Don't forget the electronic tag so the government can see if people are grouping together ....................LOL
The tags are only for Doom mongers who post on Thai Visa, or arrivals who pretend they don’t have a smart phone

Surprisingly you are correct, 4 star hotels for 400 baht, simply insane
Why were you surprised, or do you believe all the Doom mongers on here
I’ve completed 1 ASQ and 1 ALQ and I’m now recognized as an SME on this Subject, Phuket will open Tourists will come, Expats and Thais will also use this entry system
I personally believe it’s too early, but the country has to try this in case the high season gets some sort of bounce back with tourists
Cases will rise however and it will change Monday 19th July

It seems the Thais want to take it to another level and be more direct with a wrist band solely for GPS tracking. However you are correct in that we are indirectly tracked by our phones, smart watches, smart TV's, laptops, ipads, our cars, etc.
My point is related to various applications required now worldwide for checking in to places for example Thai Chana Morchana, where I work we have an tracking app linked to your location, resident ID, PCR tests and it also shows your vaccination records.
Tracking technology will become normal. And I don’t mean concealed or veiled tracking, its full on visible “you are being tracked’
We will protest about it, but eventually accept it, we will always find ways around it.
We have to wear a tracking watch for 1st 10 days when we are in the country even though we’re vaccinated, the watch can only be removed at government centre.

This is a very poorly planned idea. Few tourists are going to come to Phuket knowing that they are going to be GPS monitored (and who knows what else) during their stay on Phuket during the 14 day quarantine. Tourists will cancel their plans and seek another holiday destination that is less restrictive.
Where in the so called free world are we NOT monitored with GPS tracking

Thailand has to start the recovery somewhere; for some people it will never be the right time
Phuket is a good option for this experiment.

You forgot 14 days in a government approved hotel, ie ASQ ie expansive hotels only

So:
HOW can a so-called „SHA manager“ in a hotel
(who is essentially an employee, not hiding fast enough, when they were looking for volunteers)
find out, that you switched off the share location permission
.. and then inform the „relevant“ authorities ???
they won't care, it was same for ASQ as long as you waive your phone thats enough
or even show a screen shot with the QR code,
During my previous visit to LOS I activated the tracking application linked to your COE
So I can show them that and they wont know

I’ve completed 1 ASQ and 1 ALQ, anything is better than those.

They really don't have a clue how Westerners think, or how this tracking bracelet will be received.
I can see people arriving in Thailand and blankly refusing to wear them.
We don't like authoritarianism and this action exemplifies it.

you will need to agree to ALL measures before boarding, you CANNOT refuse

What’s the point of being fully vaccinated if you still need to be in quarantine? Where is the logic…
are you really asking this?

They don't want the tourists , do you understand it or not? They make you believe that they want to reopen, but in reality they aim to destroy the whole economy.
It's a global project that only a very few countries are rebelling against it, which coincidentally are on the black list of the international community.
please tell me more about this Global project and plan to destroy the whole economy,

At my current location we have to wear a wrist tracking device for 10 days when we arrive, even if we’ve been vaccinated, so it’s not a new idea
For tourists,
I cannot imagine anyone coming to Thailand for a vacation right now, it’s not about the measures it’s about the situation with the pandemic. Traveling to another country for a vacation is totally irresponsible, people wanting to go because they need a break should be locked up when they return home.
Thailand has to restart the tourism income somehow, this scheme will give them a good idea about the winter months, so it’s a good test(Bubble or Sandbox)

How can you compare what you are willing to do for work to what Thailand expects us to do for a holiday?
I’m comparing Thailand’s current entry regulations to other countries
What’s wrong with that, its real world and its happening NOW.
For example, what are the current rules and regulations for Australia, are they BETTER than Thailand, go on tell us, explain why Thailand is waaaaaay behind Australia with attracting tourists and visitors.

and you are going to be tracked by GPS app on your phone or wristband.
story on website we are not allowed to link to.
You MUST agree to download the Thai Plus application when you apple for your COE, you then have to add your COE number to the Application and scan QR code at immigration arrival at Airport. its been in use sine March april I think
and during your stay you're supposed to use this application when you go anywhere, its same as Thai Chana and Mor Chana but for Tourists who have an COE

Latest is in addition to the phone tracking app, you must also wear a GPS wristband and there are now facial recognition cameras installed all over
Welcome to 21st century Alcatraz
(Not allowed to quote source)
where i work, we have to wear a tracking watch for 1st 5 days, and stay in a locked hotel room for 10 dasys, we are tested arrival at airport and then day 4.& 10
we are also tested every 7 days no matter how long you are in the country, so last year I was tested 26 times.
So Thailand Sandbox is waaaaaay better, why don't people understand this has to START somewhere/somehow,
I've booked a SHA+ hotel for 6,644 for 14 nights,
-
I’m sooo looking forward to this Sandbox
1. I’ve never been to Phuket
2. My wife has never been also, so she’ll fly in domestically from BKK
3. I’ve completed 1 ASQ in Bangkok and it was tough going
4. I’ve also completed 1 ALQ in Pattaya North road, that seemed tougher than the previous in Bangkok
5. The idea of being allowed outside of your room is great, restaurants will be open, it won’t be full on High season but places are open, plenty of tea being served in pots
6. I wonder how many posters on here have actually completed an ASQ-ALQ, if they have how would they compare the sandbox idea compred to ASQ-ALQ
7. The 14 days is too long, but hey ho, some of my work colleagues won’t be home for 8-12 months, their so jealous of me going to Phuket.

Well, you can book a SHA plus hotel on Agoda and that should be okay and also you don't need to pay directly when booking threw Agoda.
you can booking anything you like on AGODA or Booking or Any other website, you can also book flights right now today, no problem.
But if you want an COE you'll need to have a SHAPLUSBA ????

In other words accommodation in own house/family house in Phuket (or wherever the sandbox idea is instituted )is not allowed.
Not fair.
A confirmation of booking in a SHA Plus-certified accommodation establishment. ONLY
or
tell your Family or friends to get SHA Plus-certified then you can stay there.

I see your point about annual renewal costs, have you set a limit to your insurance pot, 2-5-10-15 million THB
If you started saving since 64, now 74 that’s 120 months, with a pot of 2m that 16k per month, or 200k thb per year,
surely annual insurance is cheaper than 200k per year
