Read online that you can apply for Thai citizenship while extending temporary visa in Thailand for 3 years. This clause is possible if you are married to Thai.

My question is whether the 3 years HAVE to be continuous or could it be a sum? Is it strictly enforced?

    Thank you for responding

Interesting question.  I think I already know some of the replies you will get!

Must have really been ages that you filled up tank last time, because there is no 40% difference in price between regular and B10.

It must be almost a year ago now that regular diesel would set you back 1100 Baht for 38 liter

"there is no 40% difference in price"  That wasn't what I meant. Looking back I may have confused people. When I purchased the 700 baht of B10 the gauge went to the top white line on the gauge.  If I filled it up it would have gone over the top white line and hit the gauge limit which would account for the extra money in the OP.  Even if I had an extreme fill-up at 3 baht difference it's still only 150 baht between the 2.

The wife just said to me it was 36L not 38L.   And a year ago a fill up to pussies bow was around 1400!

The only place I know to get premium diesel is Shell.

Same with my Ranger 2013, about same performance, not sure about consumption as I don't monitor it that much.

OP what vehicle do you have?

It's a Mitsubishi Strada with the old style diesel engine.  The next model with the funny curved bodywork in the side of the cab back end has a totally different engine which runs on any diesel so I have been told.  If I'd known the clowns in government would start playing games with the fuel in the future I would have paid the extra for the ugly one!  ????

  4. I don't see the VHS Train ever turning a profit.   I have always Been a rail enthusiast.  The facts are there for everyone to see, freight cost per mile is unchallengable by road freight...as for a passenger only track...cost per mile for each traveller is through the roof until you fix the tickets at a high price, run longer trains and fill the trains and increase the frequency.  In a country where 80% of people are low income it's a tough ask.   They would have been better off with a standard gauge line with CTC and in cab signalling and running diesel electric locos at Max 160kph. At least the locos could do freight work and help cover costs specially if they run Bangkok to Kunming with minimum stops.  Do rail but don't break the elephants back in the process!

  5. I haven't seen any pregnant 11 year olds around here...yet.  Plenty of 14, 15 and 16 year olds with baby bulges.

But it's not a new thing.  There are plenty of early 20's girls with 3 or 4 kids.

But I agree that the introduction of Western food has increased the fat levels of some kids way past what it should be.  Obesity is a growing problem.

Reminds me of a similar looking type of bike I borrowed from a mate in UK to pass my test on when I was 16 yr old.

A  BSA 175 Bantam 2 stroke motorcycle, horrible thing.  ????.

Better a Bantam than no bike at all!  My dad has quite a few in the shed down the farm.  Was allowed to borrow one on the condition if I break it I fix it and I didn't take it off the property.  Got good at fixing them!  And in the end 860 acres just got to small so my older brother and I started riding the dirt tracks around the district...but after a while dad found out and we got the severest punishment for our indiscretion...no using the bikes for 6 months.   Dad had to stop riding at 75 years of age...I am 68 in a few weeks and on course to still be riding when I am 80!  ????

People on retirement and marriage extensions are treated like real criminals anyway with this ridiculous 90 day reporting.

I think of the immigration officer as my parole officer for crimes yet to be committed.  Generally I don't comment on some things regarding immigration in Phitsanulok as I generally get a fair go there but a few years ago I drove to Phuket for my sons wedding.  On the last day I realised I needed to be at immigration next day for an extension.  So I headed out early and we drove and drove and drove stopping once for fuel and a peee.  I got to Bangkok and I was knackered so we made our way to the IBIS Hotel in Sathorn where we usually stay and got a room.  Despite being krap next morning we got a taxi to Laksi and went to immigration to report.  Turns out the beast from hell works there and we got her as our contact.  After a lot of talk we got told go to Phitsanulok.....  I had stomach trouble and we stayed 2 days which put me behind. The third day we drove to immigration in Phitsanulok.   We explained our predicament but the reaction we got would be like if I had just run over the head monk!  No sympathy what so ever.  And that's when I was told I would have to pay a fine for being late.  If I had been jacking off I wouldn't complain but I was sick.  Apparently I should have gone to a doctor and got a letter stating my condition.  We went to a pharmacy and got the drugs!

Once the tourists from these countries are allowed in freefall, there will be a huge spike in the number of the Coronavirus. I cannot understand why the Thai Government is raving on about the number of Chinese tourists coming in and it will improve the economy.. The Chinese come to Thailand in Chinese owned airplanes, get picked up at the airport in a coach driven by a Chinese person, transported to a Chinese owned and operated hotel, mostly staffed by Chinese, taken on tours with similar coach arrangement, taken to Chinese owned duty free shops, after 7 to 10 days taken back to the airport and back to China in a Chinese owned and operated airplane.                    What financial gain is there for Thailand???

Landing and departure fee's at Swampy.

I wonder if these employees totally voluntarily said 'I want to resign.

Seems very doubtful they would do that, especially in such a large number, without some prompting to resign.

In many counties this would be high unethical and highly illegal.

What you don't realise is Thailand is the centre of the universe and what applies "In many counties" or for that matter countries, isn't worth a tinkers damm here.
