  1. Never realised prawit was a financial genius add the high cost of living / covid and the war on Ukraine banks around the world have had no choice but to raise interest rates,. Thailand already on the watch list for suspicion of manipulating the currency back in 2020,.

2yrs down the line without tourists the baht has remained strong ! Outperforming other currencies when majority expected the baht to depreciate in value,.

  2. Anybody who may be concerned with the vaccines and their adverse reactions can keep up to date with latest reports ! Coronavirus-yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk

had my first vaccine back in March Astra Zeneca ‘ few aches and pains afterwards and chills lasting several days - booked in for 2nd jab this coming Monday - seems by reports I’ve read adverse effects have been much less reported after having 2nd jab ~ was against having the vaccine but without it i won’t be able travel,. Fingers crossed as missing my family in ubon

  3. Let’s see if they can come up with a vaccine for stupidity ! Know many Thais from all different areas of Thailand, and many have put their names down for the vaccines available,. That’s all,non of them have actually had a vaccine nor do they know anybody who has had the vaccine ! ... just praying everybody gets vaccinated and the country can reopen as I’m missing my family ‘

  4. rapid antigen test (RAT), or rapid test, is a rapid diagnostic test suitable for point-of-care testing that directly detects the presence or absence of an antigen. It is commonly used for the detection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Rapid tests are a type of lateral flow tests that detect protein, distinguishing it from other medical tests that detect antibodies (antibody tests) or nucleic acid (nucleic acid tests), of either laboratory or point-of-care types. Rapid tests generally give a result in 5 to 30 minutes, require minimal training or infrastructure, and have significant cost advantages

afterwards checked how many vaccines had been handed out apparently 666,000 first dose population 90 million ? 0.8% nation  Those fully vaccinated 94,385 0.1% people with the later being the rich ! These statistics not good enough especially when cases are on the rise in Thailand and that’s enough to deter people from wanting to travel to Thailand ... other governments around the world have worked tirelessly with their national to make sure they are protected, yet again Thailand failing its people and those who live their and who pay taxes !

  5. Looks like an April the 1st joke, foreign tourists 7 days, those who have not been vaccinated 10 days and those from Africa 14 days ????‍♂️ Make no sense whatsoever and besides that, many countries will not allow their citizens to travel abroad,.specially to countries who are yet to vaccine their own people. Have a Thai friend who returned and went into quarantine few weeks back and a case was reported in the hotel they stayed at ,when asked what happened to them - all she knew was they were removed and nothing reported in the news, people just want transparency and honesty ‘ personally believe these latest remarks come after seeing that Thailand has become the worse performing country in Asia ( good news for tourists with the baht weakened )

  6. Sexy tours .... everyday when reading the local news from Thailand reminds me of a carry on movie ! High end tourists want privacy not tours in the red light districts ... arrive Bangkok 2pm arrive hotel  3.30pm maid will call service you around 4pm 6pm meet in lobby tour of the bars and agogo clubs will be followed with some adult playtime,.come week 2 everybody’s worn out ????????

  7. When you purchase a ticket it gives you the price,it also tells you airport taxes blah blah final total ! When travel Thailand always pay insurance before leaving for any hospital care i may or may not need at a cost of around £150 sterling ‘ does this mean i no longer need and can just have free care for 300 baht around £7.50 upon entry ???? I’m sure that 300 baht would cover a scrubbing brush and old pair of pjs if I’m lucky. Nice to see Thailand not lost its sense of humor - I’m sure those who work in government have run out of ink with the amount of rule changes in recent months !

  8. Special compensation if you spend 10million baht 250k sterling ???????? who's got that amount of money these days ? especially in today’s climate. I’ve been back and forth Thailand throughout the last 20yrs spending vast amounts of money like other foreign nationals who love the country,. I’ve a missus and children who i support ‘ house ‘ land & financial obligations yet I’m not considered a valuable asset,it’s people like me and others who feel undervalued and unwanted ‘ returned home in June due family crisis and cannot return due travel restrictions that have been it into place, speak with my family regular via web chat ‘ yet cannot be their in person and it hurts when my son keep asking when papa will return Stay safe people ????

  9. Another accident that could have been avoided ! Health and safety in Thailand is shocking ‘ I’ve seen women climb buildings with babies strapped to them and when i say buildings i mean skyscrapers, over the the years I’ve witnessed many road accidents and majority of the time they could have been avoided about 8yrs ago had a bad motorbike accident in Buriram as a passenger on a motorbike taxi speeding spending  about 6 weeks in hospital... taxi man wasn’t insured and got no help from the police costing me several thousand pounds,.( suppose my fault as had no insurance ) now always take out insurance  Taxi man was found to have alcohol and drugs in his system ???? these poor people were supposedly visiting a temple “. There’s plenty of signs telling you tracks ahead STOP my heart goes out to those who’ve lost loved ones as with most things in life it could have been avoided if the driver was paying attention

  10. Cost between one and two million ???????? I just want to slap him,.What about those living their 24/7 and what about those who own land and houses already  .... condos are outdated as are the government puppets ,how many families live in a condo ? Whenever I’m having a bad day,I’ll log into my account 99.9% there’s a story that amuses me

  11. You reap what you sew ~ using Phuket as a test dummy when you’ve shown contempt for foreign visitors  is rather bizarre. It’s like going into a top class restaurant and being refused simply because of the colour of your skin  .... why would you want to return ? Let’s not forget the outbursts ! Farang are dirty maybe we can test this theory by putting Indians and Chinese tourists on Phuket

  12. How refreshing not a face mask in sight .... maybe the day will start with an early morning wake up followed by prays and exercise ‘ free bowl of rice before the daily rape ritual .sleeping rough on the floor no joke the days delicacy is smoked bamboo worms rot duan. Thai prisons are a scary place, who in their right mind would want to visit one as a theme park with overnight stay costing just 150 baht a night payable to the big fella who allows you a mattress ???????? not worry mister I look after you longtime ????

  13. I’ve travelled all over thailand and never once seen a driving instructor advertising driving lessons !  I’m sure they exist, yet I’ve never seen one,. Small example car insurance around 750 baht per year ? This entitles you upto 30,000 baht cover if you die 35,000 baht .... my car insurance alone costs 40,000 baht that’s without tax another 6,000 baht. Before your passed your test in the u.k you’ve got to do x amount lessons then  a full test as well as having to complete hazard awareness courses ! Thailand seems to allow anybody to drive a car ‘ let’s face it how many people do you see on a daily basis not wearing a helmet when riding a motorbike ? 4/5 people riding a bike ... it’s got to stop nobody likes receiving news that your partner or loved one died today ..I’ve driven all round the world and can safely say thailand scares the <deleted> out of me - police should be stopping cars checking if roadworthy and if not confiscated and destroyed ... sorry but lives matter

  14. Clearly David’s parents not thinking straight,.allowing the supposedly convicted killers to live and serve out there life sentences in a thai prison is beyond me ... I’d be banging down the doors and exacting my own punishment ! Premeditated murder should always carry the death sentence.  That said I’ve my reservations about the conviction in the first instance as there’s so many discrepancies it’s scary - if held say in a European court the killers would have walked free. Thailand judicial system will always have a dark cloud hanging over them. Corruption is a big problem in Thailand therefore question marks will always remain

  15. Can’t believe what I’ve just been reading ...... 2 weeks ago was reading on the forum that upon my return would have to show a certificate that I’m virus free signed by my local doctor before travel ! Price list regards quarantine hotels is nothing short of criminal. Conrad 137,000 baht 16 days and a hotel i’ve stayed at myself, being the salil hotel on sukhamvit road ‘ cost myself 1,200 baht per night and that was just over a year ago and now they want 65,000 baht for 16 day stay ???? Good luck with that one ???????? Luckily I’m not effected as have property in ubon - besides that why would I self isolate when I’m virus free,. Had enough of isolation like most people began in March whilst in Thailand and it’s still in place today here in the u.k ... making international travel plans at the moment are impossible as many countries have restrictions in place. Add to that a world recession and you’ll quickly realize the worlds in crisis ... thailand becoming the new rip off Britain - stay safe people ????

  16. 22 new rules “ be interesting to see what changes have been imposed in the bars and on it’s owners instead of implementing stupid rule changes,. officials should be working hard at finding a solution to the problems not creating more problems,.Bars operating at 50% can not make a profit with extra costs being incurred. The mayor of Pattaya and the tourism board need to work together with hoteliers,. can see cheap package deals aplenty in the coming months .... Well once foreign travelers allowed to travel again,.won’t be anytime soon,. my biggest worry is still the baht which is ridiculous strong when 90% currency’s around the world have devalued.

Udon Thani: Former police informant robs and abducts farang's Thai wife - he's arrested in a taxi heading out of town

    Picture: Daily News

A Thai man who used to be a police informant pretended to be a cop and went to the home of a Thai woman married to a farang in Udon Thani.

There on Wednesday he cuffed and robbed her, abducted her, made her get 20,000 baht out of an ATM then dumped her by a canal.

Police in the north eastern Thai city are asking for other victims to come forward and identify the man at the police station.

Yesterday Muang Udon police arrested Suksan or Khan Kheng, 35, as he travelled along the Udon to Nong Bua Lamphu Road in a taxi. He was snared because of the GPS signal from the victim's stolen phone.

som na na you grass. Kidnapping & extorting 20,000:baht before dumping your victim by a canal ...alive she’s going to contact police “. Stupid criminal gets caught via her smartphone in a taxi. Hope he’s put into a prison we’re he grassed on other criminals who will also seek there own justice !

A famous Bangkok temple has banned foreigners from entering, citing restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, popular blogger Richard Barrow visited Wat Pho, known for its reclining Buddha statue, only to find signs erected outside which read: “ONLY THAI PEOPLE, NOW NOT OPEN FOR FOREIGNERS,” and “open for Thai people only”

No bitterness from farang I’ll take your temperature ???? thailand have a habit of shooting themselves in the foot. I’ve put it down to a poor educational system.

AirAsia new rules, passengers must wear masks at check-in, all the time on board, at luggage recovery.

Flew from ubon with Thai smile and as you say social distancing in airports and aboard the airline itself excellent service..... felt safe and will use again
