I had a rebate a couple of years ago and HMRC also insisted on paying by cheque but in my case they sent the cheque directly to Lloyds Bank and not to my address. Guess it's too late to have them do that now?
My husband same got a letter saying he had rebate if he sent bank details within 40 days they would pay into bank .took 65 DAYS to get here???????? so to late they have sent a cheque might get it by xmas. .hope there's no expiry date on it .hope i can put into foreign currency account i have here.that's if he ever gets the cheque ????????

If you are currently making class 2 payments I agree there is no big hurry. If not then the option to make class 2 will go away and you will only be able to make class 3 (still an amazing ROI but not as good)
The Gateway ID makes little difference to getting the form for a pension forecast and contribution history as this has to be done by snail mail, it also may not be exactly the same as on the gateway.
FWIW a Skype call to the U.K. landlines runs at about 16 baht per hour and the quality is great
My husband got his pension last year he did most of it online had to send birth certificate to uk but got them back in a couple of weeks all quite easy really
My turn in a couple of months not a chance to name all my jobs ????????had way to many to remember ????good luck .do it online

I assume you got a new passport since 2005.
When you transferred stamps, what does the first page of your passport show (Liberty Bell Page 8)? Non-B, Non-O, Non-RE? One, more, all?
I thought you couldn't get a Retirement extension on a Non-Imm. B?
Yes, some people (in the past, not so recently is my recollection) were able to get Retirement extensions on a Non-Imm B, but always thought that involved an intra-Immigration conversion to a Non-O?
Yes we have to do that .to prove u still have the full money after 3 months.only do it once .nothinf to do with 90 day report

A friend suggested to call the British embassy see if they could help/ advice.Only thing them useless sods said.... Not our problem.
So you think i am being unfair, you aint got a clue what you are talking about.

Delaying air travel for me is not an issue as i fall into married and have child......the delay in getting home is the financial cost of getting from sydney australia to nakhon si tammarat. Having been quoted $16,500 for a 1 way flight, still waiting 2 months now for australian boarder force permission to travel, and its impossible to get a covid19 test done within 72 hours of flying.
Yes there is a cheaper flight that has a stop over in china....for australians it is a do not travel zone due to the changes in the laws............
That's tough of all countries china but then no 1 would go then anyhow surely

As much as I would like to return to Australia to see my kids and grand kids the 14 day quarantine on return, even if in a luxury hotel paid for by the Thais, could be a real turkey shoot. Sharing the room with Cindy and Vicky would be bearable I guess but my luck may see me sharing with Abdul and Ahmed!
You have to pay for it yourself i think

That explains why the one of the first groups being allowed in are 100,000 from Myanmar.
Thailand needs foreign construction workers right now like a hole in the head. How many more condos do they need to add to the list of 00's of 000's of unsold ones already standing there ?Thought there were thousands of thais out of work.

So they will let in migrant workers even though unemployment in the country is through the roof, and pretty much deny anyone who is going to come in and spend money? I wonder what school of economics they attended? Obviously must have been local as they would have failed miserably anywhere else.
I agree thought they were 1000's of thai's without work and homeless
So wheres the sense in that ?????

this is probably a bit obvious but if you fill up one of these ginormous 6L water bottles it'll cost you a one-off 30-40 baht to buy the bottle, then 5 baht to refill each time if you have a water machine nearby and you'll get maybe dozens of cups out of each refill, so virtually zero cost and super convenient
I heard it isnt as good as bottled water but by the time you've boiled it there'd be zero chance of getting sick from it - been doing that for years nowBe careful with those water machines don.t get cleaned or filters changed no where near as often as they should.but like u said if boiling it should be ok .i buy the big 18 litres of waterman for drinking cold

Yes your fully assimilated into the "no Tink Too Mutt" method ????

I had similar troubles before and ended up swapping out the charging cord. Had to get one from the laptop manufacturer for it to last. Here's an article with some other ideas:
https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/what-to-do-if-your-laptop-is-plugged-in-but-not-charging
I had that with my phone.just got new charger .easier and cheaper first option.lucky for me it worked.better than lugging your laptop about.good luck
