  1. I am thankful that I do not have enough experience in the whore world. You however, wear it as a mark of pride. Reality - Having an intimate knowledge of nana plaza and its environs us a bizarre thing to take pride in.
  2. Nonsense. You are trying to create this picture of Thai prostitutes being different, perpetuating your past remarks about them having a kind of “innocence”. Reality is that they are prostitutes, having sex for money - nothing more, nothing less. Do you really think that only having sex with one man a night makes them less of a prostitute? Further, they are close to the lowest social class in an undeveloped country and would not be touched by the average Thai man, only by peasants, construction workers, etc. Uncultured, uneducated and lacking any social skills - probably only learned to eat with utensils after they came to Bangkok.
  3. Hope they made him pay an extortionate amount for a checked bag
  4. Another high class tourist. Takes a simple mind to be so impressed with this behavior that it rates a forum post
  5. “Potential negligence” “erred” - how about investigating bribery and other corruption? Further “erred” is a mistake. Certifying these buses as safe is a deliberate action, not a mistake
  6. Why not simply enforce existing laws?
  7. Key word being “international”. Thai standards on domestic safety matters are very poor or nonexistent
  8. If one of the drivers has an accident, will he run away?
  9. They did not have cheap prostitutes as a topic in the ratings
  10. Used to buy chicken from a street seller. Always declined the sauce she offered because I bought it for my dog.
  11. The hub of reducing tax on wine
  12. Really good post. So many expats in Thailand who are barely surviving financially, but feel they are superior to western women. Posting and commenting about whether a bargirl (aka prostitute) will make a good wife or girlfriend, discussing which street food is best, complaining about the price of a beer, panicking when the baht gets slightly stronger, etc, etc. Plenty of losers claiming that western women are only after their money when they have no money to begin with.
  13. No common sense and absolutely no regard for people’s safety in so many areas. Pedestrians, driving, air quality, cancer causing foods (pesticides, overused cooking oils, sugar, salts, etc).
  14. Only had one butler, but agree with your opinion of the Dharmawangsa
  15. People who cause these actions usually have minimal assets and suffer no consequences. Time to bring back public floggings with the cane to show these dummies what will happen to them.
  16. Fairness and equality - good luck in finding your socialist utopia. Why are you unfairly disadvantaged? You have the same opportunity to apply for an LTR as anyone else. Apparently, you chose a different visa. Only yourself to blame
  17. What is your reasoning behind this? If you have an LTR, should not be a concern for you. If you do not have an LTR, then apply for one, if you qualify. Otherwise, remember that “you get what you pay for”.
  18. Very clear explanation and, unfortunately, I do not think you are mistaken
  19. I have a similar plan, but I strongly suspect that once the global tax change goes into effect, the “stay in Thailand less than 180 days” loophole will also be closed. Thailand will simply require residence visa holders to be resident in Thailand for 180 days, or the visa will be cancelled. This is a requirement in most countries for residence visas. Fir example, take a look at Portugal or UK requirements to be in country 180 days to retain the visa. If it comes to this, I will give up my visa and simply stay as a tourist
  20. See it quite a bit in Bangkok, when they are leading the man to the ATM. Makes as much sense as posters on various forums who refer to prostitutes as “ladies”
