This applies in every country on the planet, is recognised and understood by everyone serious about their riding; irrespective of age or location.

Here they come, one more person trying to somehow justify that driving a motorbike in Pattaya is safe.

While you are correct that driving a motorbike is unsafe regardless of where you live, you did forgot to mention that it is far more dangerous in a heavily congested city where there are NO traffic laws, the vast of the people on the road have had no training, in a county that has a notoriously high death rate when it comes to traffic accidents, and a high percentage of both the cars and motorbikes are driven by people that are intoxicated.

Did I miss anything, I am sure I did and maybe somebody will fill in the blanks.

As an oldie with decades of experience I can confirm that bikes can be safe.

Ha, ha, ha, what a joke!!!

One more guy that's trying to convince himself that riding motorbikes in Pattaya is even close to being remotely safe. When in reality, he knows every time he takes his bike out for a cruse he is risking his life.

The only problem with his comment is that after he gets killed on his bike he won't be able to come back from the dead and post on here that he was totally wrong and nobody should ever ride a motorbike in Pattaya.

  3. I like to use all kinds of artwork to decorate my condo. But, I don't have any hand carved wood, and I would like to get some. Does anybody know a shop that carries this specialty craft. If so, please post it and provide directions to the store if possible.

    Thanks in advance.

The book must be updated on the day of application at Jomtien, the letter I believe can be at least one day old, possibly more.

That's not true. I got my retirement visa on Monday February 3rd 2020. I got my letter from the bank and had my bank-book updated on Friday January 31st 2020. This was done at the Jomtien immigration office.

  5. I have a retirement visa and I left the country for a few days. I got a re-enter permit as required. Without leaving the country I was supposed to do my 90 day reporting today, April 15. I re-entered the country on March 28. As I understand it, I don't have to do my 90 reporting again until 90 days after March 28. Is that correct, or am I messing up?

Thanks for your help in advance.

  6. I have got your answer and I have been eating it for almost 10 years now.

The Boat Bakery on 2nd road in Pattaya.

It is located on the opposite side of the street just a couple of blocks south of the Royal Garden Plaza.

It comes with a vegetable melody topped with a home made cheese sauce (which is not that good), toasted and buttered roll, french fries, and a breaded deep fried chicken breast that is topped with a home made chicken gravy (which is pretty good) and that meal cost a whole 95 Baht, which of course makes it the best meal deal in Pattaya.

You can also order a pork, beef, or fish steak and they all come with the same side dishes.

  7. Find the place you like and offer 50-65% of the advertised price for a long rental. If they dont accept just smile and move on to the next one.

Ha, ha, ha in a good building that is NEVER going to happen. Such bad advice!

  8. As for state of repairs of the roads, you'll probably get used to it eventually.

No I won't, they totally SUCK and I want them fixed NOW!

I walk by them every day and I am sick and tired of walking around them and seeing them.

I think I made my point perfectly clear on this issue.

  9. As I said a few days ago, I would report back on Jack's service.\

He was waiting downstairs for me at 2:45 AM, which was 15 minutes early.

Quick and nice ride to the airport.

Jack speaks pretty good English and he is a very nice guy.

I would definatly recommend him and I will surly use him again.

    Thanks Les for the suggestion.

  10. This guy will not let you down.

He's not a company, but a private car owner. Well maintained, comfortable car and a very safe driver. Speaks English and is never late. You won't be disappointed. He's been driving me and my friends around for about 5 years.

    Jack: 086 1488501

    He charges 1200 baht

    I took your recommendations, thanks.

He does speak good English which of course is great.

I will report back on his service.

    Thanks again

  11. When I used to take taxis without booking them far in advance I stopped at the White Rose and arranged it. When I took a car service it was always a little more but infinitely mor comfortable. Usually a Volvo (new) with a great driver (Khun Lek I think) .. I will look for his number

    Thanks
