedding the virus to others, so isolation protocals will be less effective and harder to pull off since many folks simply will not know they are infected and contagious.

Some say that nicotine in tobacco also knocks down the ability of Viral replication...  Who knows, Smoke em if you've got em,   just don't make a habit of it.

    This is a bad deal.
