That is very unusual and usually means that the kid had a mental/character problem already and the military just brought it to the fore. I am a great believer in the ability of a military training and environment to turn around bad ones, develop good ones and make young people much better for the experience.  It can and does give confidence to the underconfident ( which it did for me) open a life of adventure and discovery and aid social skills. To the OP, there is no need to worry, in all probability, the lad will be all the better for it and especially in Thailand, to be away from Mums apron strings.

Should do that in uk  if they won.t work.make a man of them instead of mummy's boys .

Change the reason for your extension application to marriage/child.

Only 400K required in the bank for two months prior to an extension application based on Thai wife.

Only 400K required in the bank on the day of application based on Thai child.

    Which way you proceed depends on a couple of issues;

    1. Are you legally married to a Thai registered in Thailand.

    2. Was the child born in wedlock, or do you have parental custody of the child.

My god that's a bit harsh .same happened to my friend she took money out of wrong account put back next day as soon as ahe realised.they were having n9ne of it.even ad the nerve to ask what she took the money out for.she rold them that's my business ????

I had rabies at private hospital multiple times, around 300b. Need around 5 shots.

At the same time I was going for dressing wounds.

If the dogs are healthy within need future, you don't need full course.

It will protect her for sometimes, maybe a year. So it's not completely wasted.

For 4k is a serum, at private can be around 16k (as some tourists reported after being bitten by monkeys).

Serum is given when very deep wound and close to head/neck area.

any vax is good now, will boost immune system against potential covid.

Jesus didn.t realise it was 5 shots .thought it was 2.must take a bigger stick when i go out .lots of soi dogs onmy rd

Spare a thought for those who are working in transport. Uncle Too put a target on their backs. Ticket sellers, cleaners, drivers, bus attendants did not need to be put so mercilessly at risk.

Sad to say a lot of these workets don.t get furlough .so most carry on working don.t get social like they do in uk.

Vicious circle for these poor ppl

Doesn.t help if they have run out of tests .if that's true .and they won.t be able to pay private.

Got to have some sympathy for them

I knew a lot of ppl say if they don't pay social but no1 saw this coming ????????

Just to give a less gloomy angle - sometimes the sinsod bit is for show (or good luck, tradition, whatever). The groom gives the agreed upon sinsod to bride's parents, who in turn give it back to the newlywed couple. Sure, there are also sinsod-goes-wrong stories involving greedy parents/family, but I think overall it's not that common to mess with wedding money etc.

Mrs. Morch's parents and family never brought it up before we got married. I think the above version was part of her two younger siblings' weddings, but more like in a tradition/fun kinda way.

As other said, depends on many things, and if you don't feel comfortable with it, just don't. It's not a must.

Why do u need to get in a permenant  relationship or marriage anyway.stay single much cheaper

    Hi,

My asian wife has suffered (we think) food allergies a quite a few times over the past year. We are planning on getting her allergy tested on Friday.

I say food cos it could be airborne but seems to come after a meal. The Mrs has allergies now to Crab, Salmon, Squid it would appear.

I'm just curious cos I seem to encounter more people with allergies to seafood in particular here than I do outside of Thailand. Anyone got any ideas why this might be ?

AND any anti-histamines that have worked for you ? The Mrs just came back from the local Pharmacy with an anti-histamine which specified eyes. nose, throat etc but no mentioned of Skin irritation.

I went to good old Boots and they've recommended Bilaxten tablets and Betamethasone-N cream (which I've bought). The cream she's applied. Will try the new tablets when the ones taken this morning wear off !

    Many thanks in advance

    BBJ and The Wife !

He ended up going to hospital in bangkok for many tests as well very frustrasting for long time.then they said 1 of his statins was triggering a reaction as well

They're going to need a lot more than 60,000 tests when they finally realise that it's already spread from Samut Sakhon and is rife in Bangkok. Shut down the big mango now, and stop its residents from travelling out to infect the rest of the country. The CCSA  has completely dropped the ball on this one.

Oh dear it was to be expected more tests more positives makes sense

A total of 60 people died of Covid-19 over the past year in Thailand, 7 less than died this past long weekend in traffic accidents.  Thailand's borders are shut down, but not it's highways.

Worldwide about 1.5 million have died from Covid 19.  Annually, about the same number die in vehicle accidents worldwide.

The reaction to Covid-19?  Shut the world down, quarantine all populations, economic catastrophe be damned.

The reaction to an equal number of vehicular deaths:  "Ho-Hum"

The government makes the laws .so i don.t understand why are they 1000's without helmets.why   does ppl ignore this law

What's going on this year? I want an uncooked turkey so that I get all the fat and juices from the meat during cooking as they make the best roast potatoes of the lot, but the only turkeys I've seen around town so far are the Butterball ready-cooked variety.

I can appreciate with the Thai authorities being worried about importing bird flu that they might insist on people only importing the ready-cooked variety, as there's no risk then, but if that's the case then surely they should be priced at the pre-bird flu levels of around 1,000 Baht for a Butterball turkey that we used to pay 4 or 5 years ago? Instead, the shops are all asking 3,000+ Baht for a 5-6 kg ready-cooked bird, and that's ridiculous.

Absolutely stupid prices i for 1 won.t psy and i love turkey ????

We bought health insurance for our baby (born in Thailand) 42,000 baht for 1 year. They then rejected the insurance because the father is an American citizen. They will refund us the money. Anybody else went through this before? What insurance company should I talk to now?

If it's thai child i thought they had free health or very small amount for health
