    It was Russian financial institutions that got sanctioned, and rightly so. Ordinary people suffer because of the actions of their government. I myself had to leave Russia long time ago because I don't wanna bear the risks associated with living in Russia and keeping my money there. And now I understand how right I was!

    You don't have a clue. Euroclear froze the assets of Russian financial institutions, all according to official sanctions. They don't even work with private customers, only institutions.

    Complete nonsense. They confiscated (froze, to be exact) only property of sanctioned individuals. I have Russian friends living and working in Europe and US, nobody confiscated anything from them.

    Hahaha in Russia they confiscate your assets and put you in jail if you publicly say anything against the war. Freedom of speech, private property? Forget about it in Putin's Russia. And I am Russian, I know this first hand

    Not gonna happen. In Putin's circle, all they care about is money. They don't need this war, they all want their children to live in Europe and the US, they buy properties there, open bank accounts. When Putin dies, they all will be happy to get all this back and the war will be over.

    I meet lots of westerners who express sympathetic views on Putin's war in Ukraine. Basically they repeat the Russian propaganda points about Putin's having no other choice, NATO expansion, Nazism in Ukraine, threat to Russia, etc. Many say that if they were in Putin's shoes, they would do the same. That's why I need this poll, to see if that is a common thread among westerners or it was just me meeting individuals with unconventional views.

    All the visas and stamps that I got over the 4 years were completely legit. It's been around 30 visas/stamps in total

    I'm talking about food from supermarkets. It's definitely more expensive. If you eat crappy street food, maybe it's cheaper. Unless they don't scam and overcharge you, as they like to do with stupid foreigners haha

    A lot of goods in Vietnam are imported from Thailand. How can they be cheaper??

    When I was in Vietnam before covid, it was already more expensive than Thailand (except booze and cigarettes of course). Food in supermarkets is easily 50% more expensive. Fish, fruit, juice, milk etc. Clothes, electronics are more expensive too.
