GPS trackers for tourists...
If mandatory that is so against most standards of human freedom of association and free will as to be astounding. Even for a thai ministry appointee.
They do this for criminals on home release, but just coming to Thailand does not de facto make you a criminal.
The tour boat sinks. Will the GPS be water proof and transmit a signal to find your body? Barn door closed, but at least you don’t float away as fish food.
So the cost of all these GPS units will be less than just enforcing safety standards on boats and vehicles?

Having met trump in NYC years ago, I never had any illusions about his general incompetence, obsessive greed, petty malevolence and unsuitability in polite society at any level.
His popularity is built on illusions of bravado and delusions of powerfulness, held by himself and his base, that are starting to finally unravel. Though for some poor souls that penny will never drop.
Some people serially fail, yet fall upward. But eventually they always crash spectacularly. Keep watching folks.

What is truly and solely important is finding the children and coach.
Worst case to give the families closure, since that time is fast aproaching,
considering their dress and lack of body fat to survive on over 9 days...
But best case a dramatic rescue and a slow but complete recovery for all of them.
And MAYBE someone in authority will post adequate warnings about the dangers
of entering into this cave system during rainy season. This is NOT the first time.
