  1. Unfortunately for him it is a one-way love affair. He might love Thailand but Thailand does not love him. In an ironic sort of way it is a typical bar-girl analogy.
  2. If you are a night owl then the 8am beer might be the last for the day before bed. Nothing wrong with that.
  3. Did you know that chains can be detached with the use of a rubber band? 1. Open door but has chain stopping you going in. 2. Attach rubber band between chain and door handle using the gap between door and frame. 3. Close door and let rubber band do its thing. 4. Open door again. Look! No chain. Sometimes you may need duct tape. Sometimes a long length of knotted cord will do the trick. The solid latching types are also easily defeated. There are plenty of YouTube videos that show you how.
  4. Their list of things they "can" do... 1. Create a list of things they "cannot" do. 2. See #1
  5. 3246 days is from when he first arrived in Thailand. The overstay if calculated from when he had to leave is 2884 days. Still a substantial amount of forgetfulness.
  6. It would have been a better photo if the four cops held AK47s across their chests. I wonder where they found the nice blue table cloth.
  7. Looking at the photo, it seems that the iPhone 13 still works after having been in the khlong for a while.
  8. Nah, they will just be required to wear a mask. Oh wait... hang on... never mind.
  9. He is a hotel owner, operator, and investor with a portfolio of 536 hotels under the Anantara, AVANI, Oaks, Tivoli, NH Collection, NH Hotels, nhow, Elewana, and Minor International brands in 55 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and South and North America. MINT is also one of Asia’s largest restaurant companies, with over 2,200 outlets system-wide in 26 countries under The Pizza Company, The Coffee Club, Riverside, Benihana, Thai Express, Bonchon, Swensen’s, Sizzler, Dairy Queen, and Burger King brands. 10. Google "young girl wears inappropriate t-shirt" and look at the images (should be safe for work LOL) There are so many T-shirts that really should NOT be worn by kids.
  11. There are websites dedicated to that sort of humorous error. For example, https://www.engrish.com/
  12. The Austrian offender could have been an Asian immigrant to Austria making it a perfect score. ????
  13. Chilies is the wrong type of hot for mustard. Hot mustard is more like Japanese wasabi. Rather than the burning sensation of chilies, it is a blast the back of your head off sensation.
  14. I just tried a little out of my Masterfoods jar and it is still pretty hot, even though it is more than a year past its "Best By" date. I remember it blasting the back of my head off when it was new. Probably time to replace the old jar with a new one.
  15. Is this the level of quality you get from a super expensive car?
  16. He will be lucky to come back as a cockroach in the next dozen lives. Karma -1 million.
  17. If I had a lot more money, I doubt I would change my lifestyle too much. My kids would just get more when I die. Perhaps get a new car to replace my 22 year old Ford. Maybe move to a more luxurious apartment on a very high floor, but I like where I live and know all the neighbors. In a high-rise you know nobody. I do enjoy the views you get from a 70th floor window. Maybe eat out more often but I am lazy to go out, and enjoy cooking. However, I would probably buy much better quality wines instead of the cheap ones I drink now. Travel? I have been to 30 more countries and to be honest, most places end up looking the same after a while. Probably me becoming jaded or bored with travel. Health? I would start buying private health insurance so I don't have to rely on the free public system. I can already afford it but am too stingy. Yacht? Ferrari? Helicopter? Big mansion? Other luxury items? Not interested. I am practical and no need to show off my wealth. My kids will already inherit more than enough to make them more comfortable in life, unless I decide to splurge and spend my assets. ????
  18. Many older men in the UK or USA can only dream of short times with 30 year old MILFs. Some are lucky. Most are not. We have it really good here in Thailand.
  19. Jetstar cancelled my 3rd September flight back to Melbourne the night before I was flying out. Offered a replacement flight but none were available until September 15th, 6 days after my Thai permission to stay expired. So off to immigration to pay 1900 baht for a 30 day extension. Now I can stay until October 9th but the latest replacement flight is 24th September. Oh well, 2 extra weeks is better than nothing. Might as well make the best of it. ????
  20. I just got a 30 day extension on a 6 month METV in Bangkok today and there was no mention of a TM30. My condo address was on the form not a hotel so I was a bit worried they might ask for it.
  21. I just got a 30 day extension in Bangkok today and there was no mention of a TM30. My condo address was on the form not a hotel so I was a bit worried they might ask for it. All I needed was a filled out form with recent photo, and an ORIGINAL SIZE photocopy of my passport photo pages and visa/entry stamp pages. Also had to fill out a couple of statutory declaration style forms saying I knew the penalties for overstaying, etc.
