    Yes. Masks are mandated for inside buildings, on public transport etc. Most people wear them all the time which is surprising considering they tend not to follow rules for driving, parking,smoking or littering. They have small masks for kids and human hearers have an extension that goes around the back of the head instead of on ear.

    Lots of tourists in Penang on Saturday. Back to the pre covid traffic jams. Other days the traffic is quiet. Still lots of businesses closed. Only 50% of Malaysians have had the covid booster so mask wearing to continue

    Just to follow on here Are they asking for a hotel booking and ticket out? For a Canadian couple crossing from Malaysia

    Some tourist restaurants are still closed. A few have moved. Some roads, highway and in town, have been newly finished. Generally quieter city than before. Not much mask wearing.
