Nope. They can't cross reference your fingerprints taken at immigration with records in your country.
That would require a specific request by the Thai authorities to the authorities in your country.
Interesting. Maybe that’s why crime is on the up here in Thailand Maybe they should do more “especially with perverts who abuse children as a small example !

Thailand really needs to start screening foreigners properly before entering the country. There are far too many cases like this. The other week it was that nutcase from Northern Ireland who butchered that poor girl to death Pattaya and now this...
The fact is, pretty much anyone one with a criminal background can so easily enter this country. Peado's, rapists, murderers, drugs dealers, con artists, you name it there are loads of them out here.
When I arrived here in Thailand in February my fingerprints were taken so screening is taking place,. Sadly if your not a wanted man I’m presuming your not going to get arrested,. However with the finger prints being taken and computers widely available I’m sure the Thai authorities know if you have a criminal record. When younger was convicted of drugs ! It’s on my record so I’m not allowed into America .. many people who arrive on long stays have to apply for visas in there own country before traveling ‘ those who arrive for say 30 days are not going through any Chanel’s which in my eyes make it difficult for authorities to refuse you entry.

Picture from macro which many businesses use ... social distancing a bigger problem than people purchasing alcohol / now it’s being limited to how many bottles you can purchase ! Monday - Friday one bottle a day if your good two bottles at weekends
-
main issues not being sorted “. Businesses closing down and schools still on lockdown and whilst all this happening the baht still remains strong !
-
Out of the people illegally congregating 60% were caught drinking alcohol, 21% were gambling and 11% were doing drugs.
-
makes you wonder what the other 8% were doing ? Imprisonment and the possibility 40,000 baht fine,. Sounds extreme under the circumstances ! If you can’t keep order in your own home then please don’t expect farang to show you how to behave ???????? -
Pim clearly confused as she’s 42 sorry 46 and didn’t get a receipt top matters off worse the old bill charged them 2,000 for a lift home - seems there’s one born every minute ????????

Arrived on s.e.t.v which allows myself 90 days in the kingdom arrived February 26th - supposed to have renewed my visa 25th April ( office closed in ubon ) rang them on the 30th April after reading reports that tourist visa’s would automatically renew until July 31st... was told no problem just enjoy your holiday ! Wasn’t asked for my name or my address and certainly wasn’t asked to write a letter confirming my address was the same as when reporting to immigration 24hrs after arrival back in February.
-
let’s hope when i eventually leave I’m not charged for overstay and banned from future visits to the kingdom !

I don't see what Transferwise has to do with any bank card. I just transfer from one account to the other, no cards involved.
Personally thought using my debit card would be quicker mate sadly bank stopped transaction in turn cancelled card as it was first transaction ( fraud notified - reactivated my card after ringing u.k bank. Resent with HIFX. Will know better next time ????
-
personally been using HIFX for over a year now,.it’s a free service however transactions usually takes about 2 days once funds leave your u.k bank account. Because of the waiting times tried transferwise unfortunately for myself / transaction denied and my card stopped ! Had to contact my bank in the u.k and because was trying use a service hadn’t used before they thought fraud... regardless same recipient as use with HIFX. Luckily card reactivated again / didn’t want same hassle so I’m just using HIFX as I’m also here in Thailand a.t.m wouldn’t use western union - low rates and charges although do receive money same day !

Always tattoos
What’s wrong with tattoos ? I’m covered in them and I’ve never killed anybody nor do I want too unless it’s necessary !

finally some common sense seems to have prevailed “. Managed to purchase a few cases of Leo beer only yesterday at 750 baht a case from some local businessman driving through the village. Lockdown hasn’t been a issue for myself as it’s allowed me to sort stuff out at the house,. Must admit without beer it’s been tough stay safe people “.

yaba is a dangerous drug remember 4/5yrs ago a friend of mine took the drug for the first time and he said he lost 2 whole days and couldn’t remember a single thing ! Luckily he didn’t murder anybody ( apparently it’s a very addictive drug ) watched documentary on the problems it causes Thailand on channel 4 drugs aside the poor lady deserved better ! As far as I’m concerned the man in question deserves the death penalty R.I.P onn Thoughts with your family in this difficult time ????

Nearest i get to alcohol is washing my hands,. had enough of this stupid alcohol ban,. Only Thailand has banned consumption of alcohol and as soon as I can get a flight back to the u.k I’m gone ! Already climbing the walls and thought would be able to purchase on the 1st and 2nd of may before ban put back into place.....
-
2 day sanction when you can purchase as much alcohol as you want and receive a free pack of toilet roll.
-
I understand the curfew yet totally disagree with the way it’s being handled by the government. Talk of lockdown for another month will result in a baby boom here in Thailand !
-
IMF was monitoring Thailand although they broke several laws nothing was done. Remember reading a article last year when the BOT explained they had the insight to purchase millions of dollars safeguarding the baht. Another factor is foreigners who’ve opened businesses ex pats living here have all put plenty into BOT better returns and in turn it’s allowed Thailand the freedom of moving money around to safeguard the baht. It’s that old adage,.if we all went to the bank tomorrow and withdrawn our money the banks they wouldn’t have the necessary funds available. That said with all the issues we’ve faced in the past months with covid19 & tourism losing billions along with businesses closing the baht has remained strong ! Sadly I’m not a economics expert and don’t have the answers as i thought the baht would have weakened well before now as I’ve seen it as high as 72 and as low as 36

There are no restrictions in travelling to the UK and no quarantine requirements when you arrive and no screening when you arrive.
That’s interesting mate as my mother said in a recent phone call that when arriving back home to the u.k i would be going into quarantine for 14 days ‘ asked her why and she said that’s the local reports coming from Downing Street - on this occasion hope your right and mum wrong ????
-
Ready to resume business as normal “. Would say that’s good news for those wanting to leave and those returning home ! No mention of going into quarantine for 14 days ? Can’t see many tourists arriving as sanctions still in place in there own country,. Have Thailand found a Miracle cure overnight ? According to the British embassy in today’s memo flights are still suspended - with only Eva air operating 3 times a week !

Barber shops please.
Couldn’t find a barbers myself so invested in a trimmer from Mr DIY in ubon,. I’m lucky that I’m at that age when a crew cut works well only 500 baht,.cheaper ones for about 300 baht but not cordless????
-
Clearly not enough being done in the u.k “. Understand people who are arriving back in the u.k are put into quarantine for 14 days before being allowed back to there own homes. Interesting point regarding care homes ! In wales there’s not enough being done with one care home losing 47 people in a month - report can be found on wales online ! frightening statistics as all care homes across England and Wales should be tested regardless of cost.

You can forget about lifting restrictions ‘ today visited immigration tested 37.5 20min later visited Big c tested 36.1 next door went into 7/11 tested 33.4 clearly testing your temp inadequate ! How many times are the batteries being replaced ? Today’s the first time I’ve left the house in over 3 weeks ( clearly Thailand a hot nation ) reading earlier reports in France says those who smoke are less likely to contract the virus ! Don’t know who to believe and until a cure is found we’re all in the same boat
-
Usually use Thai smile from ubon “ currently closed until end month ! approached nok air couple weeks back and they wanted 3,700 baht for old airport and by the time arrive and travel to the new airport suvarnabhumi would have missed the flight so decided wait. Flights with Eva air 21,000 baht direct back to the u.k economy class. sadly there currently operating 3 days a week Tuesday,Friday,Sunday original flight booked for the 21st being a Thursday. If covid19 sanctions remain in place then it will be interesting if they honor original flight or they recharge me a further 21,000 baht and I’ll leave on the 22nd may.
-
I’ve always used HIFX however it takes about 4/5 days for money to arrive,. Will now look to use TransferWise .... downloaded app from App Store can either collect cash from 3 banks or have it transferred into your Thai account - sounds a very good service been in operation since 2010 ???? thank you for those who’ve recommended this service,. will try using when need more money sent
-
Thailand either have short memory’s or are simply beyond help ! Next you’ll be telling me we can fly to the moon with Thai airways total incompetence by Thailand .... no wonder the education system failing millions when the government cannot count past A.B.C plan A fails no plan B and as for C it ends with T

Excellent interview with the doctors ! However with only 100,000 people being tested it leaves a lot to be desired - now they can test 20,000 per day ( overall population 90 million ) still small % being tested.... reason for this cost 2,000 baht per person.
-Believe with these small test cases ‘ then allowing free movement again in provinces,.we may then see a surge of the virus spreading on a much larger scale ( hope I’m wrong ) it’s a difficult situation and I’m no expert. Stay safe people ????
Public opinion sought on relaxation of lockdown measures and curfew

Since when has public opinion counted in Thailand ? Authorities make the law up as they go along,. Curfew certainly needs lifting 10pm is ridiculous ~ restaurant’s now started opening but cannot serve alcohol with food ! Bangkok have screens in the middle of tables ( common sense needs to be applied ) barber shops closing every couple of hours - cleaning with sanitizer before allowing customers back inside “ several look as though there handling toxic waste ???????? I’m all for changes and it would be nice to take the family out and start enjoying life again,.
