One key factor you really should confirm is will the policy cover you in case you test positive and have no symptoms and get quarantined (asymptomatic coverage) many policies offer covid coverage but only if medically necessary with symptoms. Axa and a few others cover you for Asymptomatic quarantind but many don't and that's not a surprise you want to get

I believe the issue revolves around the certificate statement supplied be the insurer must state specifically that the policy covers you in thailand for covid at the appropriate dollar amounts. If it does not have that langue specifically it won't be accepted. Also you need to confirm direct with the Insurer they cover asyptomatic quarantine. Try AXA insurance.

Overstay after positive PCR fit to fly test
Dan O replied to feasantplukka's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Or people should plan ahead and be prepared for testing positive and all that comes with it. Traveling during a worldwide pandemic and then acting surprised if something goes wrong is there own choice\fault. None of the testing or qurantine practices are a secret, it's all been in the news and media for over a year. granted immigration should not charge overstay that is specifically related to qurantine issue and I think you'll probably see that change quickly. -
That's because it does not open and start again until Feb 1. That's the starting date to register

Smart travelers will still buy Covid insurance that covers asymptomatic quarantine if testing positive as the new variant seems to have fewer symptoms. The 50k health insurance won't cover it so you may consider staying with a higher 100k Covid insurance and not risk the cash outlay should you test positive without symptoms. Just my opinion

Solar powered water pump system
Dan O replied to Dan O's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
No we have the digital meter. I think that diy system thread was the one I saw but can't find it. I'll shoot him a message on it. I'm in Nakhon Si Thammarat so we have pretty good sun for most of the year so a grid tie in should work, I'm just not knowledgeable enough (and lazy if someone else did it) to spec it out -
Solar powered water pump system
Dan O replied to Dan O's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
I have 3 ponds, each is 75' x 25' x 6' so it's a bunch of gallons in total, over 200,000. I have catfish, tilapia and koi. Luckily I'm pushing the water horizontal the 100 feet other than the pull from the pond is 3 feet deep. Yeah I've experimented with the run times but to keep the cycle flowing thru the 3 ponds (there interconnected) it's tough due to the number of fish. 24/7 has been optimum run time to maintain clear water as these are for commercial sale. -
OK, this isn't my area of expertise and I cant find a post I saw a while back so I'm looking for info, direction on installing a solar powered water pump system. It's for a water filtration system I'm made for my 3 fish ponds. Currently I'm running a 220v 1 hp centrifuge pump that pulls water from the lower pond about 100 ft to the filtration system. It's basically fling a 50 gallon drum and then gravity takes over to filter and return the water thru 2 additional 50 gallon drums. I could probably go smaller like 1/2 hp pump, I just happen to have the current one. It's costing me about 2400 baht a month just to run that 1 pump 24/7 so that's the reason to explore solar power. Ideas suggestions are all welcome

Thailand said it at the begining when they first gave this option and it was valid as most travel had come to halt worldwide. Currently there are only a couple countries that are restricting entry. Most complainers are just milking the system, especially with the whole land border being closed excuse. Those are just border bounces also sidestepping correct visas for the most part. Not many countries allow that type of approach in order to stay in a country

shower heater liters per min water flow questions
Dan O replied to flipper2222222's topic in DIY Forum
The main issue at hand is the restrictors are sized to handle a specific amount of flow in order to heat the water properly as they have a very small capacity tank internal. Getting a larger heater is the appropriate approach after you've determined how much flow and temp you want or need. the numbers posted as part if the test done are fairly significant already although at what temp??? You have generally a flow restrict at the base of the heater where the flex tubing connects and you may also have a flow restrictor inside the hand held shower head that can often be removed
