I think a thumbs-down icon would be used more than any, but sadly missing.
For such a long time I wished there was an "angry" button, also missing. It seems that only positive icons are allowed. Keep the people happy if they like it or not.

So, what are they going to do then? Let them sleep over in the bar?
Perhaps let them sleep it off in one of the upstairs rooms, and send an employee up with them to take care of them for the night..

I avoid all these complications and risks by always leaving a couple of days before my permitted stay expires. I know I could have an extra day or two in Thailand but I would rather just not take the risk of a cancelled or delayed flight, or even something unlikely like an accident on the way to the airport.
Â
Last year my flight got cancelled and I could not get a replacement flight till about a week after my permission expired. I was lucky because I still had a couple of days left on my Passport stamp so I could go to Immigration and get a 30 day extension. If I cut it too fine and was already on overstay because of the cancelled flight I don't know what the consequences would have been for me, especially if was unlucky enough to be checked by police on the street.
Â
I prefer to be safe than sorry.

Orcs will be orcs. Lucky these quality tourists now have 90 days of visa free access to Thailand unlike the rest of the rabble who only qualify for 30 days.

HINT: If your English isn't good, try using Google Translate.

I have started using the Bard AI web page for Thai<->English translations because they seem much better than the weird translations provided by Google. Bard also makes changes to the translation to make it more natural-sounding and accurate.

Congratulations on reaching old age without needing filling. You obviously took good care of your teeth over a lifetime.
Â
I have had many fillings since my youth and some of them came out and caused problems after a couple of decades or longer. If you are already in your 70s for example, chances are your new fillings will outlive you.

Go to a dentist and get an expert opinion.

I'm still a Gillette Mach3 man myself. A while ago I bought some blades through Amazon. They were not particularly cheap so I thought I'd give them a try assuming they would be "the real deal". Luckily, only bought one small pack to try them out. After my first shave I looked like I'd had a face massage from Edward Scissorhands. Rest went in the bin. Back to my usual source at an exorbitant price.Â
Â
I use the Fusion 5 blades. They seem to be good for at least 6 months each before I start noticing the blade getting dull. Hmmm. Now that I think about it, at 6 months a blade (6 packs each 4 blades) I probably have about 12 years worth in the drawer. Then it will be time to grow a beard.

The razor blades with an obvious hole and one missing but the same price.
A year ago my local supermarket had the wrong price on the razor blades I usually buy. They are usually around $29.95 for a pack of 4 but these were priced at $9.95 so I think someone accidentally dropped the leading '2' in the computer system. Anyway, I bought all the packets on the shelf and now I have a supply of cheap blades for the next 5 years. They don't even have a used by date.

45 year old hookers are charging the same as they did 20 years ago, when they were 25... Some of them, even more.

That's criminal.

At least they weigh much more than before unlike potato chip packets and chocolate bars.

I looked around to inspect my surrounding and realised at that point that the back wall of the very large operating theatre was lined with about 20 student nurses that had been brought in to observe a real live operation, and by default my bum!

I don't mind ladies looking at my bum as long as I can look at theirs in return.

Same with women using their phone NOT on their ear but on speaker. If too loud/long then I just speak - in direction of the phone - "stop this telephone call and come back to bed". Works wonders - their facial expressions are absolutely fantastic!
Â
That is brilliant. I cannot stop laughing.

There is your answer. Money is the most important thing for Thailand. People don't matter.

Is that guy in the photo a member of the All Blacks?
-
He has a YouTube channel and the article gives his full name. It takes 30 seconds to find his "over-complicated butter chicken" video and see his face. Why do they bother to blur it in the photos in the article?

Horrifying crime ... nobody knows the personal circumstances that led up to this murder.

Â
I read in the Spanish news that he was in a homosexual relationship with the guy he murdered but was actually heterosexual and just in it for the money. When the "chef" got bored and tried to get out of the relationship the doctor blackmailed him and threatened to tell his family if he did not stay. So instead of just saying "I don't care, tell them" he decided murder was the answer. Too bad for both of them that they could not sort out their little differences like gentlemen.

I am not afraid of death but would be very disappointed if it came too soon because I am really enjoying my life now. But then again, it would be hard to be disappointed if I am dead so in the end it does not matter. Perhaps my Thai wife might be disappointed, although with her inheritance she might be somewhat happy.

Â
If riding a motorbike, only do so if you have many years of experience. Especially on the southern islands, where huge numbers of foreigners leave Thailand in a wooden box. Wear the best helmet you can afford. And drive like a grandmother. This applies to ex-pats too. Bring along an international drivers license. This helps you to avoid being fleeced by the local police franchisee.
Â
Getting on a scooter, or a motorcycle anywhere in Thailand, much less Phuket, Phangan, Dark Tao, or Samui without a very good helmet, is like playing Russian Roulette with three or four bullets in the chamber. It is absolutely asking for problems. The degree of recklessness here is astounding. And many foreigners come here thinking "how much trouble could I get in on a little scooter, on a tropical island"? Well, the answer is alot. The amount of foreigners who are killed on the Southern islands is staggering. Most are not reported in the media. I had a friend who worked for Samui rescue for many years, and said the numbers were about 30-60 a month, on Samui, Phangan and Koh Tao. The official number is about 3 a month. Rider beware. Use as good a helmet as you can afford, and do not use these eggshells pieces of crap. They crack at the first impact, and what lies underneath them? Your skull, which is very delicate.
Â
I have been riding bikes for 52 years. Without any serious accidents. A few minor ones over the years. Riding a bike here is very dangerous. If not the highest, one of the highest fatality rates in the world. And an accident here can be very costly, to your person. Just ask yourself- do I have enough problems already, without a broken skull, or smashed head, or face injury, or lost eye? I have three friends who have been in motorbike accidents on Samui within the last several years. One still cannot walk, or talk or function on her own, from a motorbike accident, where she hit her head on the pavement going only 20 kph. The other one has lost alot of his mental capacity after hitting his head. He insisted for years he would never wear a helmet. Now, he seems 15 years older. The third one is a close friend, who was hit by a sidecar, and nearly lost his leg. 11 operations later, he can walk, but with a limp, and the leg caused him constant problems, many years later.Â
Â
Â
The only motorbikes I ever ride in Thailand are the Bangkok motorbike taxis, and then it is only for short SLOW rides where it feels relatively safe(ish). One time I went from Asoke to Din Daeng on the back of a motorbike taxi doing 80kph and felt a mixture or terror and thrill the whole trip. But I would NEVER do that again.

The point Bantex was making was that the image shown in the aseannow clickbait photo is wrong. I wonder what the actual engine in this actual aircraft in this article looked like.
