  1. If you came on a tourist visa or visa exempt, you are considered a tourist for all legal and formal purposes, regardless of how long you've stayed in Thailand.
  2. The legal/formal definition of tourist in Thailand is the one who's coming on a tourist visa or visa exempt.
  3. What's wrong with On Nut? It's a good area, lots of malls, supermarkets. A lot of expats stay there.
  4. Have you tried dating courses? Thailand is one of the easiest countries in the world to find a date. I think you're doing something awfully wrong or your approach is wrong. I have a friend who in his 50s was able to get a 18yo long-term girlfriend (not a prostitute, not a bar girl). Of course, she's not HiSo, but that would be impossible even in Thailand.
  5. The question why God created illnesses and death has been asked for millennia and answered by theologists a zillion times.
  6. When denying someone entry, they need to specify a reason, e.g. insufficient funds. This reason will be stated in the documents.
  7. You need to stand your ground whether you enter by air or by land. They tried to give me sh*t everywhere. If I didn't stay my ground, I wouldn't be in Thailand right now.
  8. It is applicable as they enter by air. Entries by air are unlimited for all visa exempt countries.
  9. Yep, this the book store I'm talking about.
  10. Left side, if you walk from Soi Buakhao, near the beginning.
  11. Guys, can you clarify this thing: Do you need to pay for a Myanmar visa? Or you just pay $10 for a border pass and that's it?
  12. You don't know Soi Pothole?
  13. There is a second hand book store in Soi Pothole, near Soi Buakhao.
  14. I'm not sure it will be helpful to others as not everyone is privileged to have a Russian passport which allows unlimited land border entries.
  15. I've been in Thailand 3+ years as a "tourist". They fact that they didn't kick me out means one of two things: (1) Either it's not so easy to kick someone out and they don't wanna take the trouble or (2) they're okay about my being here 3 years as a "tourist" as long as I don't work here or do anything illegal.
  16. What does "in a row" mean? If you left for one day and returned, is it considered "in a row"?
  17. Yes, it's called falsifying the evidence and is a crime. They can do that, but what if you file a complaint and they get caught? Big Joke would be happy to bust a couple more unscrupulous immigration officers.
  18. Stand your ground and don't be easily intimidated by the boys (and girls) in brown. They have no legal grounds to deny you entry if you meet the 3 requirements (cash, hotel, tickets). You never overstayed, you are not blacklisted. Everything they say about "staying in Thailand too much" is pure intimidation. I've been in Thailand 3+ years as a "tourist" and they tried to intimidate and give me sh*t countless times. I know all their tricks.
