  1. I got them at TT currency in Pattaya, and I then used them in Germany this year. The Germans acted strange when I handed it to them, but they accepted it.
  2. Perhaps same Thais who tried to snag my phone from me in Jomtien beach 3 months ago. 3 guys on a Honda wave came from behind and pulled my hand and my phone. Police didn't care about it because I didn't lose anything. It was directly under the CCTV, and I told police the time. They laughed at me while I left. I threw a bottle at one of them and he probably got a bit hurt, so I didn't push it.
  3. I visited many condos in the base already 6-7 years ago, and they were in terrible condition already. Taps and door handles falling off and everything felt cheap. The rooms are tinier than prison cells too. The Guards always gave me a hard time too, had to park outside.
  4. When do they expire?
  5. But how does it work? Only some goods qualify for the stamps, or everything you buy? As you said sometimes a get a bunch of stamps, and other times nothing.
  6. I think the ground beef in makro Pattaya is bland and tasteless, but the one on Phuket was amazing. The quality (and price) seem to differ in each location.
  7. Most apartments in Pattaya charge 9 THB /unit. I pay about 4000 each month, in electric bill alone, for a 40 sqm unit. That's about 450 kWh each month.
  8. I did it at the same shop and it feels a bit weird. Not sure if it's too hard or too soft, but feels a bit uncomfortable. I asked them to add more tension to the rear shocks but they refused to do it. There's a language barrier.
  9. When walking at Pattaya Beach, in the evening, I've several times nearly had a fight with ladyboys not letting me pass, and tried to grab me. I've stopped walking there now, because there's too much marijuana smoke as well.
  10. It seemed to have been fixed in perfect condition.
  11. Reminds me when I was young and tried to argue with someone who had joined a sect or a pyramid scheme. Impossible to convince them, that they fell for it. 'It's Easier to Fool People Than to Convince Them That They Have Been Fooled'
  12. So you can use your car for an hour once every month. Is that your point? Should I be impressed?
  13. Check how the electricity in Thailand is produced... From gas and coal (85% in 2022). Pointless to have electric vehicles as long as that's the case.
  14. I got shocked when I went to Phuket, and saw every road in perfect condition. Why such a huge difference compared to Pattaya?
  15. What's the price of Beef meat in Da Nang?
  16. It's hard, even I have elite visa, don't drink alcohol or pay girls, mostly cook my own food. There's so many small expenses, it all adds up. Do people account for new electronic purchases, shoes and clothes, motor vehicles, and their service, health and dental expenses, travel and holidays? Medicines and vitamins, internet and phone service. Gifts for family for birthdays and such. Damn it's just too much.
  17. What's wrong with you? What's wrong with trying to help innocent people from being scammed? Wake up.
  18. I know that's how it works. But there's a lot of red flags, and more scrutiny is required.
  19. That's a Swedish infamous newspaper who seem to get their information from the family directly without any other sources. Nothing in Thai media?
  20. I can't see anything in your post.
  21. According to what source. You shouldn't believe everything you read online. There's scams all over going on. Show some scrutiny.
  22. She's been in Thailand for at least 6-12 month, she's not a backpacker. In Sweden it's public information if someone is in debt or has been sentenced for something. I don't know if the fundraiser is honest or not. But there's a lot of red flags and no evidence at all, some scrutiny should be required. There is a thread on a Swedish forum with more than 1200 posts about this.
  23. Show link then. I never found anything such.
