I am absolutely disgusted with Thailand sleazing up to two of the worst dictatorships on the planet, ruzzia and China. Money seems to beat morailty with Thais.

I only watch YouTube on my PC because trying to watch YouTube videos on my Android phone is infuriating. Not only the many ads but also the mutation they call a user interface on their phone version. No ads on my PC because of FireFox and the AdBlock Plus addon. I also download many videos using 4KDownloader if I think I ever want to watch them again, such as my favourite music videos.
If on the rare occasion I want to watch YouTube videos on my TV or home theatre, I just use my PC as the internet connection and local area Wi-Fi to connect to the TV or projector, no ads.

I love Studio Ghibli animes.
I have so many movies that I rarely have time to watch any of them more than once. Exceptions are Blade Runner (original) and The Matrix (first one only). There are a few others I would watch again if I had the time.

As soon as I saw Tik-Tok in the title I though here comes another idiot. Sure enough, arguing over 300 baht (US$8) which he did not even have to pay. What an cheapskate. Go back home to the US where a typical taxi ride costs $30-$40.

Not just public areas, but the bathroom in my condo in Bangkok also has very slippery floor tiles. I am always very careful, step out carefully and hang on tightly to a support when leaving the shower.

Looks like a good movie. Must keep an eye out for it when it becomes available online.

I broke my Thai wife's heart the other day when I would not pay for that new handbag she had her heart set on.
But I repaired her poor damaged heart the following week when I paid for a much, much cheaper handbag which she also loved.
All good again on the home front.

Maybe. Where else have you read of the morally bankrupt savages descending? And I don't understand your comment that people want to quickly inform a relative's death as a 'strange thing'. I think it happens everywhere. Not just Thailand.
There are morally bankrupt savages everywhere. My step-mother died from covid in Hungary in November 2020 and I was the sole beneficiary in her will because my father had died previously and I was his only son. She even told me several times she did not want her "blood sucking relatives" (her words) to get anything. When she died her cousins who were not mentioned in her will entered her apartment, found the will and destroyed it. I only had a photocopy which was not sufficient under Hungarian law to be valid. So she effectively died without a will and because I was only a step-son and they were the nearest blood relatives, those blood sucking vultures got her apartment worth around $400,000. The big mistake my step-mother made was not to store her will with her lawyer. Never keep the original at home.

Actually, that was not the intended meaning of Section 12 [8] (though you are right that Immigration could try to twist the reason if they had evidence you engaged loose ladies). The intention was to deny entry to prostitutes, themselves, and traffickers.
My comment was kind of tongue-in-cheek hence the emojis. Obviously there is no way an IO would know of a person's intention to visit those places.

The IO has done their job when they stamp you in, or deny you entry subject to one of the legitimate reasons listed in Section 12 of the Immigration Act.

This might apply to many gentlemen who come to Thailand to enjoy the facilities offered by Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy or certain streets in Pattaya. ????

God forbid the current Thai Government who openly state they want more tourists, that they make it easier, must have a visas, hike the prices of visiting tourist attractions, tout, entry or exit fee. Then complain not enough coming.
Only here in the Land of Incompetence and stupidity coupled with open corruption can you see this happening and they want tourists...Really where certainly NOT HERE unless there is a buck to be made
I suspect they are mainly aiming for the gullible Chinese and the desperate ruzzians. Maybe Indians still.

No matter how lightly Thailand deals with short overstays it is the unknown problems getting visas and entries to other countries that is the best reason not to blithely overstay in Thailand.
One of the questions asked when applying for any Australian visa is if you have ever overstayed in any country. If you answer yes then there is a risk you may not get your visa.

Have you noticed the swimming pool areas of these new mega condo with 1000+ units have about 10 pool chairs. You will have to get up early to catch one.
Our condo has 480 units and 6 chairs near the 25 metre rooftop pool. Usually when I go up around sunset there are 6 empty chairs and noone in the water. There does not seem to be a rush by residents to use the pool at that time. Maybe they are there at other times. It's nice to have the pool all to myself. Makes it feel like my own private penthouse area. ????

Not much different to Australia where we allow short-stay foreigners to work as fruit pickers because Australians don't want to do that work especially for the low wages offered.

For me, a short flight to Phnom Penh and back was better than a land border crossing after a long minibus ride. It might be a little more expensive than a domestic flight plus bus ride, but for me it was more comfortable. I would also spend a few days holiday in Cambodia rather than just doing a one day border hop. But even flying out and back in too often you risk getting questioned by Thai IO when returning. I got pulled over for 30 minutes of questioning the last time I returned with my Thai partner from Cambodia just before covid arrived. Too many 6 month METV's he said. Get a proper visa he said. Get married he said. I asked the young IO if he was married. He said no way and let me through.

This Thai girl I once knew asked if I could come and help her move her things out of a room in Bang Na. I agreed and got into a pickup with her, a couple of her girlfriends and this young heavily tattooed Thai guy who was driving. I overheard some of the conversation about how she was frightened for her life because her Thai BF was threatening to kill her if she left. Now I was wondering why the hell I was with them in the car. I asked the driver what happens if the girl's BF shows up and he just grinned and pulled out a gun from the central console. "No worries, I stand guard" he said. It was a tense morning and luckily the BF did not show up. I decided not to see that girl again.
