The problem with trying to marry again in Thailand is that it will require you to lie on the affidavit you provide that testifies that you are unmarried. That can really come back to bite you in the future, not only in Thailand, but also in the US.
Thanks for the input Tim. That thought has crossed my mind also. Maybe got to divorce and remarry. This effort to register our marriage is becoming monumental.

FWIW, I know this is a bit different and is a Thai Ampur requirement, but I'm currently trying to register our marriage (I'm American, she's Thai, and we were married in Abu Dhabi) at our Ampur, but they require our original certificate to be certified and translated into Thai, as well as passports and other things. Sounds easy, but UAE Embassy will not certify the original certificate, although properly registered in UAE at the time, unless the MoFA in Abu Dhabi certifies it as real, then and only then will the embassy certify it and only after that will the legal translators translate it. We probably will get remarried in Thailand just to make it legal here....
Sorry for the diversion.

Could easily be an allergy. My wife and I get it from time to time. Good, quick check is to get a simple antihistamine like Xyzal or Levocet at your local pharmacy. Try it, if the crawling/itching goes away within a couple of days, that was it.

If they were going to do it, they would have done it already.

Another example of how thai people cannot control their anger and lack any after thought of their consequences.
Very sad for the boy who lost his life at the hands of a selfish delinquent ....
Try watching some international news and you'll find out that this has nothing to do with a specific nationality. It has to do with the current state of humanity, or lack thereof.

I use Blez, 2 stores at Sukhumvit and Asoke. At least 2 more stores around Bangkok. Suspect you'll need to establish a relationship before they'll deliver, never hurts to try though.

I just googled "custom window screens Thailand" and got an amazing number of responses. However, personally I had mine made by Windsor Window and Door. 02-968-8960-1. They did an excellent job.

Thai post delivers the mail to my home mailbox 7 days a week. But they don't pick-up mail like in the States.

Hard for airlines to collect this. Ridiculous. Make it 200 baht extra for everyone. Easy.
Airlines have been collecting the departure fee (700 TB) for years!

How the heck will people know if someone has a work permit?
As far as I recollect, the WP must never leave the place of work.
I've always had my work permit for over 20 years. And I've had to show it to officials on occassion.

Having lived here well over 20 years, I can't say I've ever felt in danger. Certainly safer than NYC at midnight.

At 73 I'm quite content. I've done virtually everything I've wanted to do, seen what I've wanted to see, and been where I wanted to go. Frankly don't want or crave 10+ hours on an airplane anymore, so content to simply enjoy my family and Thailand. Still working full time simply because I enjoy working and I'm not sure what I'd do with all my time if I didn't work. Money isn't an issue, I don't need to scrimp and save, I buy what I want and do what I want to do. As far as I'm concerned, I'm living the dream life, alive and well in Thailand and don't miss a thing from my PR, the USofA. Haven't been back there in many years and don't see a need to rush back anytime soon, if ever. I'm not anticipating EoL, know it will come when it comes. Not waiting for nor embracing it.

BTW, what are "classic theft techniques." Might help awareness if described.
My thoughts exactly! If some explanation is given it would help us to know what to look for! Most of us are not thieves and don't know how they do it.

This thread amazes me. If it had been about Thais being dupped, everyone here would be busy bashing the Thais for stupidity! But this is about Americans being dupped (yes, I'm American) and no body mentions how stupid the Americans were! The difference in responses stupefies me. And that's my 2 cents worth....

I get my CORs from 1 stop. Whole process takes 200 Baht and about 1 hour to have the COR in hand and out the door.

This is so common. It takes 2 minutes to do the TM30 online, so why not just do it every time you come back, required or not. Biggest effort was getting my wife's home in the system. After that a piece of cake.

Originally searched (google) for something, Lazada came up, ordered what I wanted, got it, was happy and simply continue to use them. Have encountered no unresolvable issues, basically satisfied with the experience and service. Personally, have had no need to set up an account elsewhere, so continue to use Lazada. After scores of orders, they meet my needs and expectations probably better than 90% of the time.

Thanks for your input. The agent angle in the UAE is an interesting concept. Interesting point, Bangkhen is where we are trying to do this.
